BLM Blasts U.S., Praises Cuban Communist Government

 

Black Lives Matter recently posted a statement blasting the U.S. embargo of Cuba and praising Cuba’s government. The statement read: "The people of Cuba are being punished by the U.S. government because the country has maintained its commitment to sovereignty and self-determination. United States leaders have tried to crush this Revolution for decades." This statement would be correct… if it wasn’t entirely wrong. The people of Cuba are being punished by the communist regime ruling them. That regime has maintained its commitment to preventing its citizens from enjoying sovereignty and self-determination. Moreover, Leftists like BLM don’t want the government of the United States to maintain sovereignty and self-determination, always preferring it defer to the United Nations/International Court of Justice and other world bodies—and hoping for a one-world government in the not-so-distant future.

Somehow, Black Lives Matter, a group which has spent more than a year protesting “racism” in the streets of America, fails to recognize that the throngs of protesters that recently took to the streets of Cuban cities rallying for freedom and liberty are the Revolution.

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Cori Bush of Missouri have been vocal BLM supporters in the past but have yet to weigh in on Black Lives Matter declaring its unwavering love and support for Cuba's communist regime. (Cori Anika “Antifa” Bush was a BLM activist before joining Congress on January 3^rd, 2021.)

It is ironic and illustrative that BLM chooses to praise a government that is failing and oppressing—and essentially making slaves of-- mostly Black people and peoples of color. Sadly, however, it is not surprising in the context of today’s world. (Will Antifa soon release a statement lauding Fascism and/or the Third Reich. In truth, this would be much less ironic and hypocritical, as Antifa’s demeanor, tactics and goals closely align with that of past fascist movements.)    

 

Crime And Punishment

 

“Crime and Punishment” is a great book, but Dostoevsky’s classic is no match for today’s updated Democrat version, effectively titled, “Crime Is In The Eye Of The Beholder And It Is Really The Fault Of Society At Large And White People In Specific.”

 Democrats definitely do believe that there is such a thing as crime, but their definition of crime is distinctly different from traditional notions regarding same. Ergo, here is a primer on Crime 2.0, compliments of today’s new Democrats:

*Crime: denying the existence of man-caused climate change.

*Not a crime: denying the existence of truth, morality, a higher power, or anything else that could in any way constrain one’s behavior…or limit elite Democrats’ power.

*Crime: marginalizing and shaming a drug-addled homeless person by encouraging them to get sober and get a job.

*Not a crime: stealing a $900 big screen television from a Target store in San Francisco.

*Crime: selling cigarettes to an underaged person.

*Not a crime: encouraging an underaged person to get an abortion or “change their sex” by way of hormone treatments and/or body mutilation.

*Crime: walking unarmed thru the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., after Capitol police officers opened the door(s) for you.

*Not a crime: burning down and/or looting numerous businesses in any large city in America.

*Crime: “misgendering” someone.

*Not a crime: being a man and claiming you’re a woman so you can “hang out” 😉 in what were formerly girls’ locker rooms, bathrooms and spas.

*Crime: publicly disagreeing with the Biden administration and/or other “progressives,” be it on social media or elsewhere.

*Not a crime: propagating and disseminating bold-faced lies about the Trump administration and conservatives, be it on social media or elsewhere.

*Crime: refusing to bake a cake for a gay, transgender wedding.

*Not a crime: taking the nascent life of your own baby in your womb.

*Crime: trafficking in “misinformation” about the coronavirus or questioning the effectiveness of vaccines.

*Not a crime: encouraging hundreds of thousands of immigrants to cross our southern border untested for the coronavirus and proceeding to fly them around the country at taxpayers’ expense.

*Crime: any dealing any Trump family member or associate had with any business, personal, or national entity in the past 20 years, regardless of intent.

*Not a crime: any act, no matter how illegal, violent, unethical, vile, or lewd, that is committed by a Democrat or associate, past or present, regardless of maliciousness or malevolence.

*Crime: not being sufficiently enthusiastic when a left-leaning person tells you “their truth.”

*Not a crime: slandering and libeling a traditional/conservative person, labeling them Nazis, hate-mongers, or bigots and repeatedly saying their actions are “worse than 9/11” or “worse than the Civil War.”

