Young People Lonelier Than Ever, Studies Show

Several recent studies have revealed that people are feeling lonelier than in the past. This is especially true of youth and young adults under age 25. There is mounting evidence that younger folks, particularly in the wealthy West, are lonelier than they were in the past.
For example, George Mason University conducted a study of 1,200 people in the United States and found that one in three of those polled under the age of 25 frequently felt lonely, as compared to only 11% of those older than 65. To many of us, this seems counterintuitive. Yet, another study, conducted in the United Kingdom, revealed that 40% of respondents between the ages of 16 and 24 felt lonely “often or very often,” as opposed to 27% of adults over 75.
Stephanie Cacioppo, director of the Brain Dynamics Laboratory at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, stated in an email that: "Our research shows that loneliness is a subjective mental state rather than an age-related symptom. Loneliness does not discriminate. Everyone is at risk."
Thank goodness loneliness doesn’t discriminate, or we’d have to subject it to lawsuits and fines! That said, why would today’s youth, with constant access and exposure to the internet, smart phones, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and a host of other social media platforms, be so much lonelier than those in days of yore? Ironically, perhaps because they have constant access and exposure to the internet, smart phones, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and a host of other social media platforms…but often not to both mom and dad, religious and community groups, a Bible, unrevised histories of their nations and traditions, and a hammock on the family homestead, free of all electronic devices and mindless interruptions, affording them the opportunity to truly connect…to the land, to their ancestors, and to their God…on a meaningful level.
Snapchatting nudes, tweeting out banalities, nose stuck in their phones as they walk by other humans without seeing or acknowledging them, these youth experience others—and life in general-- as a sort of semi-pointless video game. Technological advances notwithstanding, this is no replacement for, for example, living on the family farm, slopping the hogs, swimming with the neighbor kids in the creek that runs through the back 40, listening to FDR give a fireside chat on the radio, and playing cards or a board game in the evening with your extended family at the dining room table. It. Just. Isn’t.
Leftists have done everything in their power to indoctrinate kids into believing that their country is bad, or at best unexceptional, but also that there is no power higher than government. They tell some of them that they are intrinsically racist and bigoted, and others that they are victims…and that neither group can do anything about it. And then they tell them that the world will end soon due to man-caused “climate change,” as if the climate was uniformly stagnant and stable prior to the industrial revolution.
And then they wonder why many are lonely, lost and depressed.
Ironically, today’s social media too often lead to loneliness and anti-social behavior, just as “progressive” policies and dogma eventually lead to hopelessness and despair.

Democrats Wrong About Everything Pertaining To The Coronavirus

It is interesting that the left blames Trump for all things coronavirus. Consider that everything progressives recommend makes the spread of disease faster and much more likely. Leftists want everyone to live in big cities, in multi-unit dwellings, the bigger and taller the better. They wish to de-emphasize or do away with the private automobile and herd everyone into various forms of mass transit public transportation. They would like to ban drive-throughs at fast food outlets, banks and pharmacies and make people enter these places of business and mingle together. They had already banned the use of disposable plastic bags in many localities. During this current pandemic, they have had to bring back the plastic bag and ban the use of the very reusable cloth bags of which they had been so fond due to their tendency to harbor potentially dangerous bacteria. You’d think they’d admit to having egg on their faces—as well as in their bags. But being progressive means never having to say you’re sorry, let alone wrong. This is why they still tout Socialism even after its 100-year track record of misery and death. Speaking of Socialism, “progressives” didn’t even want to ban travel to and from China as the COVID-19 pandemic was overtaking the globe. They said that would be xenophobic and bigoted…and brutalized President trump for doing so. How many more people would be sick and dying if he hadn’t? Leftists housing and drug policies have greatly exacerbated the homeless problem, which also aids and abets the spread of disease. And then there is their love of open borders and sanctuary cities. A perfect recipe for the needless introduction and distribution of sickness and affliction of every type.
Every damn thing progressive Democrats (is there any other kind?) propose is wrong. Every policy prescription, every edict, every mandate. If we just did the opposite of whatever they propose to have us do, we would be immeasurably better off.
Still think they really care for people? Still believe them when they say things like, “even one death is too many?” (See also abortion and Planned Parenthood.) You shouldn’t, and they don’t. They only care about their ideas in a bubble. The same bubble in which they—and all their acquaintances-- live. They want to feel noble, superior to we troglodytes in fly-over country. That’s fine. Keep trying to lord your wokeness over us, you elitist frauds. Keep flying over us, too. Keep the diseases you nurture to yourself. That goes for the twin plagues of coronavirus…and Socialism.
                                          ***************************
(Labeling the coronavirus the China Flu is racist? Maybe we should go back to using the term “swine flu.” It’s been used before but would be particularly fitting in this case. We could name it for Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Rashida Tlaib and all the rest of the Democratic scoundrels.)

