Immigration Then And Now

Virtually all earlier immigrants to the United States were Christians from Europe. Who only wanted a chance, not a handout. And who loved America and the idea of being “an American.” As absurd as it seems to say, even the Civil War didn’t permanently separate or destroy us, because of that very fact. Most of the folks who weren’t Christian came here to flee Communism and reveled in their newfound freedom and opportunity and were eternally grateful to the nation that accepted them. This is how the U.S. made it to its 250th anniversary observance, going on even now, though it is often hard to notice.

However, in the last several decades, that has all changed. The majority of those immigrants entering our country did so illegally, which should have been a giant red flag—a non-starter—the moment they set foot on American soil. The hordes who have come here from the Middle east and East African nations, and many who have come across our southern border, are not Christian, not just looking for a chance to make it with extra hard work, and not particularly grateful to America. In fact, many despise it.

There is a simple solution to this problem. Do not allow them to enter the country, and, if they do, send them back. In this way, indigenous Americans would not be taken advantage of, and less fraud, crime, and transfer of wealth would be committed.

Maybe even more importantly, we will have not subjected these migrants, beatific and enriching as they are, to the overt racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and white supremacy that their advocates and apologists believe is so obviously rampant “in this country,” even as they lobby—or riot-- for their admittance and acceptance. Speaking of absurdity.

So, once again, leftists purport to believe that, if an immigrant gives birth here the day she arrives, the baby is inarguably a precious and invaluable American citizen with all the attendant rights of one whose family arrived on these shores in, say, the 1700s. Well, actually with far more rights. Because, if you are a straight, white, Christian whose family emigrated to the United States in the 1700s, and who has served in the military and been an exemplary citizen, the very same leftists will call you a “colonizer,” “bigot,” “Xenophobe.”

It is amazing to me that anyone cares what a leftist may call them. The only proper response to these ridiculous projections is to mock or dismiss them-- or, better yet, to illustrate how they are indeed just pathetic projections, far more apt descriptions of leftists themselves than of anyone of a conservative bent.