 

Too many Republicans go along to get along. Too many conservatives lack the will to fight. So much so that one day soon we will find there is nothing left to conserve. Each of us as individuals must vow to never give in again, never cede a point or an argument, where a matter of political principle is involved. Be polite. Charming even. But don’t back down. No matter where we are or with whom we are conversing, it is our time to be PROUD! (After all, everyone else is.)

We are most of the way down a very slippery slope. It is time to start climbing back up the hill.

Why Are Intellectuals So Unwise

 

One of the most perplexing—and sneakily vital—questions of our time is: Why are so many so-called “intellectuals” so astoundingly ignorant and unwise? This is a question that must be honestly addressed if the West has any chance of pulling out of the downward spiral in which it now finds itself.

This is the case because, since these pseudo-intellectuals tend to be impressed with themselves and believe they know best how to run everybody else’s lives, they have a strong proclivity towards tyranny. Many disdain patriotism, believing that an enlightened mind should endlessly search for the good in societies other than their own. Many like to appear smart and as if they care about the “big picture” (globalism, etc.), but really don’t give a rat’s ass about anything outside of their own insular, safe, homogenous communities. And their own station and power. If virtue-signaling was an Olympic sport, wealthy progressive Americans would own the medal count in perpetuity. Nearly all of those the media brands as “intellectuals” or “experts” are leftists, and the vast majority favor big government and lean towards socialism or even Marxism. The notion that economies—or anything else-- could work better without their active intervention and planning is anathema to them.

Many intellectuals have spent nearly all their lives in the ivory towers of academia and are almost completely devoid of real-world experience…and therefore common sense. A keen observer once noted that an intellectual is someone who so prefers theory over experience that he would sit down on a red-hot stove, twice.

The many decades of radical indoctrination at America’s colleges and universities, with radical leftists “teaching” their progressive-leaning students, has led to a near total lack of diversity of thought, opinion, and independence amongst the elites that eventually matriculate from these citadels of higher education into corporate boardrooms, mainstream media outlets, and government offices. Those that don’t themselves become “educators” that is.

Tragically, this has produced an inbred mindset just as damaged and deformed as is often the case with the physical result of incest. The same elites that are so focused on the benefits of diversity of gender and kink, so PROUD! of every “alternative lifestyle,” and so welcoming and tolerant of other culture’s traditions, quirks and nuances, from paganism to female genital mutilation, lack the courage to challenge—or even discuss-- the Orwellian groupthink that has overtaken them. Virtually none of them would risk being seen as “different” in this regard, as there are too many repercussions to come out of this closet.

“Thanks” to our “intellectuals,” we are reaching Orwellian levels of groupthink and newspeak. We are heading into Third Reich, Soviet Union, North Korea, and People’s Republic of ____________________ (fill in the blank) territory.

Charles Bukowski once stated, “The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts while the stupid ones are full of confidence.” I would suggest that the truly intelligent people realize how little they know, unlike “the intelligentsia,” while the stupid ones are often arrogant. In fact, there is an almost perfectly inverse relationship between how smart one believes oneself to be and the non-trivial knowledge or wisdom one possesses.

William Butler Yeats once stated what amounts to a corollary to Bukowski’s assertion: “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.” (See also RINOs versus AOC, Ilhan Omar, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, et. al.)

That seems to me to be the most accurate way to explain what has recently transpired in the United States…and several other Western nations.

Too many of our so-called intellectuals are full of passionate intensity. And too many of our so-called Republicans or conservatives appear—when push comes to shove—to lack all conviction.

 

 

 

Bioethicist Warns Us Not To "Gender" Animals

 

Florence Ashley, a Canadian bioethicist, recently took to Twitter to chastise people for “gendering animals.” Ashley opined that “Gendering animals serves to normalize bio-essentialist conceptions of gender.” Ashley added, "When we gender animals, we forget that sex is assigned. We begin to believe that sex is literally ~in~ the body.” So, “gendering” animals is bad? Not just “misgendering” them? Note to Florence: Sex is—literally—in the body. If it wasn’t, none of us would be here. (Not that that would be considered a bad thing by many progressive wackos and “bioethicists.”)