Welcome To Dystopia: The Future Effects Of The Coronavirus Crisis

As the world comes to a whimpering halt, some of us increasingly believe that the effects of the coronavirus crisis will be far-reaching and perhaps even permanent. There will be both positive and negative effects, to be sure, but, tragically, I’m afraid the negatives may far outweigh the positives. I have never more fervently wished to be wrong. I shall endeavor to list some of each to follow.
First, on the bright side, people may continue to practice better hygiene and be more diligent about cleanliness. Those in the mainstream media have again been shown to be amoral, fear-mongering hypocrites who couldn’t care less about non-elites…or the truth. Their credibility will be gone, their approval ratings at an all-time low. Maybe, just maybe, a few aspiring journalists may learn from this. With university classes going online only, many professors have already stated they are nervous about having everything they say, teach and promulgate be recorded for posterity. Roaches don’t like exposure to sunlight and fresh air. The most radical and dangerous of these instructors will have nowhere to hide. Colleges will likely be seen as unnecessary in their current guise and shown to be outrageously and needlessly expensive. When people realize they can get much the same education online, it will be much harder for the schools to justify their staggering administrative and social-justice compliance expenditures, as well as their profligate spending on physical fixtures and amenities. Moreover, there will be a concurrent rise in home schooling and a greater respect for those so educated. This will help loosen the grip the government has on indoctrination…I mean education.
Hopefully, American (and other free market capitalist nation’s) businesses will be recognized as the most responsive, creative, efficient, productive and successful in fighting the COVID-19 outbreak and creating vaccines to prevent its continued spread. At the same time, perhaps the Iranian mullahs will be further weakened, and China recognized as the problem it is on many levels. Could the Chinese Communist government also lose any credibility it somehow heretofore possessed?
Now for the negatives, which are many and pernicious. Many small businesses will likely be unable to reopen. We will be saddled with massive, potentially world-economy destroying debt. Unemployment rates will likely stay higher than before the crisis, as not working is being incentivized and subsidized while businesses, employment, productivity, and success are being disincentivized or outright punished. There will be a concurrent increase in dependence and loss of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. There has already been increased acceptance of government control of every aspect of our lives: when and if we can work, where we are “allowed” to go and who we can see among them. America was already flirting with Socialism. It may be ready to consummate the relationship…and make it permanent. There have been calls for a one-world government to most effectively deal with pandemics such as this. Those calls will only grow louder and more frequent. (If you think this is a good idea, reflect on how effective the U.N. is at solving the world’s woes.)
One aftereffect I haven’t heard mentioned is the likelihood that large scale or even global shutdowns and lockdowns will become more frequent, and for ever-less dire threats. Look at how this crisis was handled by world governing bodies as opposed to SARS, H1N1 (Swine Flu) and other previous viral outbreaks.
Then there are the social repercussions. Already articles have pointed out that there is less pollution because of the lack of manufacturing and business activity. Animals are comparatively thriving. Why, the planet is better off! This idea that humans are bad for the Earth will gain more traction. Then, there is likely to be continued social avoidance, a lingering leeriness to human interaction of every kind. You may see a diminution of handshakes, hugging, kissing and person-to-person affection in general. There may even be less human intercourse and a falling birth rate. Sex-bots and dolls will increasingly replace real humans as preferred—and safer—partners for intimacy, though whatever transpires between a human and a robot cannot truly be “intimate.” Some experts say that a measurable percentage of the population may “marry” these advanced, fleshy robots. Sexting and internet porn have gotten even more prevalent and will probably continue to do so. Masturbation will become the main form of human sexual expression.
Finally, there will be ever more reliance on artificial intelligence (A.I.) in all things. And people will have real difficulty in discerning between virtual reality and…reality.
Ironically, though the Chinese Communist government has threatened to cast the U.S. “into the mighty Sea of Coronavirus,” we are, in reality, being rapidly carried down the River of Doubt, past Cape Fear, and are about to be deposited into the Dirty Delta of Socialism.

University Asks People To Put It In Their Wills During Pandemic

A few days after the University of Mississippi announced that it was transitioning to an online-only class schedule to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, the school sent out an email asking people to consider including the institution in their wills. The email referred to the old expression that “change is the only constant in life,” and specifically cited the “health” and “financial” changes, among others, that many people experience. It then noted: “By adding a bequest in your will, you guarantee that the priorities in your life are matched to your legacy. Also, by expressing the philanthropic priorities of your life, you can continue investing in the students, faculty, mission and values of the University of Mississippi.” I think not, thank you. Our health and finances are changing, rapidly and for the worse.
The school apparently recognized the horrific timing of the missive, sent out as it was during the COVID-19 global pandemic, and quickly sent out an email reading: “We deeply apologize for a University Development email sent Tuesday morning dealing with estate-planning information. This message was a previously scheduled newsletter focused on providing guidance for planned giving. The delivery of this message at this time was insensitive in the current climate. We have adjusted our communication protocols to align them with the emergency situation facing our university and nation, and we are sorry for the distress that this message caused.”
I’m sure the school will send out another heart-felt, follow-up email soon, reading: “Again, we are frightfully sorry about the original email asking you to put us in your will. It was clearly in bad taste, considering the global pandemic we are all currently experiencing. We assure you we are not hypocritical, greedy little pointy-headed left-wing monsters bashing capitalism while clamoring for your money. You can be certain it won’t happen again. After all, we are an institution of higher learning and, as such, learn from our mistakes, ha, ha, ha. But, if you happen to be feeling a bit off, maybe a bit feverish or short of breath, we do hope you’ll consider donating whatever you can to the noble cause of a great college such as the University of Mississippi. Whatever you can afford to invest, whether it be $50, $1,000, $10,000, your entire estate, or even an internal organ or two, will be greatly valued. Stay safe. Cordially, University Development.”

Democrats Introduce New Coronavirus Relief Bill

March 31, 2020
Capitol Hill

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) introduced a new coronavirus relief bill earlier today that would mandate that all Republicans self-quarantine and shelter-in-place “indefinitely.” After formal presentation of the legislation, Speaker Pelosi said, “This much needed bill would provide the social-distancing we need, protecting our Republican friends even as we Democrats selflessly and courageously expose ourselves to disease here in Congress while we continue to conduct the nation’s vital business for the good of the people.”
The bill would also “ban the gathering of more than five conservatives in any one general location in perpetuity/until the end of time,” so that they “don’t infect college campuses, media outlets or polling places.”
Pelosi and Schumer also strongly suggested it would be “best for the country” to have a national lockdown put in place until Monday, November 2nd.

Oil Crises Old And New

If you are old enough, you remember the old “oil crisis” that was one of the hallmarks of the Sorry Seventies…1970s, that is. Experts at the time said that the world was running out of petroleum, or crude oil, and that this “Energy Crisis” was with us to stay. After all, the planet wasn’t making any more black gold. We were told to expect rationing and a new normal lifestyle which would likely include shivering in one’s dwelling in the cold months and sweating in it in the warm ones. The family vehicle might have to be a Schwinn, they said, but, hey, we just might be healthier.
Fast forward until today. Welcome to the new “oil crisis,” one in which oil companies and producing nations are trying to weather historically low prices brought on by the “coronavirus crisis” and the discovery of vast additional reserves of oil and the technology to extract it. We have the bizarre reality that gasoline, a product derived from crude oil, a non-renewable resource that has to be somehow extracted from the ground with incredibly expensive, high-tech equipment, is now selling for far less a gallon than the naturally and continually produced milk fairly leaking from the bloated teats of the nation’s nearly 10 million dairy cows. Milk: $2.49/gallon, gasoline $1.99/gallon…perhaps going to 99 cents a gallon. Damn that Big Oil! (What does that say about Big Dairy?)
With gas prices like this, I plan to “self-quarantine” by driving around the neighborhood in my car all day, hermetically-sealed in perpetual motion.
Ponder this: in the 1970s, experts were certain that “global cooling” and an energy crisis were going to be two of mankind’s most serious challenges. There were long lines at the pump and rationing of gasoline was not unheard of. Nearly half a century later, experts are warning us about global warming and the collapse of oil prices.
And people are standing in long lines and experiencing rationing of another vital product: toilet paper.
Apparently, experts are full of crap. And so are we.

