"Freedom Day" Savaged By Elites

July 19th was Freedom Day in England. The day when the English could (but did not have to) throw off their masks, return to their beloved pubs, stop avoiding other human beings as if they were starving and possessed cannibals, and reclaim some of their God-given liberties. A great day, no?

Certainly not for those intent on keeping their boot on our necks in glorious perpetuity. The Prophets of Doom, the Dr. Fauci worshippers, elite evangelizers of virtue-signaling and mental masturbation, and assorted other would-be tyrants were anything but happy about the prospect of such a day.

1,200 “experts” signed a letter predicting that Freedom Day would have a devastating impact on the entire planet. Naturally, the media loved this, championing the missive. For example, the headline in the Guardian was: “England’s Covid unlocking is threat to world, say 1,200 scientists.”

Christina Pagel, of London’s University College, summarily dismissed the impending glee felt by many ordinary English subjects by decreeing that, to her, it all “feels quite shit.” Terse, if not Churchillian. She added of the allegedly surging Delta Variant: “It’s more infectious, it’s more severe and it’s more vaccine-resistant,” and said that Freedom Day is a “terrible plan.”

Pagel was one of 122 supposedly “expert” signatories to a letter describing Freedom Day as a “dangerous and unethical experiment.”

Turns out, the elites were wrong about Freedom Day. Really wrong.

Daily coronavirus cases in formerly Jolly Olde England have plummeted from about 42,347 on July 19th itself to around 19,012 on August 3rd, over two weeks later. England has experienced a drop in the number of coronavirus infections-- and relatively low levels of COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths—since its Freedom Day celebration. That is, indeed, cause for celebration. But not for global elitists and “experts.”

To the minds of those who wish to enslave us, freedom is always a “terrible plan,” and a “dangerous and unethical experiment.”

The Strange Death Of Europe...And America

Douglas Murray wrote an excellent book, published in 2017, titled: “The Strange Death of Europe.” Upon reading it recently, I was overwhelmed by the realization that if one replaced “Europe” or “European” with “The United States” or “American” in all his quotes and observations, one would have the perfect description of post-Trump America. I don’t often cite many quotes from other authors, and I hope I don’t overstep the bounds of propriety in doing so here, but Murray was so spot-on I must share his wisdom here. To wit:

*Murray noted that European values had “Become so wide as to become meaninglessly shallow.”

*And that ”Europe is now deeply weighed down with guilt for its past.”

*He stated that, due to mass immigration, “The places that had been European gradually became somewhere else. So places dominated by Pakistani immigrants resembled Pakistan in everything but their location, with the recent arrivals and their children eating the food of their place of origin, speaking the language of their place of origin and worshipping the religion of their place of origin.”

*He also saw that this, naturally, occurred ”At the same time Europe lost faith in its beliefs, traditions and legitimacy.”

*One of Murray’s most trenchant observations was, ”All the time Europeans found ways to pretend this could work.”

*He realized that all of this led to “The problem in Europe of an existential tiredness and a feeling that perhaps for Europe the story has run out.” He added that this was happening at “precisely the moment when a new society has begun to move in,” which, he said, “cannot help but lead to vast, epochal changes.”

*Which, in turn, led to this tragic reflection: ”Had it been possible to discuss these matters some solution might have been reached,” but “speech and thought was constricted.” Sound familiar, conservative and non-leftist Americans?

*The last Murray quote I’ll cite is the saddest: ”Europe today has little desire to reproduce itself, fight for itself or even take its own side in an argument.” Wow. Unfortunately, that is an accurate description of what leftists wish for America and Americans…and one which the mainstream media, Hollywood, Academia, and Big Tech fervently share. And one which “RINOs,” like lambs to a slaughter, meekly go along with.

If we in the West don’t recover our sense of self—and self-worth-- there is no hope. A realistic assessment of our history and contributions to the world should make that an easy task. However, a realistic assessment of history is exactly what the leftists who control all of our institutions desperately try to prevent, with great success.

President Trump tried to teach us how to fight for ourselves again, in a gritty and imperfect world, with all the odds against us. In doing so, he channeled our founders.

