An Ode To "Fossil" Fuels

 

Memo to anti-fossil fuel groups like Extinction Rebellion and Rising Tide-- and the individuals that comprise them:

So, you are for the rapid transition from fossil fuels such as oil and gas to “sustainable green energy” fuels like wind and solar? Or even the near immediate banning of their production and use?  Well, you better not travel anywhere in a car! Or truck, bus, plane, boat or train. In fact, you better not own an automobile-- or a motorcycle, ATV, boat, etcetera, etcetera. Because if you do you are a hypocrite of the highest order whose every opinion and utterance is automatically invalidated.

Oh, and you better not buy anything in any store, either. Or online. Because all goods arrive-- whether to a retail outlet or to your front door-- via cars, vans, trucks, planes, boats, or trains. And the vast majority of those goods are at least partially made from petroleum products…or in factories or on farms powered by “fossil fuels.”

So don't be a hypocrite. Just starve-- or freeze-- to death in your tent on stolen land. And shut the hell up.

We’d all like to have clean, sustainable energy in perpetuity. But that energy has to be affordable without government subsidies. And it has to actually be “clean,” and not destroy or poison large tracts of land in other countries, utilize slave or child labor to be produced, or be controlled by enemies of the U.S.

It was no coincidence that the discovery and use of fossil fuels occurred almost simultaneously with the onset of mass production, which led to sharp decreases in the cost of goods. And resulted in increasing prosperity, freedom, and leisure time for those in the developed nations.

Conversely, alternative energy sources have a mixed record at best. Wind turbines/farms are the ultimate bird dicers and the turbines themselves are made out of petroleum. And they don’t produce energy when the wind doesn’t blow. And when it does, it is often hard to efficiently transfer the energy to The Grid.

Fossil fuels and capitalism have done more to raise standards of living—and life expectancy— around the world, than any other contributing factors.

So, “Extinction Rebellion,” if you wanted to rebel against extinction, you should consider protesting unfettered abortion, medical-assistance-in-dying (MAID), mandatory unvetted experimental mRNA “vaccines,” increasingly lower fertility/birth rates, and the declining rates of marriage, among other things. A “Rising Tide” may lift all boats, but it doesn’t float mine.

Diversity, Immigrants, And Rescuing The Last Best Hope

 

The notion of America being “a nation of immigrants” is-- and always was-- a little bit misleading. According to Mark Steyn, even as late as the 1990s, the majority of the people in the United States were descendants of those here before the Declaration of Independence. That's right, as recently as three decades ago, most U.S. citizens were descendants of Europeans who arrived here prior to July 4th, 1776. Now, thanks to many possibly well-meaning but misguided Republicans, and Democrats searching for a dependable permanent electorate, we are ever more like a nation of third world Muslim tribes who have no familiarity with, nor fondness for, freedom, entrepreneurship, or limited government of, by, and for the people. The bigger the government, the smaller its citizens.

Our ancestors once sailed here on the Niňa, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria— and, of course, the Mayflower. But the flower of our youth has wilted, the melting pot has been cast aside, and the liberty ship is sailing away. The shining city on the hill is plagued with rampant crime, homelessness, sloth, dependency, and hopelessness. The land of the free and the home of the brave is turning into the land of the wee and the home of the depraved.

I don’t like this any more than you do. But there is an answer to this problem that is at once easy and hard: refuse to tolerate it! Decline to nod along with your Aunt Karen as she recounts how the Reagan administration was good for the rich but not so good for the poor and middle class. (Not true.) Don’t let your professor indoctrinate you. Don’t be taken in by fake news (which is the overwhelming majority of what gets called “news” in the mainstream media. Get involved with local politics.

And tell the truth. Always and no matter what, consequences be damned.

Swamp dwellers, Democrats and Republicans alike, view The Truth as an existential threat. Because it is. To them. But it is just what can set us free again. Eventually. If we hold firm to our beliefs.

As I have repeatedly noted on this site, diversity is neither a value nor a virtue. As Steyn has repeatedly stated over the years, “diversity is where nations go to die.”

The choice is clear: we can be a nation of (illegal) immigrants or a nation of citizens. If we choose the former, we won’t be a nation much longer, period.

 

The Midterms Are Looming-- And With Them The Specter Of Death For A Representative Republic

 

Republicans better get their act together—and quickly. That said, I’m also urging pigs to fly.

I say this because the last, best hope for the Last, Best Hope will have expired on Tuesday, November 26th, 2026 if they do not. And I, for one, I'm not holding my breath. At this point, I fully expect Republicans to lose the House and possibly the Senate, effectively ending Trump's presidency and the MAGA Revolution. I know this opinion won't sit well with a great many of you, but, sadly, I believe it to be the truth.