A New March Madness

We are living through a new kind of March Madness, one characterized not by college basketball mania, but by stir craziness and cabin fever brought on by coronavirus prevention measures such as self-quarantines and “social-distancing.” After a long winter, those of us in the north country are already desperate to shed our S.A.D., to get out of the house, to travel, to mingle, to party a bit. And now? No. Sadness, unease, fear of the unknown and anger mix with the cabin fever to form a truly virulent and unstable derangement in some, as evidenced by toilet paper shortages and calls to 911 to report them.
It is said that April showers bring May flowers. Let us all pray that is true this spring. After such an extended—and enforced—period of cold, dark, and damp, we are all anxious to return color to our lives. Let the flowers bloom. And we will all step outside and turn our faces once more to the sun.

If Today's CNN & MSNBC Had Covered The Attack On Pearl Harbor

If Today’s CNN Or MSNBC Covered The Attack On Pearl Harbor…Live, Sunday, December 7, 1941

2 PM EST

CNN Newsroom: “Well there is certainly something happening here. You can see on the screen there are many planes above Pearl Harbor, many dropping what appear to be bombs towards the U.S. fleet, some strafing the airfield. This does not appear to be a drill. Over to Brian Stelter now…Brian, what’s your best guess as to what’s going on here?”

Stelter: “Well, Don, we don’t want to jump to conclusions or cast aspersions, but the planes appear to be Japanese ‘Zeros.’ That is not meant to be, in any way, a comment on intelligence or relative worth we should add. Nor is it directed at those with limited or no achievements. No hate speech here. What I can tell you is that this may well be an elaborate ruse by white supremacists in costume and flying planes carefully made up to look like the graceful Japanese Zeros from the Empire of Japan, or ‘Dai Nippon Teikoku’ as the Japanese themselves refer to their ancient and beloved homeland.”

MSNBC Live with Katy Tur (looks downtrodden): “I am told we have confirmation that it is, indeed, the Japanese that are bombing Pearl Harbor. Lawrence, what is your take on this tragedy? Could it be a simple case of misidentification?”

O’Donnell: “Katy, while that’s certainly plausible, I believe that we brought the attack on ourselves with our unwillingness to sell them enough oil at decent prices…capitalism you know. It’s always about the Benjamins, the cash. Disgusting really.”

The following morning…

MSNBC’s Morning Joe: “We’ve all heard about the…um…occurrence at Pearl Harbor yesterday, but what we are hearing now is even more depressing. Apparently, in the wake of the…dust up…many Americans are refusing to eat at Japanese restaurants. Mika, if that’s true…my God, that’s horrible!”

Brzezinski: “It’s despicable, Joe. These xenophobic, racist bigots make me sick! And ashamed to be an American. Sadly, this is the big story today.”

Washington State Temporarily Bans Weddings And Funerals

To say these are crazy times is to engage in understatement. Much of the world’s population is being encouraged—or forced—to “self-quarantine” and/or “shelter in place” due to the coronavirus threat. In many countries, “non-essential” businesses have been forced to close until further notice. Time will tell us these businesses aren’t so “non-essential” as unemployment skyrockets and economies weaken. “Social-distancing” is another practice we are all encouraged to utilize. It seems strange observing a line of people at a checkout being spaced six or more feet apart, or being one of only, say, six people allowed into a store at the same time.
The governor of the state of Washington, Jay Inslee, has taken social-distancing to a new level. In addition to ordering the state’s 7 million residents to stay home and closing all of the aforementioned non-essential businesses, he recently banned weddings and funerals. This seems a bit draconian, even in these times. Okay, I can understand putting the kibosh on weddings for a while in the interest of keeping people healthy. Plus, people can assumedly still run to Las Vegas and elope. But banning funerals? If there is one service that is essential during a bleeping pandemic it would be funerals. They, unfortunately, go hand-in-hand. They are endemic to a pandemic as it were. As the number of deaths rises, it seems a bit harsh to tell families they can’t give their recently deceased loved ones a proper good-bye.
It is relatively easy to postpone a wedding indefinitely. The same cannot be said for funerals. There isn’t a funeral version of eloping. Or at least there shouldn’t be. The deceased shouldn’t be the only one in attendance at their own funeral.
Let us hope the coronavirus can be contained soon. With each day—and every person—that passes, we become a little less human.

Democrats Block Coronavirus Relief Bill-- Again

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer somehow managed to sink to a new low during negotiations over a coronavirus emergency relief bill. They and their fellow Democrats blocked passage of the Senate Republican stimulus package for the second time in as many days. Instead, Pelosi introduced her own bill, one filled with a laundry-list of special interest agendas and progressive programs utterly unrelated to fighting the coronavirus or easing the financial pain and suffering of families and businesses. Rather, Pelosi’s bill calls for compulsory same-day voter registration and would force federal agencies to report to Congress on how they are increasing their usage of “minority banks.” It would require the reporting of racial and pay statistics for corporate boards and industry employment figures by race. It would provide for the automatic extension of non-immigrant visas and prevent colleges from providing authorities information about citizenship status. It would require every corporation that receives coronavirus aid to have officers and a budget specifically dedicated to diversity and inclusion initiatives for a minimum of five years. And, as Tucker Carlson noted, the bill “is suffused with the cruel bigotry of identity politics. At a time when America so desperately needs to come together, Democrats remain intent on splitting this country into warring tribes, It’s shocking.” Pelosi’s bill uses the terms “diverse” or “diversity” more than 60 times.
Her bill seeks to protect Planned Parenthood, strengthen sanctuary cities and keep the borders open. And it mandates that airlines achieve a 50 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2050.
None of these things will help to prevent the spread of coronavirus or help anyone who is affected by it. In fact, many will do the opposite. Climate change initiatives, identity politics, and ballot harvesting is all the Democrats know. They don’t give a rat’s ass about most Americans. They care far more about helping their future voting base survive and prosper, i.e. “undocumented aliens.” That’s why they so desperately want open borders and sanctuary cities, two things that help spread diseases not fight them. Planned Parenthood? Well, I guess if Democrats eventually agree to help save some folks they want the leeway to exterminate others. And, just as the airlines have been devastated by the coronavirus (less than two decades after nearly being wiped out by 9/11) they want to impose costly, nearly unattainable restrictions on them. In a sane world this would be unbelievable.
Imagine if the Democrats had proposed a similar emergency relief bill and Republicans had blocked it on consecutive days because they wanted to use the crisis to achieve their political goals. The Democrats—and the media—would scream bloody murder. And they would be right to do so.
At the same time Democrats shout “We’re all gonna die! Trump must do more! This is a unique and existential crisis!” they coldly and calculatedly refuse to do anything to alleviate it…unless they can enhance their own power.
                That is sick.