Ultimately, we let him down. Or so it appears.

Might there still be time to Make America Great Again? Time will tell. If not, we will witness “The Strange Death of the United States.” And, for differing reasons, the rest of the world will then go down the tubes, too. Yes, China, that includes you.

Democrats Deliberately Conflate Rights With Privileges

The Left confuses and conflates rights with privileges, often has them exactly reversed, in fact.

The Left thinks being called by your “preferred pronoun” is a right, but that being allowed to defend yourself and your family, especially with a firearm, is a privilege. Progressives believe a person has a right to be sheltered from any idea, belief, or phrase that that person might disagree with, but that free speech is a privilege. Most Democrats seem to believe one has a right to an illness free life, but not to individual liberty. They believe there is a right to a guaranteed income, but not to any job they deem “non-essential.” Progressives believe we all have a right to the sex and /or gender of our choosing, but that it’s a privilege to be able to attend the church of our choice. Democrats believe in your right to force any and every bakery-- regardless of its owner’s religious beliefs and moral values-- to make you a gay/trans/pangender/orgy/bestiality-themed cake, but that it’s a privilege to be a straight, white, Christian man.

Leftists somehow purport to believe that the right to abortion is cemented in our Founding documents, but that a nationalized healthcare system board should essentially be able to tell anyone over 75 that they don’t deserve or qualify for medical treatment as that would be an inefficient use of resources. In other words, that it would be a privilege for an elderly person to be granted the same health care options as a younger person.

This all stems from leftists fundamental misunderstanding of the concept of both rights and Natural Law. Conservatives (and classical liberals) understand that our rights are granted at birth by our Creator and protect us from arbitrary and egregious acts by others. These “negative” rights state that others (government) can’t, say, exterminate or imprison us because of our skin color or religious beliefs, can’t capriciously take away our property, right to free speech and assembly, or ability to defend ourselves. (And can’t force us to be injected with a foreign substance of unproven and unknown efficacy or treat us as pariahs and revoke our rights if we refuse to do so.) These negative rights, or individual liberties, simply require others (government) not to do specific things that would harm us in contravention to God’s Law and are—or were-- the foundational principles of the United States of America.

In contrast, today’s so-called “liberals” believe in “positive rights,” which impose on others (government) a duty to act or provide in a certain way. These “rights” are better termed entitlements and are hallmarks of the welfare state.

Also, they aren’t rights.

It is a great thing for every individual—and every group for that matter—if governments can’t arbitrarily kill them, imprison them, silence them, or steal from them. It is not good or helpful for people to think they have a right to other people’s money. Or their neighbor’s house, wife, manservant, maidservant, ox, or ass. Or anything else that is thy neighbor’s.

Those on the left have the right to say what they will. The very God, people, documents and nation they so eagerly denigrate have granted, guaranteed and defended that right for going on two and a half centuries now. They do not have the right to our houses, wives or income. Nor do they have the right to silence, “cancel,” or imprison those with whom they disagree, no matter how zealously they may argue otherwise.

Unfortunately, far too many of us—and our Republican “representatives”-- have effectively afforded them that privilege.

It is well past time we reassert our rights. They don’t come from government or Democrats, though they desperately want us to think they do.

Our rights have been granted by our Creator, been recognized, asserted and proclaimed by the Founders, been symbolized and made tangible in the Star-Spangled Banner, and defended by all those who have served in the United States military.

It is time to start acting like we know this.

Male And Female Differences "A Thing?" Nah!

A Harvard University “diversity leader” took to Twitter last week to blast a colleague who had the temerity to assert that there are actual, tangible differences between males and females and that science recognizes those differences. Laura Simone Lewis stated that she was “appalled and frustrated by the transphobic and harmful remarks” made by her Human Evolutionary Biology colleague Carol Hooven while on “Fox & Friends.”