For those unfamiliar with the concept, bio-essentialism is the belief that biology determines specific attributes and traits, including those related to gender identity. Or, as defined by Oxford Reference: “The belief that ‘human nature’, an individual's personality, or some specific quality (such as intelligence, creativity, homosexuality, masculinity, femininity, or a male propensity to aggression) is an innate and natural ‘essence’ (rather than a product of circumstances, upbringing, and culture). The concept is typically invoked where there is a focus on difference, as where females are seen as essentially different from males…” In other words, an obvious truth. Despite what anti-science types such as transgender activists and Democratic politicians wish you to believe.

Anyone who has had more than one child or who has picked a puppy from a litter knows that they have distinct individual traits and personalities right out of the chute, so to speak. To deny that is to deny reality, thereby rendering one’s judgement on all other matters suspect at best.

If anything is demonstrably real or true, bio-essentialism is. No one who is serious about science and/or possesses an IQ greater than that of a paramecium can honestly doubt this. As regards gender, biology determines if a person is born a boy with a penis or a girl with a vagina…and those traits determine if/how reproduction takes place.

If we can’t gender any living things, we can’t categorize them in any other way, either. This would not have been a good thing for increasing our understanding of the world. Medical professionals don’t assign gender/sex at birth. And, if biology doesn’t either, than how is this determined? Who or what put the parts there? God? The gender fairy? One can say there is no such thing as gender, much as one can say there are no such things as biology, fact or truth. (But, if there is no gender/sex, then there can be no real misogyny either.) Just because we refuse to acknowledge something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Much like the mental illness tragically afflicting the vast majority of the hyper-woke.

CNN recently ran a commercial proclaiming that just because someone calls an apple a banana, it doesn’t make it so. Let’s apply that concept to this subject. Just because someone calls a boy a girl doesn’t make him one. And vice-versa. Yet, CNN routinely calls truth fiction and fiction truth. And that, too, is nuts.

In conclusion, a clinical observation: why are so many with “ethicist” in their job/vocation title apparently utterly amoral?

Pregnant Man Emoji Coming Soon?

 

If there is one thing on which we can all agree, surely it’s that there aren’t nearly enough emojis to choose from when texting, emailing and otherwise communicating on our electronic devices ☹. Who hasn’t scrolled through the staggering number of faces, shapes, animal figures, food items, vehicles, sports accoutrement, hearts, religious symbols, flags, and assorted other gewgaws and doodads and thought to themselves, “damn, I can’t find exactly what I need just now?”

Thankfully, new emojis are added every year 😊. Finalists for this year’s crop include the “Pregnant Person” and “Pregnant Man” emojis (at least one of whom sports a mustache), according to Emojipedia. Emojipedia’s blog noted that these candidates would compliment the existing (if unexciting) “Pregnant Woman” emoji and would "recognize that pregnancy is possible for some transgender men and non-binary people.”

There are other candidates, of course, including “Person with Crown,” a gender-inclusive alternative to the stodgy old existing “Princess” and “Prince” emojis. “Melting Face,” a yellow smiley face pooling in mid-melt, came in first in a fan-voted poll of this year’s most anticipated potential emojis, conducted prior to July 17^th, World Emoji Day, garnering 13.7 percent of the vote. “Pregnant Man” came in a respectable sixth, capturing 5.3 percent of the vote. (“Melting Face” can represent extreme heat or be used metaphorically to imply embarrassment, shame, or a slowly sinking feeling of dread.)

Emojis have become increasingly inclusive over the years. Several years ago, a “Breastfeeding Woman” was added, the head of the baby hidden to avoid the potentially controversial situation of having the skin tone of the baby necessarily correlate to the skin tone of the mother/woman.

The list of potential emojis is not yet final. The Unicode Consortium, a nonprofit organization that oversees emoji standards across all devices, will approve new additions on September 14th. Each emoji is subject to change prior to that date. Rollout of the exciting new symbols will occur in the weeks and months thereafter.

The “Pregnant Man” emoji is a step in the right direction, but much more needs to be done. If we really wish to be inclusive, we need to introduce “Woman with Penis,” “Republican with Balls,” and “Pig with Wings” emojis. Right? 😉    

  

 

Cleveland Guardians...Of The Woke Sports World

 

Major League baseball’s Cleveland Indians will be changing their name to the Cleveland Guardians beginning with the 2022 season, the organization announced on July 23^rd.  I am neither shocked nor saddened. This is something I saw coming years ago.           

The Guardians are by no means the first organization to abandon a potentially offensive name. The Washington Redskins of the NFL recently became the “Washington Football Team.” The university of North Dakota’s sports teams, formerly known as the Fighting Sioux, are now named the “Fighting Hawks.”