Coronavirus Being Used As Trojan Horse

Multiple reports indicate that the Chinese Communist government is putting out fake news and going to great difficulty to make it appear to outsiders as if they have nearly defeated the coronavirus and are returning to business as usual. The Chinese government has allegedly forced many businesses to leave their lights on and machinery running, and to falsify staff attendance logs, as well, to make it appear that things are returning to the status quo. This is yet another example of why communist and authoritarian countries are so dangerous. This willingness to hide facts and information, in order to make themselves and their systems look good, led to countless needless deaths at the outset of the outbreak, spawning economic suicide and untold misery around the world. This latest charade will not help matters, either.

In their own way, progressives and leftists with their political correctness-at-all-costs mindset have a similar deleterious effect. We can’t say this, you can’t say that, I can’t use this word, etc., etc. They wish to hide or deny the obvious, pull down statues, rewrite history, and pretend they are the virtuous ones. They demand we use the “correct” pronouns as determined by the whims of any given individual, biology be damned. Priests and pastors are threatened with boycotts, fines or suspensions—even jail time—for reciting Bible verses that may be “problematic” and challenge the beliefs or behavior of certain identity groups.

But truth is not the enemy, but the one thing that can set us all free.

Yet we have chosen to imprison ourselves. Why?

How different our reaction to this virus from all that came before. Why? What will happen in the future? With precedent set, will we shut down the planet and all self-quarantine every other winter? Every winter? Every time a new virus is discovered? Will the world go dark ever more frequently? Will this help or hurt life-expectancy in the long run? Will we lose any innate protections against the very viruses we are avoiding and dispense with our “herd immunities?”  Ironically, the world, particularly the West, is likely to come out of this crisis tragically and dramatically worse off than it was before, precisely because it had grown too prosperous, too healthy, too soft…and unwilling to risk exposure to any of the perils with which our ancestors routinely dealt.

Earlier Americans, from The Founders and Abraham Lincoln to “the greatest generation” that weathered The Great Depression and World War II, believed that no foreign power/invader could ever take their country down. As Lincoln said, “If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher.” They were wrong as regards the Chinese Virus, the powerful yet diminutive foreign invader. But they were also right, in that we had to allow it to defeat us. Neither the Wuhan bug/Kung Flu nor the leftists could have taken us down had we bothered to put up a fight.

Who could’ve anticipated that the coronavirus would effectively be a trojan horse? This littlest of bugs is, deliberately and inadvertently, being used to weaken the United States and other Western democratic nations and terrorize their citizens into relinquishing many of their freedoms once and for all.

No one is disputing the serious health threat that COVID-19 assuredly poses. But we must not shy from the fact that leftists are using this tiniest of trojan horses in an attempt to finish off the erstwhile freest nation on Earth.

For, if we do, this nightmare is one from which we may never awaken.

News Nuggets

News Nuggets:

*Don’t believe in mainstream media bias? ABC, CBS, and NBC donated a combined 2,202 minutes of airtime, or nearly 37 hours, to the “Russian collusion probe” between January 21, 2017 and February 19, 2019, according to NewsBusters. Yet, after the Senate Intelligence Committee announced it had found no material evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign/administration and Russia, none of the three networks gave it even a single second of coverage over the next two days. Not. One. Single. Second.

*Still don’t believe in mainstream media bias? CNN recently ran an analysis piece claiming that President Trump was peddling “unsubstantiated hope” in regards to the coronavirus health crisis. That heartless bastard! A true leader should fill his people with fear, despair and hopelessness! Not so long ago, a Democratic president told an unsettled nation mired in the depths of a depression, “All we have to fear is fear itself.” He was rightly and universally lauded for this. The media at the time did not accuse him of peddling “unsubstantiated hope.”
*Speaking of CNN, this headline, from cnn.com, has to be the most callous of all: “There’s an unlikely beneficiary of coronavirus: The planet.” The more people who die, the better for Mother Earth. Yay!
*Speaking of headlines, I came across this one recently: “China exonerates late doctor reprimanded for warning about coronavirus.” Funny, seems like it is a lot easier for a Communist government to “exonerate” people after they are dead.
*House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) badmouthed the coronavirus stimulus proposal recently released by Senate Republicans, saying it was too focused on helping businesses rather than those who lose their jobs (because of reactions to the outbreak). Earth to morons: why and when do numbers of people typically lose their jobs? I’ll answer that. Why? Because the companies they work for go out of business.  When? When those companies go out of business. Moreover, when companies go out of business, we also suffer the loss of the often vital products and services they alone provide. How the hell did Pelosi and Schumer get their jobs?