Lewis added: “Let’s be clear: if you respect diverse gender identities & aim to use correct pronouns, then you would know that people with diverse genders/sexes can be pregnant incl Trans [sic] men, intersex people & gender nonconforming people. That isn’t too hard for medical students to understand.” Actually, it may well be, given that it is a bold-faced lie. It is not the purpose of science, Ms. Lewis, to “respect diverse gender identities” and to “use correct pronouns.” It is the purpose of science to explain natural phenomena and seek the truth.

Lewis purports to study the social cognition of chimpanzees and bonobos. She ludicrously identifies as a “Blewish feminist mermaid” in her Twitter profile, Blewish meaning a person of mixed Black and Jewish descent. She went on to attack Hooven’s belief in the binary male and female classification of sexes, opining that “dangerous language perpetuates a system of discrimination against non-cis people within the med[ical] system.” Moreover, she whined that Hooven’s comments “directly oppose our Task Force work that aims to create a safe space for scholars of ALL gender identities and sexes.” Yes, all 1,497 of them…or whatever number we are currently up to. Does Ms. Lewis’ task farce force work aim to create a safe space for those that don’t wish to participate in the preposterous charade that one can choose one’s own sex and gender? I’m guessing not so much.

I would like to ask Ms. Lewis how many genders/sexes of chimps, horses, elephants, and gerbil's she thinks there are. If the answer is, say, two, because those animals don't have the ability to imagine themselves as something other than what they obviously are and cannot “identify” as the opposite sex, we would have just proved biological sex is real and primary. And thank God for that, or none of us would be here.

In days of yore, people did not endlessly and excruciatingly wrestle with the question of how to decide a person’ sex. But science isn't what it used to be…on that the science is settled.

How would Newton, Galileo, Darwin, Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, and Jonas Salk “identify” if they were alive today? How many sexes would they say exist? Would any one of them insist we address them individually as “they?”

I am surprised that no one has yet deemed computer code too binary, and asked what Gottfried Leibniz was thinking. Did he not realize that binary codes are hurtful and exclusionary? Surely we can do better. We must be more diverse than that. Just ones and zeros? Really? What about twos, threes, nines-- and even 78s, 444s, or 6,456s for that matter? How much longer will we continue to marginalize or exclude a nearly infinite number of…numbers? Frankly, I am tired of the systemic numerism rampant in this country.

House Democrats Vote To Force American Taxpayers To Fund Overseas Abortions

House Democrats recently voted to repeal a ban on U.S. taxpayer funding for elective abortions in foreign countries. No Republican supported the bill.

Well, what could be more progressive than forcing all taxpayers, regardless of their religious beliefs, to fund the killing of mostly brown, Black and yellow babies? Who knew leftists were pro-genocidal-imperialism?

I am disgusted by the actions of the new administration for many reasons and on many levels, and its callous countenance, indeed encouragement, of baby killing is certainly among them. In recent years, it has become clear that the radical left is clearly winning the battle for the soul of the (formerly) Democratic Party. (And it is clearly controlling the Biden administration.)

In 2019, Alabama state Senator Bobby Singleton lost his mind when a pro-life bill restricting abortion passed in the state’s House of Representatives and Senate. He took to the Senate floor to rage: “You just aborted the state of Alabama with your rhetoric with this bill! You just aborted the state of Alabama yourself, and all of you should be put in jail for this abortion that you just laid on the state of Alabama! This is just a shame, this is a disgrace, and it’s a travesty!”

Passing a bill to prevent babies from being ripped from the womb, dismembered, and disposed of like so many hypodermic needles is aborting the entire state of Alabama? He wanted to imprison 99 of his fellow representatives for casting votes?

But Senator Simpleton was just getting started. Why stop him when he was on a roll? He continued, saying those who voted in favor of the bill “don’t care nothing about mothers of the state of Alabama.” (Other than encouraging them to actually become mothers.) In progressives’ land of topsy-turvydom, voting to prevent widespread abortions is the one true abortion. Singleton added (of those who voted for the bill), “You just raped every little baby.” By voting to protect them? Talk about clinical insanity. The Senator’s entire tirade was so disturbing and preposterous as to defy description.