But we all know much more has to be done. Far too many squads still sport potentially hurtful names. To wit, by league:

Major League Baseball

*Atlanta Braves…A little different take on this one. I would’ve thought such overt sexism would be extinct by now. What about the squaws young Native American women? How must they feel at the use of this exclusionary nomenclature?

*Chicago Cubs…of course, it’s all about the youth culture. Talk about ageism. “Cubbies?” Yeesh.

*Chicago White Sox…a little too Caucasian and pure for my liking.

*Kansas City Royals…well, la-di-da, isn’t this high-brow salute to monarchy a kick in the pants to regular folks. Talk about your “one-percenters.” This name must be dropped now.

*Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim)…typical Orange County Republicanism. Mixing religion and sports is not what our founders intended. Also, do fans really want to believe in something that can’t be seen or scientifically proven. (Other than man-caused global warming, of course.)

*Milwaukee Brewers…why not Vintners then? Or Distillers? And really, nice to advertise booze across the land, anyway! Was “Crystal -Meth Makers” taken? Perhaps the Milwaukee “Recovering Alcoholics” would be a better fit for our times.

*Minnesota Twins…there are no set family norms anymore. One-- or three—kid(s) are okay, as well. In fact, childlessness is a great option, too!

*New York Yankees… Really? White, wealthy types that worship business. Those “Damn Yankees?”  And with all of the historical connotations? I suppose they wouldn’t just like to play Atlanta in the World Series, but burn it to the ground afterwards, too?! And, speaking of which…

*San Diego Padres…another case of overt religious favoritism and insensitivity. San Diego “Imams” was out of the question, I suppose? And, failing that, could the team not have been called the Madres?

*San Francisco Giants…I frankly would’ve expected better from San Francisco. What about the little guy? What about the vertically challenged? Insensitive and heartless.

*Toronto Blue Jays…what about the gray jays, brown jays and green jays? Or even the Steller’s jay or the Pinyon jay? How are they supposed to feel? Leave others out much? Criminy!

*Washington Nationals…I can almost hear the militaristic, xenophobic martial music now! Jingoistic clap-trap from overly patriotic right-wingers to be sure.

*Minnesota Vikings… white, Aryan, aggressive, macho, plundering types. Combines toxic masculinity with white supremacy. I feel faint. This name must go ASAP!

*New England Patriots…how do you think this makes all the people historically and systemically oppressed by America feel? “Patriot” is just a euphemism for “radical right-wing domestic terrorist.”

*San Diego Chargers…this is marginalizing, exclusionary—and very hurtful-- to all those who still pay with cash or check.

*Tennessee Titans…holy cow. Not much love for the underclass and less than mighty here.

*Atlanta Hawks… Too warlike. “Doves” would’ve been much more appropriate in our modern era.

*Detroit Pistons…in this era of global warming… an ode to the internal combustion engine? Wouldn’t “Solar Heating Panels” or “Wind Turbines” be a better name?

*Miami Heat…okay, but would not the Miami “Global Warming” have been more accurate?

Creationism Is White Supremacy?

 

Allison Hopper, in an op-ed somehow published in Scientific American, declared that “denial of evolution” is a form of “white supremacy,” and perpetuates violence against Black people. (In reality, it is Black people who perpetuate violence against Black people, not a denial of evolution. That is simply a statistical fact.) Hopper’s bio states that she is a “filmmaker and designer.” There’s a shock! Imagine that! A self-professed artist (“artiste?”) who is projecting her privilege onto others!

Hopper opined: “I want to unmask the lie that evolution denial is about religion and recognize that at its core, it is a form of white supremacy that perpetuates segregation and violence against Black bodies. Under the guise of ‘religious freedom,’ the legalistic wing of creationists loudly insists that their point of view deserves equal time in the classroom. Science education in the U.S. is constantly on the defensive against antievolution activists who want biblical stories to be taught as fact. He added that, for many decades, “entrenched racism and the ban on teaching evolution in the schools have gone hand in hand.” This raises the question, “WTH?”

If literally everything is proof of white supremacy, nothing is. If there is a “legalistic wing of creationists” loudly insisting that their point of view be given equal time in the classroom, they are doing a piss poor job. “Science education” in the U.S. is continually on the offensive against Christians and anyone else who dares to question the “experts” that purport to represent the “scientific consensus.” Remember, “the science is settled…” because we said so.

