Terror Rising, West Falling

The number of fatalities related to terrorism soared 60% last year according to a report by the nonprofit Institute for Economics and Peace. Most of these deaths occurred in the Middle East. Policies matter. (Thanks B.H.O., for getting us out and making us look weak and unexceptional-see my  “ISIL Leader Mocks Obama” post). Four groups including ISIL, Boko Haram, and the Taliban ‘took credit’ for two-thirds of worldwide deaths related to terrorism in 2013, the report said, describing radical variants of Islam as “the key commonality for all four groups.” Imagine that.
However, the world’s industrialized nations, including the U.S., often targeted by groups such as these in the past, have suffered relatively few attacks on their soil since the Sept. 11, 2001 onslaught.
Thanks, George ‘W’. Or do you think Al Gore would’ve done as well?

Terror rises now… as the West falls.

U.S. to Topple Own Towers

September 11, 2015- Washington, D.C.

President Obama announced today that the United States will pre-emptively begin destroying all buildings over 50 stories tall across the country starting September 11th, 2016.

“In order to assure the world community that we harbor no notions of architectural superiority, that we do not think of ourselves as reaching for higher goals than any other society, nation, community, or group….this is the right thing to do.

“In particular, we want to assure our Islamist brothers and sisters that we will no longer taunt them with politically incorrect…indeed hurtful and hateful…buildings which seem to say to them that we simply want to gobble up all the world’s resources and use them to promote a hyper- capitalist society bent on exploiting the world’s downtrodden masses and lording over them with tall buildings in which people engage in such activities as free trade and finance, etc.”

After the president issued his fatwa against existing tall American buildings, he proposed new legislation restricting the construction of any new ‘skyscrapers’ to under 50 stories as well- in perpetuity.

“As you know, I believe deeply in the principle of American un-exceptionalism and in the manifest destiny of one-world government. I also believe we do not have the right to irritate any other people or offend them in any way.

“With these concrete  actions showing our support for the world community, and respect for our Muslim friends, we are sure that we can now all co-exist in non-judgemental  peace and harmony for ever and ever, so help us Allah….I mean God…or whatever.”

Fast And Furious?

Signs of the U.S.’s growing weakness and incompetence now come on a near daily basis.

The Obama administration releases five top terrorists in exchange for…one U.S. deserter. A headline in the June 19 St. Paul Pioneer Press (over an article by Craig Whitlock of the Washington Post) reads “U.S. balks at flexing its muscle in Iraq- too risky”. We want a ‘dialogue’ with Iran. We were stunned by Putin’s actions in the Crimea & the Ukraine.

And recently we learned that an American marine is still being held in a Mexican jail, nearly two months after being seized for accidentally making a wrong turn and entering Mexico while carrying his service weapon.

Surely, demanding Mexico release our marine isn’t ‘too risky’ for the Obama administration.

In fact, their actions to this end should have been… ‘fast and furious’.

Postscript:

The U.S. recently detained four armed Mexican policeman for accidentally entering this country, but promptly returned them to Mexico after 72 hours.