One might logically ask how this would be possible given that many of the views and policies Democrats promote are unpopular with the majority of Americans, and the fact that Republicans currently hold the House, Senate, and presidency. There is at least a three-part answer to that query: rampant cheating on the part of Democrats, idiocy on the part of a misinformed electorate, and extreme cravenness on the part of Republicans.

If Republicans do blow it, they will have squandered their last chance to fundamentally transform the nation back to its founding ideals. The only hope for the country was for Trump and his administration to somehow defeat the endlessly vast Deep State and all the major institutions that are arrayed against them. Unfortunately, at this point, the only possibility to achieve even a partial victory would be to nuke the filibuster and pass a full slate of election laws to prevent industrial scale fraud and cheating by the Democrats. (After which, they could theoretically reestablish the filibuster.)

But Republicans prefer losing to leading... and will now likely get their wish in perpetuity. Unfortunately for the American people, Democrats love to win almost as much as they disdain the citizens whose lives they are likely about to wreck. Open borders, rampant crime and corruption, and an even more gargantuan Welfare State will see to that. Unlimited spending, disincentives to work, and other Marxist policies will eventually destroy the economy as certainly as Gavin Newsom uses hair gel or that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning. Despite his flaws and occasional unforced errors, sans Trump, there is no one to even effectively fight THE GIANT LEFTIST BLOB, let alone have a chance at winning.

The new and even more radicalized Democrats, citing Trump, will end the filibuster should they feel the need, dispense with the Electoral College, re-open the borders, make Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico states, retake full control of the military and intelligence agencies and re-weaponize them, and make criticism of the government a crime. For starters.

That's what’s at stake.

For a nation unaware that its effective demise is potentially now only months away.

“But Eric, if you say Republicans aren't fully committed to their bit, and they haven’t passed much of Trump’s agenda, why does it matter who’s elected?” For the same reason it matters if your daughter is dating an unstable monster or a generally decent yet somewhat timid and underachieving lad.

I am on record as stating, years ago, that I did not believe the country could be restored to its former glory after the Obama administration fundamentally transformed it by taking a wrecking ball to it and its founding principles. And then, with Trump’s ascension and the burgeoning MAGA Movement, I saw a tiny glimmer of hope. I let myself fantasize about equal justice under the rule of law, a more limited government of, by, and for the people, a renewed respect for productivity and excellence—and those who came before us. A restoration of pride and sanity.

But it appears it was all only a fantasy, ephemeral, due to the staggeringly vast corruption and rigid ideology of our media, academia, Blue State governments, “charitable” organizations, the Deep State, and, increasingly, major religions. And the aforementioned and unforgivable weakness of RINOs.

On July 4^th, 1776, we declared our independence. On November 3^rd, 2026, more than a quarter of a Millenium later, we may render that declaration null and void, effectively declaring our dependence on an ever-more bloated-- and permanent-- one-party state. In doing so, we would also overturn the Emancipation proclamation and sign off on our unwavering fealty to the Democrat Party. You can rest assured Democrats will approve of this slavery just as heartily as they did the enslavement of others in the 19^th Century.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz-- Staggeringly Incompetent Leader And Somali Fraud Apologist

 

Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (A.K.A. “Tampon Timmy,” “Jazz Hands,” and “Comrade Walz”), deflected blame for his state’s staggering fraud during a recent interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker. Welker asked Walz if he takes responsibility for allowing over $1 billion in taxpayer funds to be stolen from his government via various state programs.

Walz hilariously stated that he does “take responsibility for putting people in jail,” adding that “Governors don’t get to just talk theoretically. We have to solve problems.” Well, he isn’t big on putting criminals in jail—or keeping them there—but maybe he was talking optimistically about incarcerating Islamophobes or political opponents.

The several massive fraud scandals appear interwoven, and all seem to involve Somalis at this point, whether it be the Feed Our Future Children hoax, Medicare scams, or the ever-burgeoning autism graft. Yet Walz, like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, reflexively leapt to the defense of the Somalis, saying that people should not “demonize” Minnesota’s Somali population, which, along with Michigan’s, is the largest in the nation. Walz: “I will note, it’s not just Somalis. Minnesota is a generous state. Minnesota is a prosperous state, a well-run state. We’re AAA-bond rated. But that attracts criminals.”

So, the staggering fraud, grift, graft, and deception isn’t just among Somalis? Walz is admitting it goes much deeper than that? Is every state government entity, “charity” organization, and minority group involved in fraudulently bilking the North Star state citizen-taxpayer out of his or her money?! At this point, it wouldn’t surprise many.

Minnesota is no longer prosperous or well-run, explicitly because of Walz’s leadership…or lack thereof. And I very much doubt that criminals care much about its soon-to-be-former AAA bond rating. But they are certainly laser-focused on its “generosity.” The state has long leaned liberal, at least in terms of its leaders and urban areas. As far back as the 1980s, many permanently and deliberately unemployed folks travelled from cities such as Chicago to Minneapolis for its “generous” welfare benefits, courtesy, of course, in large part to the state’s taxpayers. Some were observed getting off buses, looking around, and saying, “We in Moneyapolis now!”

