Tempe Union High School Students Suspended, NAACP Leader Says Reporter Has "Nice T*ts"

Six female Tempe Union High School students received 5-day suspensions recently for wearing black t-shirts that together spelled out the word NI**ER. This understandably sparked outrage. The president of the Maricopa County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Don Harris, himself professionally and personally offended, attended an event at the school to discuss the incident. Harris was on hand to accept apologies and demand action.
After the meeting was over, while various participants were speaking with members of the media, Harris was caught- on camera while giving an interview- stating that Channel 12 reporter Monique Griego had “nice tits."  Ray Stern, a reporter for the New York Times, was talking to Griego at the time. “I can’t believe that someone in his position would not understand how inappropriate that comment was at the time he made it,” Stern said. “Here’s the leader of the NAACP talking about the N-word and then making this comment, that was more inappropriate than I could even believe,” he told ABC 15.
Harris doesn’t believe Griego heard him at the time and says his comment just slipped out “guy to guy.” He went on to call his comment “ugly” and says he now feels “down in the dumps.” He says he knows he let down the NAACP. Harris, who is white, was critical of then NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal after she was exposed last April for pretending to be black. He appeared on CNN and stressed the fact that “When you have a leader in any capacity, you’ve got to have credibility.”
The New York Times contacted Harris after the incident and reported that Harris said, “I apologize if anyone was offended. I could have said nothing…I’m really f*cking sorry.” He apparently went on to say, “I’m going to slash my wrists. Better yet, I’m going to throw myself out of a f*cking window, except I’m on the first floor…I’m one of the best g*dd*mned people in the state.” He said people doubted him when he was first selected chapter president because “I was the wrong flavor,” but added, “They’ve seen me now, they’ve seen what I’ve done. I’ve given up my law practice. I’m down here six, seven days a week. That’s what my commitment is. I support NOW, the women’s organization — g*dd*mn! — are you sh*tting me?”
You just can’t make this stuff up. The liberal mind…is a terrible thing.

According to reports, Griego hasn’t commented on the issue, but Harris insists he wants to apologize face-to-face.

Especially if Griego is wearing a vee-neck sweater.