In the same year, Bernie Sanders claimed that abortion was a “Constitutional right.” While I am aware that the founders talked of the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” I confess I am ignorant of the Constitutional clause guaranteeing the right to “end a pregnancy if it should in any way inconvenience the prospective mother or significant other.”

Also in 2019, Hillary Rodham Clinton savaged state-level restrictions on abortion, tweeting: “The abortion bans in Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Mississippi are appalling attacks on women’s lives and fundamental freedoms.” She then urged her followers to donate to The National Network of Abortion Funds, one of whose member organizations is the Lilith Fund, named for an ancient demon who, according to mythology, preyed on children as well as pregnant women. Nice touch. In a separate tweet, she called on followers to prevent “a future in which our daughters and granddaughters have fewer rights than we do.” This, too, was an inconceivably stupid remark. Those who are pro-life are trying to prevent a future in which there may be no daughters and granddaughters. And who has fewer rights than an unborn baby girl?

I have always said that “pro-choice” people’s insistence that women have the inherent right to do whatever they wish with their own bodies is—or should be—an easily refuted lie. None of us have the “right” to drive drunk, burn down someone else’s home or business, or rob a bank. With our own bodies. Even if we aren’t sheltering a nascent human life inside of us.

There are many on the left that claim that abortion is “self-care.” If that is true, then murder is “self-help” and rape is “self-pleasuring.” Self-care? Abortion is selfish.

The politically-correct Progressive crowd purports to believe that stating “All Lives Matter” is a worse offense than depriving someone of life. They claim that calling those who rape, maim and kill “animals” is a greater crime than…raping, maiming or killing someone.

Leftists have tried hard to destigmatize and normalize abortion, going so far as to tout abortion “spas,” as if aborting one’s baby could ever be a pleasant, relaxing, restorative experience. Recently, a few Democrat-run cities and states have even flirted with legalizing “after-birth” abortion, otherwise known as murder.

The medical director of Planned Parenthood of Minnesota and the Dakotas once stated that abortion “is basic health care for women. One in three women have an abortion in their lifetime. How much more basic is that?” One in three women may gamble, too, but that wouldn’t qualify gambling as “basic financial planning for women.”

Still others claim that abortion is just another form of birth control or prevention. That is sickeningly ludicrous. By definition you can only abort what is already in existence or under way.

There is no war on women, no systemic misogyny. There is, however, a war on babies. And it’s a slaughter.

Because one side can’t fight back.

The “Spark of Divinity” grows dim in us all.

As hard as that may be to conceive.

Capitol Police To Arrest Bare-Faced Visitors

“The People’s House?” Not so much. That was so old-school, so yesterday, so in keeping with the spirit and intent of the Founders.

United States Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger recently announced that Capitol Police will start potentially arresting congressional aides and visitors to the House side of the Capitol if they have the audacity to appear there unmasked.

Manger’s letter trumpeting the threat stated, "If a visitor or staff member fails to wear a mask after a request is made to do so, the visitor or staff shall be denied entry to the House Office Buildings or House-side of the U.S. Capitol. Any person who fails to either comply or leave the premises after being asked to do so would be subject to an arrest for Unlawful Entry."

Though the same mandate technically applies to members of Congress, the same strict enforcement will not. Of course. Capitol Police, at least those who aren’t then giving tearful testimony about how the January 6th protest was worse than Armageddon, will simply be asked to report bare-faced lawmakers to supervising officers "who will, in turn, refer the matter to the House Sergeant at Arms.”

One almost viscerally senses the age-spotted hand of Nancy (“Do as I Say, Not as I Do”) Pelosi behind the new edict.

The Capitol Police tried to put a rose-colored spin on the draconian new mandate by subsequently issuing an email statement reading: "Regarding the House rules about masks, there is no reason it should ever come to someone being arrested. Anyone who does not follow the rules will be asked to wear a mask or leave the premises.” The email further noted that the new rule was only put in place to protect people’s “health and safety." Sure. Now tell me the one about the three bears.

In a similar vein, New York City Mayor Bill (“A.K.A. ’Warren Wilhelm’”) de Blasio, speaking of the unvaccinated, told MSNBC: “We’ve got to shake people at this point and say, ‘Come on now.’ We tried voluntary. We could not have been more kind and compassionate.” Ominously, he added “The voluntary phase is over.”

