Donald Trump has only been president-elect for one week and
he is already backing away from his own promises to crack down on illegal
immigration and build a viable wall on the Mexican border. In fact, this story
was the lead one in my local paper,
front page above-the-fold. This didn’t deter the editors from placing a
headline directly below it on that same front page proclaiming: “’Constant
fear’ as immigrants brace for life under Trump.”
Trump’s
first three appointees to his transition
team were Kellyanne Conway (a woman), Ben Carson (a black man), and tech
billionaire Peter Thiel…who is gay. But let’s not let logic, reason or the
plain facts get in the way of our anti-Trump orgy! He is sexist, racist and homophobic, and shouting that out to the
world arouses us! Keep the vitriol flowing baby…it feels so good! Make the Trumpists tremble before our naked
inclusion and overwhelming tolerance! We’re, puff…so, pant, pant…morally superior, aaahhhhhhhhhhgg…to the
fascist Republican, that….(oh baby, was it good for you?)… it’s not even funny!