Incredibly, things are even worse today. To the extent that someone like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) can “marry” her brother, come to the states, get elected…and then incessantly bitch about everything American…while listening to Muslim prayers being broadcast across her district five times a day.

No sane person could think that this is moral. This benefits nobody but the likes of Rep. Omar and other criminals. But, due to excessive tolerance and suicidal empathy—and perhaps more nefarious reasons-- no Democrat anywhere in the country is ever truly held accountable for their actions. Don’t expect Walz to be, either. In fact, if he decides to run for an unprecedented third term, it wouldn’t surprise me if he won.

Minnesota, the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, is now the Land of Ten Thousand Frauds. And many times more idiots.

Other than the lakes thing, I guess that makes it a lot like Washington, D.C.

Scotland Considers Assisted Suicide

 

Scotland is currently considering legislation that would legalize assisted suicide. This led John Keenan, Bishop of Paisley, to warn that passage of the bill could mean Catholic care organizations like the Little Sisters in Greenock would be forced to allow assisted suicide in their homes or face defunding or closure.

Bishop Keenan further stated (of the proposed bill): “It will also not exclude a person whose primary motivation for their request is among [the] following nonterminal conditions: eating disorders; intellectual disabilities, including but not limited to [Down] syndrome; mood disorders, including but not limited to depression; anxiety disorders; the receipt of any disability or sickness-related benefits, including but not limited to Adult Disability Payment, or any equivalent welfare payment; loneliness or social isolation; financial hardship or low income; feelings of being a burden to others; poor or unsuitable housing conditions; any other mental health condition or developmental disorder that is not a terminal illness.”

If this proves true, we will have passed the point of no return.

Didn’t get that promotion at work? It’s okay, medical professionals are here to end your life!

Lose your Tam O’ Shanter? Spill your Guinness? Bad day at the track? No problem, authorities will see to your demise.

Son come out as straight? Daughter says she’s converting to Judaism? Not to worry, we can snuff you out.

Is your favorite kilt ripped and stained? Did your camera malfunction just when you had Nessie framed for the perfect photo? Why put up with the pain and shame when you can simply end it all?

Let dad down? Wife left you for her gynecologist? Worried about global warming/climate change? Why not do the world a solid and exit, stage left, if you know what I mean?

Experiencing insomnia? Got a touch of agoraphobia? You know what to do.

Dumb as a post? Let’s spell it out for you: Medical Assistance In Dying, or MAID. Can you spell M-A-I-D?

Should this be the criteria determining eligibility for assisted suicide, the vast majority of those comprising today’s Democrat party would qualify.

It is expressly okay to make fun of a horrifying bill (and ethos) for three reasons: 1) It is often the most effective way to illustrate absurdity and evil, 2) First Amendment/free speech rights, and 3) Because the alternative is to get so depressed that one might consider……never mind.

 

 

 

 

 

Migrants Becoming Conquerors As Western Nations Continue To Deny Reality

 

The only reason a person or people would stay in a country they openly despise is because they wish to conquer it.

Muslim “migrants” are a rapidly increasing share of the population of most (formerly) Western nations. In America, every state in the union has at least one Mosque, most have dozens. There are well over 100 Muslim elected officials, 39 of them in Michigan alone. Recently, in Dearborn, Michigan, nearly everyone in a crowd chanted “Death to America.”

More than 100 years ago, Henry Ford allegedly said that his company’s Model T, made in Dearborn, was available in “any color the customer wants, as long as it’s black.” The city’s current mayor seems to be implying that its residents are free to choose any religion, as long as it’s Islam.

Liberalism/progressivism/wokeism/leftism has so diseased a great many people's minds that they are no longer able to reason. Today’s “liberals” become so besotted with empty virtue signaling and/or become so afraid of disagreeing with their tribe’s conventional “wisdom” that they are incapable of rational thought or effective discernment.

The way to win a war without bloodshed is to capture people's minds first. Souls and bodies inevitably follow. After that has been achieved, it is easy to capture their country.

Already, Muslim calls to prayer ring out across many of our cities. What would residents of, say, Detroit, Minneapolis, and Paris have said about this in, say, the 1950s? In some areas, Muslims have attempted to restrict the sale of pork and alcohol products, and even the rights of dog owners to go on walks in areas they inhabit. In others, they have complained of Christmas decorations. And, of course, countless Christian churches across the old and new worlds have been vandalized and destroyed.

Get ready to dispense with music. And to make sure your womenfolk’s bodies are entirely hidden from the gaze of our beloved “migrants.”