Truth be told, and that is not often these days, conservatives and traditionalists are on the defensive—in the classroom and everywhere else. “Critical race theory,” the transgender rights movement, socialist dogma, and anti-Americanism in general, have largely pushed conservative thought and Christian sentiment out of the classroom…and off campus.

So, how did we get here? Let’s start from the beginning. Evolutionists believe that first there was a sort of “primordial soup,” sometime after which there was a lightning strike and—poof—life was created and walked out of the soup, waiting for evolution to perfect it. Or at least lead to homo sapiens living in urban areas and playing “Grand Theft Auto” for seven hours every day. But, if evolution determines everything, then it must have led to white supremacy, as well. Tough realization, though “scientific,” right?

On the other hand, creationists look towards Genesis for our genesis. Genesis states:

So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them. (But definitely not Black!)

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (“Including any negroes or particularly tan people.”) 

Alright, I admit it, I added the italicized words in parentheses to the actual scripture shown above. But creationism still perpetuates violence against peoples of color, does it not?  Denial of evolution is another name for white supremacy, is it not? Deniers are bad! Who would deny that?

Homeowner: That won’t be necessary, thank you. I’ve actually had the coronavirus, and I have antibodies. Plus, I’ve heard that the vaccines can be, how would you put it, “problematic” for some people, especially those who have already had the virus. And how did you know I hadn’t yet been vaccinated?

BAR: We have been going through your text messages and noticed that you recently told your mother that you didn’t think you needed to get vaccinated. But now I’m afraid we have to cite you for trafficking in harmful misinformation.

Homeowner: What?

OBAR: Yes, you just stated that vaccines may not be beneficial to everybody, especially those who have already had COVID-19. This is unacceptable.

Homeowner: Unacceptable?!

BAR: Yes. Sorry.

Homeowner: Meaning?

OBAR: You’ll have to come with us.

Homeowner: What?! Hell, no!

BAR: There is a way around that.

Homeowner: What would I have to do?

OBAR: Renounce the Republican Party, Capitalism and Christianity. 

BAR: And sign an agreement to vote for the Democratic candidates in all upcoming elections.

OBAR: Oh, and promise to use the preferred pronouns of any transgender person you ever encounter for the rest of your life. And to donate 5% of your income to LGBTQ-endorsed causes and charities.

BAR: And watch “The View” every morning and “Don Lemon Tonight” every evening!

Shark Attacks Now "Interactions"

 

Australian shark enthusiasts are urging people to stop using the term "attack" when referring to shark attacks bites, suggesting that the term “interactions” be used instead.

University of Sydney language researcher Christopher Pepin-Neff recently told the Sydney Morning Herald that most shark bites are nothing more than “nips,” and that the "choice of words can be potent since public fears about beach safety can be inflamed by alarmist language by politicians and the media." Pepin-Neff flatly added that the term “’Shark attack’ is a lie.” Really? One may be “nipped” by a Black Lab, but by a Great White?

The shark zealots claim that the media has “warped the reputation” of sharks by considering them to be cold-blooded killers. The vast majority of sharks are cold-blooded and do, in fact, kill-- humans and various other species—so this is that rarest of occasions when the media actually has something right. But, no matter, this is in keeping with the general progressive trend of demanding that we specifically call things what they aren’t. Transgender “women,” “mostly peaceful protesters,” “women’s health care,” “the People’s Republic,” the “For the People Act,” etc., etc.

A Marine Conservation Society shark researcher said that the term “attack” should be dropped in favor of a more neutral and palatable phrase to "dispel inherent assumptions that sharks are ravenous, mindless, man-eating monsters." When they are, in fact, diet conscious, brilliant, vegan ambassadors of the sea.

Macquarie University associate professor Nathan Hart says that sharks are mainly just curious about humans. Quite. In the way that Michael Moore is “curious about” donuts.  Hart adds that “Sharks don’t have hands, so if they want to explore something, they mouth it.” Yes, in the manner of Hunter Biden “exploring” a crack pipe.

Even Australian government agencies have begun substituting “encounters” or “incidents” for “shark attacks.” Forget Jaws. Think Close Encounters of the Blurred Kind.

