A husband-wife terror team killed 14 people and injured 21
more in an attack on San Bernardino County’s public health department
yesterday. The Inland Regional Center was in the midst of a holiday celebration
when Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the attack.
Farook worked at the facility for the past five years and was known to be a
devout Muslim. Co-workers, including Christian
Nwadike, said that Farook rarely started a conversation but was well liked. He
had visited Saudi Arabia this past summer and may have been “radicalized”
sources said.
Police finally stopped the killing- and the
killers- when they shot the terrorists, apparently prompting President Obama to
say that “gun-control may deter terrorists.” Yes, in much the same way that
disarming ourselves and appeasing aggression worked so well in preventing World
War II. The President also held out hope that it may have been an instance of
work place violence, or “mixed-motives.”
The
suspects wore black tactical vests during the attack and police found 5,000 bullets, 12 pipe bombs and tools for
fashioning IED’s at their residence. Yep, just another spontaneous case of
that old workplace violence popping up! What employee, perhaps offended by something someone said, and at the end of his or her rope, doesn't don a bullet proof vest, a few guns, and a pipe bomb or three and attempt to wipe out his or her co-workers?
