A
recent YouGov survey on the popularity of world leaders, both
living and dead, found that just 5% of Republicans had a “very favorable” or
“somewhat favorable” opinion of Adolf Hitler, whereas 85% of Republicans
surveyed had unfavorable views of him, and 10% “didn’t know.” (Not sure
how that 10% is possible today.) Independents polled held virtually
identical views of Hitler.
But what
was interesting was that 10%
of Democrats had a “very favorable” or “somewhat
favorable” view of the Führer. Yes, apparently twice as many Democrats as
Republicans are fans of Hitler. That’s kind of ironic, is it not? I mean, given
that Democrats have incessantly slandered, libeled, and defamed nearly every Republican
as being a “Nazi,” “literally Hitler,” or in some way Hitleresque, for several
decades now. That repulsive impulse has only grown worse since Donald Trump and
his MAGA supporters entered the political fray.
This
is fascinating, but not surprising to an open-minded person who has paid
attention in recent years. Democrats are all about projection. It is their
weapon of choice. It is easy. And it works on a low-information populace.
And
think about the party’s history, from being pro-slavery and pro-KKK, to more
recently engaging in any and all behavior, especially unethical and illegal, to
punish those who dare to stray from their narrow ideological plantation. The
Russian Collusion hoax, impeachments, lawsuits, violence in the streets, etc.
New
York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Michigan senatorial candidate Abdulrahman
Mohamed El-Sayed are both members of the rapidly growing Democratic-Socialists
of America (DSA) and avid anti-Semites. Socialists? Anti-Semites? Hate the
Jews? The leader of the world’s most ever anti-Semitic socialist party, the
National Socialists or “Nazis,” would be proud. The Nazis demeaned non-Aryans.
DSA types demean everyone else. Muslims are charged with converting, enslaving,
or killing infidels.
Leftists
like Hasan Piker believe America “deserved” 9/11. Hillary Clinton called
conservatives deplorables. Barack Hussein Obama said we pathetic neanderthals
cling to our God and our guns. (Mostly true.) Elissa
Slotkin wants to discourage young adults from working for
Republicans by—apparently-- randomly prosecuting Trump administration officials,
thereby scaring off any young folks from working for Republicans in the
increasingly dystopian future.
The eminently
repulsive Jennifer
Welch wants to see violence visited upon Vice-President J.D.
Vance-- and other conservatives imprisoned. Or worse. Certain El-Sayed
supporters are planning for a violent
revolution to overthrow the current United States government if
their candidates don’t do well in the upcoming midterm elections. In other
words, if, even with all their cheating and malfeasance, their preferred socialist
candidates don’t win, they may simply try to stage an insurrection
(where have I heard that word before?) to take over the government by
force. If their candidates do win, they vow to pack the court, lock up
their opponents, and terrorize their opponents’ supporters so there will never
be another legitimate election again. (Pretty sure they accused Trump of refusing
to leave office and wanting to ban elections.) Because that is democracy
in action, folks!
There
have been more than two dozen major national attempts at socialism, all of
which ended in tyranny and economic collapse. The elites know this but will do
whatever they think is most likely to help them obtain, retain, and enhance
their power, even if it leaves their country—and countrymen—shattered and
poverty-stricken. Period.
This
can seem depressing and demoralizing, but it should not be. Mankind has
overcome tyrannies and economic and social disasters before. And, besides, we
have no choice but to buck up and act accordingly, both for ourselves and for
future generations. It should perhaps even inspire us and give further meaning
to our lives. The best-case scenario would be if we can stave off the calamity
before it happens. The worst, that we would have to make the sacrifices that so
many have already made to give us the relative freedom and prosperity many of
us still enjoy today.
The
U.S. became the greatest and most prosperous—and generous—nation on Earth
directly because of its free-market capitalism and Judeo-Christian work ethic
and values.
We
cannot let the Commies or the Muslims win.
We
might well need a rebirth of McCarthyism. And/or a Ninth Crusade.