(If leftists have their way, we will soon be referring to the “interaction” at Pearl Harbor and the “incident” on 9/11. What we may actually need is an “intervention,” maybe even the Big One. The way things are going, it may take the rapture to save us now.)

The long-term average number of shark attacks interactions globally is 82 per year. There were reportedly 13 verified shark-related human deaths globally in 2020. Oops, sorry, I meant (fatal) “encounters.”

So, “Good on ya’” shark apologists. You’ve made things perfectly clear queer. Too bad human limbs aren’t as easily replaced as shark’s teeth. Or terms that progressives don’t like.

 

 

Abortion Clinics Should Use Gender-Neutral Language Non-Binary Transgender Says

 

Women’s Health magazine recently posted a piece by Nick Lloyd (as told to Kristin Canning, the magazine’s features director), a non-binary transgender person who believes abortion clinics should use gender-neutral language in all their communication. Lloyd, who has previously had an abortion, was upset that the experience was too “gendered.”

Lloyd averred, "Trans and non-binary people get pregnant and have abortions—and that doesn't invalidate their gender. And they're deserving of care that affirms their gender.” It should be noted that abortion does, however, invalidate their babies, who might be deserving of care that affirms their…existence.

Lloyd noted, "I didn't feel ashamed about having an abortion. It was an easy decision for me. But, as a non-binary, transgender person, my abortion experience led to a lot of gender dysphoria. Every clinic had the word women’s in the name, all the pamphlets used gendered language and featured images of gender-conforming people, and clinicians were kind but didn't understand trans and non-binary experiences. It felt dehumanizing. I had to emotionally disconnect from the experience entirely because of how gendered it was.” Well, it was certainly, literally, dehumanizing for the baby. It is preposterously, monstrously self-centered for anyone to say she he they had to disconnect from their abortion experience because it was too gendered, but not because they were extinguishing the life inside of them.

Lloyd added, "There is so much clinics can do to become more inclusive of all genders. They could also take a look at the clinic decor and make sure that feels inclusive as well.” (But not inclusive of the baby, I’m guessing.)

It is simply insane to say that men—or “all genders”-- can have abortions.

The Left already employs morality-neutral language. Speaking of gender-neutral language-- and considering how upset Lloyd is at the gendered, non-inclusive term “women’s” being used-- it is amazingly ironic that Lloyd’s piece appeared in…Women’s Health.

 

Transgender "Rights" Taking Priority Over Sanity

 

The Los Angeles Times editorial board recently printed an op-ed in which they noted that “The rights of transgender people to act in accordance with their gender identity is fortunately gaining acceptance in many corners — including at the U.S. Supreme Court, which just last week handed a major victory to transgender students seeking to use the school bathrooms of their choice.” Fortunately, indeed. Everyone should have the right to use the bathroom of their choice. A 250-lb. bearded man who plays varsity football and sports a penis and a scrotum who says he is a female has the God-given right, granted by his Creator, to share bathrooms and locker rooms with budding young teenage girls, right?

Right, according to the L.A. Times editorial board. In fairness, the Times op-ed did admit that “the fracas over a transgender woman using the clothing-optional women’s area of a Koreatown spa is more complicated than it might seem,” in reference to the recent appearance of a naked transgender “woman” with male genitalia in the women’s area of the nearby Wi Spa. Actually, this is not complicated at all: the “transgender woman” should never have been allowed into that area…period. Placating one man who thinks he is a woman at the expense of making countless real women uncomfortable is not a rational approach to the issue.

The Times magnanimously admitted that “everyone who feels uncomfortable in such scenarios” is not necessarily “a bigot.” What insight! What tolerance! What empathy! They gave the example of “women who have been through personal experiences such as sexual assault who might find such a situation intimidating,” and also allowed that “It could go against the convictions and traditions of observant Muslims and Jews, who have a conservative or orthodox interpretation of gender norms and might themselves feel marginalized for their traditionalist beliefs.” You think?

Yet the Times would-be opinion shapers went on to aver that “it is clear where the rights in this matter land. Everyone — transgender customers, members of every faith and women who are upset by the sight of penises — has the right to use the spa and other public accommodations.”

Catch that? The editorial board of the preeminent newspaper in the second largest city in the United States just said that women who are upset by the sight of other women’s penises should just suck it up…their feelings that is. This is the mother of all oxymorons, one that could only be uttered by morons.