Pandemic Versus Panic

It is as if a Homo Sapiens Day was added to the calendar, one month after Ground Hog’s Day. Though Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow this year, Panicked Pete did see his, and Americans are being asked to return to their homes and hibernate for at least the next six weeks.
Obviously, we pray for the health of everyone in the country—and around the world—and the COVID-19 pandemic is nothing to laugh about, but having to “self-quarantine” is not nearly the worst of coronavirus repercussions. Our reactions to it will change society for the long term and may well end freedom and prosperity as we—very, very recently in the case of the United States—knew it. And that statement isn’t hyperbole or based on mindless panic. Already the disease is the most politicized in history, with progressives using the threat of it to essentially repeal the Bill of Rights and the Constitution while also attempting to weaponize it against President Trump. Don’t believe that?
To wit: there is talk of nationalizing industries, massive government bailouts and simply giving every citizen large sums of cash. There are proposals to make businesses pay workers who get sick, to forgive student loans and defer or eliminate certain other loan and interest payments. A federal court in Washington unilaterally suspended the Fifth Amendment right to due process and Habeas Corpus and the Sixth Amendment guarantee of a speedy trial. An executive order issued by California Governor Gavin Newsome would empower the state to take over hotels, motels, and medical facilities as needed to quarantine, isolate or treat coronavirus patients. An executive order to seize private facilities to quarter other citizens is “progressive” even by Left Coast standards. The mayor of Champaign, Illinois, Deborah Frank Feinen, recently issued her own executive order flush with ordinances that would give her the authority to prohibit or restrict ingress and egress to the city. (I wonder if she is a big fan of the border wall.) She would also be able to ban the sale of firearms, ammunition, alcohol, and gasoline and other flammable or combustible products (except for that of gasoline put directly into a motor vehicle’s permanently affixed tank). Wonder Woman would similarly be empowered to direct the shutoff of power, water, and gas and authorize government to take possession—and title—to private property if in the best interests of the public during this crisis. Not to worry, though, the city hasn’t implemented any of these measures yet, it has just reserved the right to do so. It certainly wouldn’t ever abuse those powers, would it? And Mitt Romney (R-Utah) has proposed a universal basic income in the guise of sending every single American $1,000 or more, and other Republicans have quickly backed the plan…or similar ones.
Several governors have ordered the closing of all nursing and convalescent homes to visitors and prohibited their inmates  residents from leaving. This is understandable in one sense, but strips even those uncontaminated by the virus of their right to movement and assembly, courtesy of government coercion, without due process. Perhaps better left to the homes and residents themselves to decide?
Newark, N.J., is reportedly criminalizing “coronavirus disinformation,” including misleading “allegations” on social media, and is threatening those guilty of any “false reporting” with prosecution. If disinformation, misleading allegations, and false reporting were against the law, The New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN, and most other mainstream media outlets wouldn’t be in business and the majority of their employees would be incarcerated.
In a democratic republic, should there be any limits to government’s power in a declared emergency? Is that not why the Constitution was written and ratified in the first place? And the Bill of Rights?
In days of yore, people routinely lived through plagues, economic depressions and world wars. Or didn’t. Today, those of us who weren’t aborted have decided we should be utterly untroubled from birth to grave, mentally as well as physically.
The future is bleak indeed, not because of the coronavirus, or any virus, plague or malady, but because with this crisis government has seduced its servants citizens into becoming wards of the state, willing to give up any and all freedoms for a little false security.
While some of the above-listed draconian measures may be necessary in the short term to slow the virus, none will stop it. But they may put a sad and shocking end to the grand experiment that is/was the United States of America…and government of, by and for the people.
People can keep calling 911 to report an insufficient supply of toilet paper in their local stores. Or that their neighbor in the adjoining apartment is coughing suspiciously. I can ask the government to come and shake my pee-pee when I’m done urinating or to tuck me in at night.  But is this really how we want to bow out? Is this really the legacy we want to leave? Are we more concerned about our personal safety at this moment than we are about the future of our country and posterity? If so, we have let our forefathers and foremothers down-- from The Founders to Lincoln to The Greatest Generation—as well as our troops currently deployed in the Middle East and around the world.
Benjamin Franklin once famously said, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Franklin was asked, while coming out of the Constitutional Convention in September of 1787, what kind of government the Founders had created. He replied, “A republic……if you can keep it.”
By the end of 2020, we may know the answer to Franklin’s query.

Politicizing A Pandemic

According to a report in the Daily Caller, senior White House officials claim that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) pressed for “several” provisions which would guarantee federal funding for abortion services……during negotiations on a coronavirus economic relief package. One of those several demands was for $1 billion to reimburse laboratory claims. Can you say, “E-V-I-L?” But progressives never let a good crisis go to waste, and this world-wide life-threatening disease pandemic is no exception. Apparently, if pro-abortionists find themselves negotiating to save countless lives, they feel the necessity to ensure that funding is provided to take countless lives, as well. Yin-yang, I guess, to use a little Chinese lingo. After all, seems appropriate in this case.
What the hell does abortion have to do with protecting Americans from the coronavirus, you ask? Good question. Perhaps the more people protected from the coronavirus, the more will elect to have abortions. (I was going to say “women” instead of people, but I wanted to be inclusive.) Incredibly, Pelosi lashed out at Republicans for not immediately rolling over and acquiescing to her demands. She stated of the pushback, “Families have needs. We don’t need 48 hours. We need to just make a decision to help families now.” In reference to Congress’s upcoming recess week, she added, “I’m not sticking around because they don’t want to agree to language. Right now we have to find our common ground, work together, to get this done as soon as possible.” This is right out of the Democratic Playbook: add a partisan provision to a bill that has nothing whatsoever to do with it…and then blame Republicans for noticing.
This is another in a series of disgusting—and divisive—actions in which Pelosi has recently engaged. You will recall that she ripped up a copy of President trump’s State of the Union Address immediately upon its completion, with the world still watching. The Speaker is to repulsive as the Pacific is to oceans.
Speaking of repulsive, Planned Parenthood addressed the issue, tweeting: “Using this very real public health emergency to attack abortion coverage shows a despicable lack of concern about the severity of the crisis.” This, of course, is exactly the reverse of reality. It’s so preposterous, you can’t make it up. The administration and Republicans weren’t trying to use this crisis to “attack abortion coverage,” but Pelosi, Democrats and Planned Parenthood were trying to use it to promote abortion. Moreover, abortion itself is a crisis, a public health emergency.
Must Democrats make everything political? (It’s a rhetorical question. Sadly, I know the answer is ‘yes.’) Frankly, I’m surprised they didn’t also ask for another billion dollars to fund transgender bathrooms.
Let us all pray that the coronavirus, COVID-19, can be contained and eradicated in the very near future. Let us pray for those affected by this scourge. But let’s also remember that there is another illness to which we have already fallen prey: a sickness of the soul. And we need to fight this one, too.

Sanders Vows To Prosecute Fossil Fuel Executives

Avowedly Socialist Bernie Sanders, Democratic presidential candidate and long-time admirer of all things Communist, recently wrote on Twitter that, if elected, he would not only pass a Green New Deal, but would “criminally prosecute the fossil fuel executives who destroyed the planet.”
I assume those would be the same fossil fuel executives responsible for providing all of the products and energy allowing Bernie to live in luxury in not one, not two, but three homes-- while traveling around the country in private jets and limousines hectoring people on the evils of fossil fuels.
As is nearly always the case with radical progressives, he has everything exactly backwards, perfectly wrong. Fossil fuels, along with free market capitalism, have been the driving force behind the doubling of human life expectancy since 1800. They have allowed literally billions around the world to escape abject poverty. Fossil fuels, combined with the incentive and innovation that capitalism engenders, have made possible virtually every invention, every technological leap, and every advancement in health care achieved in the past 200 years. They have permitted dramatic improvements in sanitation, nutrition, and access to clean water. They have allowed countless billions to see parts of the world that would otherwise be unreachable. They have made it possible for nearly everyone to be immunized against heretofore deadly diseases and led to the invention of advanced medicines, hardware and surgical techniques that have saved the lives of staggering numbers of human beings. They have allowed for the transmission of more information in the space of minutes than was possible in a person’s (much shorter) lifetime just decades ago. They have not only saved many lives but made them worth living.
Before a Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Al Gore, Michael Moore, or any other shameless charlatan steps up to a microphone again to badmouth fossil fuels (or capitalism), they should think of what their lives would be like without smart phones, hospitals, medications, computers, restaurants, planes, chauffeured automobiles, furnaces and air conditioning. For starters. In fact, they should be forced to sell their homes, dispense with all their phones, appliances and computers and travel only by foot. (Oh, and they won’t be able to take advantage of that—or any-- microphone again, either.)
They like telling others how to live their lives—or lose them—so they should be amenable to their own advice. Right?
If not, perhaps they should be criminally prosecuted.