Sensing a theme yet?

President Biden recently opined, “If you’re not vaccinated, you’re not nearly as smart as I thought you were.” (It was unclear whether he was talking to his wife, sister, son Hunter, dogs Champ and Major, or Americans in general.)

I would suggest that if you robotically/reflexively comply with a government mandate to allow yourself to be injected with an unvetted gene therapy treatment/”vaccine,” you might not be as smart as Biden thinks his dogs are.

In general, the concepts of rule of law and majority rule are good things, but many governments’ edicts are not, such as the command to spy on and rat out your neighbors or to turn in the Jews.

If the government enacts a law saying you must smoke cigarettes, that should not inspire everyone to take up smoking. The same goes if it were to say you can’t have more than one child, you must be castrated, be sent to a gulag, watch every episode of Two Broke Girls, etc., etc.

If your government said you cannot get vaccinated against the coronavirus if you felt it best for you, that would be unconscionable. If it tells you that you must get vaccinated, that is even worse.

Democratic Ohio Rep. Says She's Victim Of Unfair Treatment

Democratic Ohio Rep. Joyce Beatty claimed that her recent arrest for trespassing in the Hart Senate Atrium (not an insurrection!) was an example of disparate and unfair treatment because the Capitol rioters were not immediately arrested on Jan. 6. Oddly enough, I agree with her. She should be treated equally, so she should be imprisoned for six months or more on trumped up charges-- and possibly put into solitary confinement.

Are We Running Out Of Lesbians?

A recent Gallup poll found that the number of Americans identifying as LGBTQ has risen sharply, up from 4.5 percent in 2017 to 5.6 percent in 2021, a 24% increase in just four years. Well, knock me over with a feather boa. Several lesbian feminists were troubled by the survey results, however, as the number of Americans identifying as lesbian remained roughly the same, while the number identifying as bisexual or transgender skyrocketed. They believe that many young people who would have identified as lesbian in days of yore are now coming out as nonbinary or transgender. Egads!

The belief is that many masculine lesbians are now transitioning to men, causing the lesbian community as a whole to shrink. Aimee Anderson apparently saw this phenomenon coming and stated so in an article she wrote in 2015, titled “The Death of the Lesbian.” Anderson laments the loss of “old-school” lesbian culture, and ominously proclaimed, “I care about the extinction of an entire people: lesbians.”

First the dinosaurs and now lesbians. Life on Earth is tough.

Katie Herzog joins Anderson in her fond remembrance of the lesbian yesteryear utopia. Herzog penned a piece called “Where Have All the Lesbians Gone?” in which she wrote: “For older lesbian activists, there is something deeply sad about generations of females who don’t want to be lesbians or even women.” She recalled how an elderly lesbian once said to her that someday in the future people will be saying: “We heard about these creatures called lesbians,” adding, “They’ll dig up our bones. But the bones, of course, cannot talk.”

But West Virginia University humanities librarian Lynne Stahl disagrees. Stahl, in a piece published in the Washington Post, stated: “As a lesbian researcher of tomboyism trained in queer theory, I find claims like these at once absurd and frightening. Extinction anxieties have long fueled nationalist, fascist and white-supremacist movements and often beget eugenicist agendas.” She accused those who are concerned about the loss of lesbian culture of “transphobia.” Stahl opined that “attributing our fears to the growing trans population dangerously redirects attention from the institutions that actually harm us. Anti-trans groups are simply repurposing the rhetoric of extinction and contagion that drove 20th-century homophobia.” She noted, “Lesbians are not a species, and we feed existing racist, ableist and homophobic agendas when we invoke extinction.”

Stahl also contests the idea that today’s otherwise would-be lesbians are being “seduced” into transmasculinity, saying that this “reflects a belief that individuals can think their way into trans identification and should therefore think their way out of it. In this view, that is, gender identity is ‘just a phase.’”