Not content to leave bad enough alone, the board added, “no one has an absolute right to feel comfortable all the time. People have a right to use the spa, but that doesn’t include with it a guarantee that they all will feel at ease with everything they see. Anti-discrimination laws stand for the principle that all are welcome, whether we are comfortable or not.” Surely the same tolerance then applies to students on college campuses. There is no need for “safe spaces” if no one has an absolute right to feel comfortable all the time. All should be welcome on campus, conservatives included, no?

The op-ed noted that “This doesn’t solve the issue of where offended people go if they want a group experience in keeping with their religious traditions.” One might suggest a church, but so many Christian churches in the West have been victimized by arson in recent years it may be difficult for a person to find one still intact.

One might attend church to seek the truth, which is probably why so many are being looted and destroyed. The left detests the truth. And one can see why. I may wish to be a woman or identify as an astronaut/goat/the Eiffel Tower, but that doesn’t mean I am any of those things.

 

Navy Secretary At Sea In Terms Of Priorities

 

Acting Secretary of the U.S. Navy Thomas Harker recently stated that the navy’s priorities will be to prevent sexual assault and to encourage sailors to seek mental health care, particularly in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Harker actually recorded a video message to the fleet in which he admitted he himself has sought counseling on several occasions. No surprise there. Too bad it’s apparently not helping.

The navy—and other branches of the military wouldn’t have to worry as much about sexual assault…or mental health counseling, for that matter…if it hadn’t allowed women to serve alongside men in close quarters and even in combat situations. And, is the stress from possibly contracting the coronavirus, which has a nearly 100% survival rate for healthy young people, worse than that of battling the enemy in combat?

Tragically, the cultural rot infecting nearly all other American institutions, and rot it is, is now attacking the United States military. The demented progressives now in charge of much of the nation’s government and military-industrial complex are far more interested in using the military as a sort of social-engineering petri dish than as the sword and shield protecting the country that it was supposed to be. Speaking of mental illness, it is bat-guano crazy to do this, especially at a time when our armed forces should be laser-focused on deterring China, Russia, Iran, and other current and potential adversaries.

Yet, if the ever elusive—and to hear the mainstream media talk, ever present and ever growing—ranks of white supremacists should take to the oceans, you can bet the Biden administration would immediately propose tripling the number of ships in the fleet.

Harker is at sea, though not in the literal sense of the term. As are so many others currently ensconced in the upper echelon of American government.

This is a Dunkirk moment for America, albeit one of our own making. If we don’t dispense with frivolous trivialities and outright hoaxes such as the 1619 Project, critical race theory, the exponential expansion of genders, wokeness, and assorted other politically correct inanities, and start seriously addressing the all-too-real threats posed by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, for example, we will have missed the proverbial boat.

 And missing that vessel could turn out to be fatal to the Republic…for which Harker and his government comrades supposedly stand.

 

 

 

The NFL Launches New "Football Is Gay" Ad

 

The National Football League (NFL) recently joined every other American institution in lauding-- and marketing to—the LGBTQ Community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that “football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting.”

The ad begins by stating “football is gay” to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I’m not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.)  

The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raider’s defensive end Carl Nassib’s recent announcement that he was gay, a league spokesperson said. It is titled, “Football is for everyone,” and is intended to “send a strong message of acceptance from the league to fans and players,” reports Outsports. What will the league look like a few years from now?

The oh-so-woke commercial states: "Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life. Football is exciting. Football is culture. Football is transgender. Football is queer. Football is heart. Football is power. Football is tough. Football is bisexual. Football is strong. Football is freedom. Football is American. Football is accepting. Football is everything. Football is for everyone.” (You can, of course, substitute “the NFL” for “football.”)

 “Football” is pandering. Football is pathetic. Football will say or do anything to chase down the very last potential viewer/customer. I’m surprised the ad didn’t also state, “Football is Chinese.” (Maybe the NBA had already patented the last two words of that phrase.)

This ad is disturbingly mindful of parents raising their baby’s arms over their heads and cloyingly saying, “Who’s big? Billy is! Sooo big!”

`“Who’s gay? The NFL! Sooo gay! Who’s queer? The NFL! Sooo queer! Who’s two-spirited? The NFL! Sooo Two-Spirited! Who’s pro-pangender? The NFL! Sooo pro pangender! Who’s Muslim? The NFL! Sooo Muslim! Etc., etc., etc.