Putin Seeking Third Term

Russia’s Constitutional Court recently ruled it was legal to change the nation’s constitution in a manner that could allow President Vladimir Putin to remain in power until 2036. Not coincidentally, this came just a week or so after Putin himself mused about staying on for a third term, stating: “There are precedents for elections for more than two terms, including in the United States. When a country is going through such upheavals and such difficulties—in our case we have not yet overcome all the problems since the USSR, this is also clear—stability may be more important and must be given priority.”
A petition denouncing the act as “politically and ethically unacceptable” garnered over 18,000 signatures almost immediately, with those of many prominent scientists, journalists, and writers among them. The petition avers that “the threat of a deep constitutional crisis and an unlawful anti-constitutional coup…is hanging over the country.” Ironically, this is the reverse of what has recently taken place in the United States, where a deeply entrenched and shadowy cabal of career bureaucrats joined forces with the Democratic Party in an attempt to take down a duly elected president, in part because the party couldn’t accept that it was voted out of the White House.
It is nonetheless amusing to hear Putin cite the U.S.-- and Franklin Delano Roosevelt-- in support of his quest to retain power. Perhaps Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin wants to be re-branded as “VVP,” in the way that Roosevelt was commonly known as “FDR.” Maybe he will start brandishing lengthy cigarette holders and giving reassuring “fireside chats” to Russians: “All we have to fear are queers themselves!”

China Threatens To Withhold Coronavirus Drugs From America

In war, you never want to let the enemy cut your supply lines, as an army can’t fight without arms, food, fuel, medicine, and other necessities. Yet, in “peacetime,” the United States (and the West as a whole) has simply allowed a foreign power to become our supply source for critical parts, technologies and life-saving drugs. This is a potentially disastrous situation as recently evidenced by a threat China’s Communist Party made in regards to the coronavirus pandemic. Xinhua, the state-run media agency that is the voice of the party, published a piece in which Beijing bragged about its handling of COVID-19, a virus that originated in the city of Wuhan, and noted that China could restrict pharmaceutical exports thereby plunging America into “the mighty sea of coronavirus.” The Food and Drug Administration has already announced a shortage of an undisclosed coronavirus drug, due to the inability to access enough raw components from China.
What kind of a government would threaten to withhold the life-saving drugs its nation manufacturers during a world-wide pandemic? The kind that, even after the deaths of so many of its own citizens, would use the term, “the mighty sea of coronavirus” in a mocking manner. Sick doesn’t begin to describe it.
Though the U.S. is the clear global leader in medical research, it has effectively allowed the outsourcing of most critical pharmaceuticals to China. This would be as if the Allies allowed Germany to make their ships, planes, tanks and ammunition in World war II. We are dangerously, absurdly, reliant on the Communist government of China for vital goods. China currently supplies nearly 90 percent of the antibiotics the United States needs, roughly 70 percent of the acetaminophen, and a significant percentage of many other important drugs, as well.
Even as a new report surfaced, suggesting that the Chinese government knew about the existence of the coronavirus a month earlier than it has admitted, and chose to cover it up, it has arrogantly and preposterously attempted to portray itself as a global hero. Angered that the U.S. had the temerity to point out that the virus originated in China, it has demanded a thank you for containing it as long as it claims it did. An editorial in Xinhua stated, “We should say righteously that the U.S. owes China an apology, the world owes China a thank you.” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian went so far as to tweet: “It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make public your data! US owe us an explanation!” Well, that’s an interesting take, though Lijian failed to say how the Wuhan virus could be the work of the U.S. Army. Maybe China’s borders are more porous and undefended then we’ve been led to believe.
There are several key takeaways here. First off, that we can never let this happen again should be an existential lesson for the U.S. and the West, though it likely will go unheeded. (Progressives are far more worried about the possibility of deplorables avoiding Chinese restaurants. And far more angered by Trump and Republicans calling COVID19 the “Wuhan virus” and asserting that it is Chinese in origin, though it is, as was SARS.)
Secondly, progressives are wrong in thinking that we’re all just the same inside, or that the U.S. should model itself after Marxist, authoritarian governments. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Yet, Bernie Sanders recently lauded China, averring: “They have made more progress in addressing extreme poverty than any country in the history of civilization, so they’ve done a lot of things for their people.” The only positive thing they’ve done for their people is allowing them more economic freedom, even as they’ve abused and enslaved them in every other way. Historically, governments have differed in the amount of power they allocated to their citizens. The Founders designed the government of the United States in the reverse, delegating all but specifically enumerated powers to the people. That made all the difference. It is the United States that has alleviated more poverty, extreme or otherwise, than any country in the history of civilization.
Lastly, though leftists claim Trump is an authoritarian at heart, he is anything but, and the only one truly fighting for the U.S. and its people in matters such as this. He knows the leverage China has accrued over the nation he loves and is committed to reducing it.
Whenever any other nation is afflicted by tragedy, the United States is there to help out, physically and monetarily. Always. Historically, this is undeniable…and unprecedented.
China’s leaders can threaten to cast the U.S. into “the mighty sea of coronavirus,” but they should proceed with caution. For though they may sow the wind, they may reap the whirlwind.

Sanctuary Cities?