But that is precisely what the notions of transgenderism and gender fluidity are based on…that one can think one’s way into becoming the opposite sex, and that one day a person might identify as a male, the next a female, and so on, thinking one’s way into overcoming or altering obvious biological and physical reality.

There is no greater amusement then when various woke identity groups turn on each other. (As opposed to turn each other on.) Last year, a transgender rights group at the University of Michigan filed a bias complaint against a lesbian arts and crafts group called “Lez Get Crafty” for excluding transgender women. In the complaint, a disgruntled male student wrote, “It is my belief that students should not be subjectified to discriminatory language of groups such as ‘Lez Get Crafty.’”

It is my belief that no one should be “subjectified” to the inane/insane ramblings of an army of indoctrinated queer robots who can’t even spell “subjected,” and who are simply robotically regurgitating their leftist mentors’ most tragically hip talking points.

You know you’ve reached a cultural tipping point when you’re yearning for the good ol’ days of traditional, garden-variety, stodgy, old-fashioned, Main Street, conservative lesbianism. Today, apparently, even the term is considered outdated and problematic, whereas “queer” is celebrated as hip, edgy, inclusive, and exciting.

What’s next (a question I’ve asked myself frequently in recent months)? Will we soon hear of people saying they don’t want to bring children into a world devoid of classical, conventional lesbians?

CRISIS! We’re running out of (cis-gendered) cis-lesbians! There may be none left by the year 2100!

Of course, the planet will have burned up by then…so maybe it’s a moot point.

Coercion, COVID, And Free Will

There is something we are not being told that would explain the elites’ extreme push to ensure that we all—regardless of age, health or vulnerability-- get vaccinated against the coronavirus, a virus that has an overall survivability rate of 99.8 percent globally (higher for young people), on a par with the seasonal flu. There has to be. Governments and media have never before reacted in this manner, even for flus, diseases, plagues and pandemics that were more lethal than COVID-19.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist. In fact, not so long ago I mocked those who were. Even today I don't believe there is anything “in” the coronavirus vaccines that can be used to track or control us per se, although the events of the past couple of years have shown me that anything is now possible.

At any rate, I've thought a lot about this in recent days and I've come to this conclusion regarding the tyrannical attempts to coerce us all into ceding sovereignty over our own bodies: it is primarily a big test-- probably the final one—issued by those in power to see if there are still limits as to what they can force Americans to do. For, if they can succeed in wresting our health decisions away from us, if they can take away our choice, if they can force us to submit to allowing an unvetted foreign substance into our persons to act in a way that cannot be now known on the very genes of which we are composed, they will know there is nothing they can’t do to us.

Ironically, if they can get the vast majority of citizens to renounce progressives’ decades-old mantra of “my body, my choice,” they will know they have won. (They will, of course, never acknowledge that the mantra, as progressives meant it, ignored the killing of an innocent baby and therefore was a priori nonsensical and evil).

If our elected officials, media, academicians, and Deep State masters can get enough people to do as they say, regardless of personal cost-benefit analysis or impact on their current and future freedoms and autonomy, they will then know they can finally take away our Second Amendment rights with impunity, as well.  They will be emboldened to take away our guns and our ability to protect ourselves and our loved ones. They will have robbed us of our free will.

I am not against people being vaccinated. It must be their choice, however. Unlike leftists, I never wish to tell others what they must do or not do. If the government—in conjunction with elites outside of government—can compel us to do whatever they want us to do, if we lose control over our own bodies, then, by definition, we are all slaves… and representative democracy is dead. As is the American dream.

Unlike 99.8 percent of those who contract the coronavirus.

Now kindly allow me a definition of my own--

Democrat: a smug, hypocritical, ignorant and/or evil, intolerant, power-hungry, ass-hat trying to subvert America from within…all while virtue-signaling (yet wallowing in self-aggrandizement). A willing tool of tyrannical governments past and present, and a communist apologist currently being used like an infant’s diaper by world leaders ranging from Ali Khamenei to Vladimir Putin to Xi Jinping. Validators of Nikita Khrushchev’s purported remark promising, “we will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the United States. We will bury you from within.” Singularly smarmy, disingenuous, and dangerous.