The NFL should be subject to penalties for the sickening ad. It could be called for a false start for an embarrassing attempt to make further inroads into the LGBTQ community. It could be called for offsides, as it clearly went where it should not have gone. It could similarly be cited for encroachment. And it definitely should have been flagged for a “personal foul…roughing the viewer.”

Normally, I’d “Be ready for some football!” Now, however, I can never take the NFL seriously again.

And, after this, members of the LGBTQ community shouldn’t, either. 

 

 

CNN Medical Analysts Call For Mandatory Vaccinations

 

CNN further solidified its relationship with needle Nazis recently, with several “medical analysts” calling for mandatory coronavirus vaccinations.

CNN’s own medical analyst, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, told host Erin Burnett, “I do think it's time to  start mandating vaccines. And I think that private industry and private organizations will do that." Reiner added, "75 million adults have chosen to not get vaccinated and that choice has consequences. Now, we can't force you to take a jab in the arm but there are many jobs perhaps that can prevent you from working if you decide not to get vaccinated.”  (“Arbeit macht frei”……unless you are unvaccinated?)

Leana Wen, the former president of Planned Parenthood, also recently appeared on the flagging network to say that unvaccinated Americans should be subjected to more draconian restrictions. Wen is on the record as stating that businesses should only be allowed to return to full capacity if "they are checking for proof of vaccination.” Except in the case of illegal aliens undocumented workers, I’m sure. Does she think that businesses should be forced to check for proof that their employees and customers are AIDS-free, as well? And that they have had their measles shots, “regular” flu vaccines, etc.? If not, why? (If not Wen, does WHO?)

During her CNN appearance, Wen bemoaned the fact that “It’s easy if you’re unvaccinated, you can do everything you want to do anyway.” She recently wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she said that President Biden should have instituted a national vaccine mandate and chided him for failing to use the White House Independence Day event to tell folks that choosing whether or not to get vaccinated is not an “individual decision.” That’s interesting. So, Wen believes that what happens to your body is not up to you, but is really the government’s bailiwick? Goodbye, America. Hello Chinese Communist Party style totalitarianism. This is particularly preposterous coming from the erstwhile head of an organization that strongly supported the mantras “my body, my choice” and “keep the government out of our bedrooms.”

Wen opined that, if people wanted to opt out of the vaccinations, they should be forced to “sign these forms” and get “twice weekly testing.”

“It needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated,” she stated.

Since when is it the American government’s job to selectively make life harder for some of its citizens? Who decided the whole “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” thing was a relic of the white male patriarchy that should be expunged with all due haste? Why, Wen, should we appropriate the unrepresentative forms of government that so many other nations have used to brutalize their peoples throughout history?

(When I was younger, my parents used to take me to a theme park where hens, ducks, and gerbils were kept in glass-enclosed cages. If they performed the “correct” action or made the “right” choice from among several options, they were “rewarded” with a bit of food. Kind of like the current Chinese social score system. That isn’t “right” for the hens, ducks, and gerbils, let alone for human beings.)

Conversely, Wen averred that government needs to inform Americans, "If you are vaccinated, you can do all these things. Here are all these freedoms that you have." Yes, if you do as the government tells you to, the government will allow you some freedoms! Isn’t that great, fellow hens, ducks, and gerbils?

It saddens me to no end to think that many Americans now have to be reminded that our freedoms don’t come from others, they come from God. If they didn’t, then people like Leana Wen and Dr. Fauci could tell the rest of us what freedoms we do or don’t have. Moreover, the Holocaust would not necessarily have been bad, because the government of the Third Reich deemed it prudent and proper.

So, yes, Wen and Reiner, let’s mandate vaccinations against COVID-19. Let’s mandate vaccine passports and proofs of vaccination. Let’s also make opting for abortion legal through the third trimester. But let’s prohibit polling places from requiring any form of ID to vote in American presidential elections.

Maybe one day someone will develop a vaccine against idiocy, hypocrisy, bullying, evil.

Maybe I will then assert that those vaccinations should be mandatory.

Democrats, “experts,” and their sycophants in Big Business, Tech, Academia and Media would go crazy, shouting, “How dare this bigoted, radical, right-wing fascist try to impose his will on the rest of us. It’s our body, our choice!”

Point proven.