Sanctuary cities?
We need sanctuary cities for Christians. We need sanctuary cities for conservatives, for guns, for free speech rights, for plastic straws and forks, for traditional mores, for free market capitalism, for independent thinkers, for people who pay their own way, for those who like contact sports, for people who don’t wish to live in a drug culture surrounded by human fecal matter, for those who believe in no taxation without representation (i.e. draining ‘The Swamp’) and limited  government, for those who like to fish and hunt, for those who aren’t ashamed they like to eat meat, for those who recognize there are only two sexes, for those unafraid to say that a vagina is specially designed to accept a penis and an arsehole is not, for those who believe that hard work makes people luckier, and, most of all, for reason, logic and sanity.
I have a dream. I have a dream that one day, little conservative boys and conservative girls will be able to join hands with little liberal boys and liberal girls as sisters and brothers without the conservative boys and girls being chastised by academia, Hollywood and the mainstream media. I have a dream that one day, people wearing ‘MAGA’ hats will be able to safely walk down the street, proud and unafraid. Yes, I have a dream today! I have a dream that one day—one day my friends— saying ‘All lives matter’ won’t be considered racist. I have a dream that one day the youth of this nation will not feel the need to run for their ‘safe spaces’ if they hear something with which they disagree. I have a dream that one day groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center will be considered bigoted and intolerant whereas those such as the Tea Party will not be so considered.
So, let freedom ring from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, California!
Let freedom ring from every newsroom and boardroom! Let freedom ring from every college and university!
Let freedom ring from Hollywood to The Big Apple! From every hill and dale, let freedom ring!
And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"
Unfortunately, that dream is an illusion, unlikely in the extreme ever to be realized. Why? Because leftists won’t allow it. They have weaponized “tolerance” and used it against the rest of us with lethal effect.

Democrats Suggest Skipping Rest Of Debates Because "Biden's Won" Already

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), the House Majority Whip, recently stated, “I think it is time for us to shut this primary down, it is time for us to cancel the rest of these debates," referring to those upcoming  between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders. Clyburn purportedly wants to dispense with the continuation of the democratic process because he believes there is no conceivable way for Sanders to win the nomination. (Just a couple of weeks ago, most thought there was no path forward for Biden.) Clyburn, and some other Democrats, are concerned that if Biden and Sanders continue to oppose each other through the primaries that end in early June, it could benefit President trump. Clyburn noted, “People will say things that you can’t overcome,” meaning that Sanders could permanently scar Biden with an accusation, weakening him for his general election battle with Trump.
What Clyburn didn’t say, but is almost certainly more to the point, is that Biden’s handlers and Democratic party operatives are terrified that he will continue with his gaffe-fest, potentially damaging his own credibility. (Although, if he hasn’t done so by now, it may, incredibly, prove to be an impossible feat.) So, best to just forget the voters in all the other states that have yet to be afforded their opportunity to weigh in on the little matter of who will be their next president. Let’s wrap this thing up now and batten down the hatches!
This is like an NFL football team coming from behind to take the lead in the third quarter of a conference championship game and then having its coach say, “stop the game, it’s essentially over anyway. We need to get ready for the Super Bowl!”
Besides, it would be patently unfair to deprive Americans the joy of watching a crazy, arm-waving old commie spar with another octogenarian who is quite likely to forget the names of the debate’s moderators…and his opponent. Hell, before long, he might forget his own name. After all, he’s already claimed to be an “Obiden-Bama Democrat.”

Colleges Stressing Sustainability

“Sustainability” is a fast-growing branch of social-justice-warring on college campuses across the ever more fruited plain. The schools are teaching the students-- and the students are teaching the schools-- that we must dramatically lessen our greenhouse gas emissions lest the planet suddenly combust like a Molotov cocktail at an Antifa demonstration.
Parker Angelos, the head of Indiana University-Bloomington’s new sustainability department, is also urging his school’s students to be kind to the Earth, the Indiana Daily Student has reported. Mr. Angelos helpfully edified his fellow scholars, stating, “Living sustainably is one of the easiest things you can do.” He then told them: “Turn off your lights, unplug your electric devices, take shorter, cold showers.”
These bastions of higher education have inspired me. We can all do so much more. What if we just turned off our heat in the winter? Refused to turn on the air-conditioning this coming summer? These two simple gestures alone would have a second-level benefit, over and above reducing energy use. A large number of us would perish, greatly reducing our carbon footprint! Moreover, what if we got rid of our ovens and refrigerators? (And don’t cook things in a fire, either, as the smoke rises into the atmosphere, contributing to greenhouse gas buildup, too). After all, raw fruits and vegetables are the best things we can consume for our health…and the health of our mother the Earth. If we all go vegan, we won’t need to kill our fellow beings, nor cook them. We won’t need guns. We will only need communal vegetable gardens. And, we should give up toilets as well as showers, rendering other forms of fertilization unnecessary. We should all just poop on our communally mandated garden plots. Talk about a “twofer?!” This just keeps getting better and better.
What’s more, if we give up air-conditioning and showers in the summer months, and eschew toilets in favor of pooping on our garden plots, it is very unlikely we will find anyone willing to mate with us, which will help to alleviate the population crisis, further reducing greenhouse gas emissions going forward.
 Sustainability. Genius!

The Eleventh Democratic Debate

Eleventh Democratic Debate
A Studio In Washington, D.C. (No Audience)
March 15, 2020
8-10 PM ET
CNN, Univision
Moderators: Dana Bash, Jake Tapper, Ilia Calderón

Bash: Good evening and welcome to the eleventh Democratic debate for the 2020 presidential election cycle. The field has been narrowed to two candidates, former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. One note, due to concerns about the coronavirus, there is no live audience for tonight’s debate. With that said, let’s get started, shall we? Mr. Biden, speaking of the coronavirus, what would you have done differently than President Trump, so far, to counteract the deadly virus?

Biden: Well, Donna, I would’ve taken the cordovavirus very seriously. I would’ve made sure there were more than enough testing kits to go around from day one, and I would’ve banned all train travel to and from Indo-China well before President Bush did.”

Bash: But, after the president suspended entry visas for persons traveling from China over a month ago, you called it an act of (looks down at monitor) ‘hysteria, xenophobia and fearmongering.’

Biden: You’re a lying sack of sh*t!

Tapper: Well, um, okay, on to Sen. Sanders then. Sen. Sanders, same question.

Sanders: What the hell did my friend Joe just say? This is why he should not be the nominee! (waving arms) And it’s also why we need Medicare for All and a fully nationalized single-payer health plan! Look at how effective the Chinese were in containing the virus early on! I don’t know why people are so afraid of big government and a little authoritarianism! Makes the damn trains run on time! But not to ‘Indo-China’ from here! Hee, hee…

Biden: (Yells out) I think we should ban all travel. Period. To anywhere. Even within our own country. No planes, no buses, no trains, no automobiles!

Tapper: Mr. Biden, you’re out of order…and wouldn’t that be a bit extreme?

Biden: ‘Extremism in defense of health issues is no vice!’ Barry Manilow said something like that.

Tapper: No he didn’t. Neither did Barry Goldwater. Anyway, Mr. Biden, what do you have to say to those who have questioned your…shall we say stamina…and ability to perform your duties if and when you take office?

Biden: I know damn well what you meant by that, Greg! But a little verbal slip here and there is not a sign of cognitive dissonance! I’m just as sharp as I ever was, Chris, and you’d do well to remember that, bud!

Sanders: The next question better damn well go to me!

Calderón: Yes. Mr. Sanders, some have questioned how you would pay for all of the government programs and freebies you have proposed. What would you tell them now?

Sanders: Soak the rich! I call it the ‘Robin Hood Plan,’ Ilia. Or ‘dictatorship of the proletariat.’ By the way, your name, ‘Ilia,’ is Russian! Good name, comrade!

Calderón: Thank you, sir. But can you be a bit more specific? Details, numbers, anything?

Sanders: Of course. Specifically, we will tax the hell out of everyone making more many than I do! (waving arms around again now) And we will do it for four years…or eight years if I’m re-elected!

Biden: Can I just tell Colonel Sanders here that that ‘plan’ won’t work? I mean, that dog won’t hunt! C’mon, man! Also, I’d just like to say how much I enjoy being here in the Southwest. You know, it’s not just the blacks that have an affinity for me. I have a way with Indians, too. And, I’ve always loved New Mexico!—

Bash: Mr. Biden, this debate is being held in Washington, D.C. Not Arizona, as originally scheduled. Or New Mexico. You are in Washington, sir.

Biden: I knew that, Donna! The flight wasn’t long enough. Just seein’ if you were paying attention to good old Uncle Joe, and--

A Joe Biden Campaign Rally, March 2020

A Joe Biden Rally
Somewheresville, USA
March, 2020

Biden (beaming, looks out at the crowd and begins to shout):

“So we were dead, huh? Come on, man! They shoulda known. We’re better than that! (much cheering). They said the other guy was gonna win! But that was before…Alabama! (cheers) Arkansas! (cheers) Macedonia! (fewer cheers) North Kor-- er North Carolina! (cheers) Oklahoma! (cheers) Tennessee! (cheers) Texas! (cheers) Virginia! (cheers) Michigan! (cheers) And Mexico! (fewer cheers, some look around nervously) So, if you believe in the Declaration of Interdependence, say it with me now, ‘we believe these truths to be self-evident, that all men and women are created by the, you know…the thing. And that they are well endowed by their…you know…the thing…with certain unbreakable rights, that among these are strife, liberty and the pursuit of sloppiness.’ I say to you today, come with me and we will go forward…all the way to Washington, A.C.D.C.! I served with Barack Obama, the greatest president in the history of this republican democratic. I served as his vice president. He told me I was the best one ever. Ever. I can’t wait until I myself am sworn in as the leader of the free world. I can’t wait to take the oath of office and utter those famous words: ‘I do solemnly curse that I will faithfully execrate the office of Senator of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, deserve, project and defund the Constitution of the United States.’ But first, we got some work to do. But I have to say, I’m lookin’ forward to Milwaukee come this July! (cheering) I’m gonna get up on that stage in Brewtown and look at Elizabeth Warren and say, ‘Lizzie, wanna get me a beer?!’ (laughing and cheering) Seriously, I love West Virginia…Mountain Mama! Love those Badgers! And we are gonna carry West Virginia! (confusion, some polite cheering) With your help, we will beat back those Bernie Brothers, kick Trump in the berries…and retake the White House!! (loud cheering) You know, I’m a big fan of women in politics. (cheering) I still think women will have something to say about the upcoming erectio—election. (cheering) Maybe I should name my wife as vice president, huh, how would that be? (grabs his sister standing next to him at the podium and gives her a big smooch on the lips; his wife on the other side of the podium recoils, but recovers quickly and says, ‘yoohoo, big boy, I’m over here.’ Biden blushes uncomfortably but says, ‘you guys switched up on me again’) Well, we’ll just have to see how it plays out, won’t we? Well, thank you all, and, as Sherman Potter said during the Civil War, ‘On to Georgia!’”

Student Upset White People Using Multicultural Center

A video from the University of Virginia’s brand-new Multicultural Student Center recently appeared on Twitter. The footage was originally put up by one of the school’s students who subsequently deleted the post, but not before the Young America’s Foundation captured and re-posted it. Since that time, it has accrued nearly 3 million views. What is so captivating about a video shot at a Multicultural Center? It shows an unidentified woman loudly lecturing an audience of students. She bellows: “Public service announcement, if y’all didn’t know, this is the MSC, and, frankly, there’s just too many white people in here. And, this is a space for people of color, so, just be really cognizant of the space that you’re taking up because it does make some of us POCs uncomfortable when we see too many white people in here.” She added, “There’s a whole university for a lot of y’all to be at, and there’s very few spaces for us, so keep that in mind.” Sadly, her rant was met with vociferous applause from her fellow students, many of whom she had just warned away.
Screw character, skin color is all that matters. What would MLK say? The leftist led balkanization of the United States continues at an ever-accelerating pace. Her instructions are being carried out on a “macro” scale around the country. Multiculturalism has morphed into a reverse racism and is tearing the nation apart. Straight white males, Christians and conservatives are being routinely—summarily—marginalized. Saying that there are “just too many white people” in a multicultural center would be funny if not so sad. People of color (and other “minorities”) are at least as welcome as anybody else around the entire Virginia campus, as they are on virtually every campus across the fruited plain. In fact, in some cases, literally more so-- as evidenced by racial and diversity quotas, etc. In every aspect of American life, old white men, “the patriarchy,” the Founders, traditional values-- and “whiteness” itself—are being denigrated. If “POCs” are uncomfortable around non-POCs, and vice-versa, if we recede into self-segregation, this house divided will not stand.
Thought we had that one figured out around 155 years ago.

No Sh*t?

No shit? I wish that were the case. But, in cities such as London and San Francisco, human fecal matter is piling up in many areas. This gives “No Dumping” signs a whole new meaning. And, official notices of this type are appearing with ever greater frequency in many formerly great cities now ruled by progressives and occupied by illegal immigrants and the homeless.
Cities ruled by liberal Democrats for decades have become literal shit-holes due to their own policies. Therefore, signs such as this are now necessary:

                And of this type:

And then there is the much needed and very helpful San Francisco street poop map:

This map shows most of the city covered by brown pin dots, each one marking a report of dung to the Department of Public works. The website RealtyHop.com dubs San Francisco “the doo-doo capital of the U.S.” They noted that the city’s poop reports almost tripled between 2011 and 2017. The majority of homeless people in the United States now reside in California.
Apparently, it’s not enough that Democrats and “progressives” themselves are full of crap, now the cities they run are full of it, too. Planning a trip to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Baltimore, London? Watch your step.
