Senate Democrats Vote Down Amendment Protecting Asians From Discrimination

Senate Democrats recently voted down an amendment that would have barred “Federal funding for any institution of higher education that discriminates against Asian Americans in recruitment, applicant review, or admissions.” The amendment was sponsored by Ted Cruz, John Kennedy, and Bill Haggerty. Cruz stated: “This amendment is straight-forward, it targets the ongoing discrimination that is being directed against Asian-Americans by colleges and universities across the country.” He noted that many universities have been unjustly “denying admission to qualified Asian-American applicants in favor of underrepresented minority groups,” and added that the Department of Justice had recently sued these universities, until President Joe Biden put a stop to the lawsuits.

This isn’t the first time Democrats have treated Asian-Americans like second-class citizens…or worse. Think Franklin Roosevelt and the internment of roughly 120,000 Japanese Americans in World War II, most of whom were actually American citizens.

Louisiana Senator John Kennedy said, “We have major universities in this country that are discriminating in admissions against Asian-Americans. Discrimination is discrimination.” He added, “This is wrong, it is contemptible, it is odious.”

Cruz put up the amendment as part of a vote on Senate legislation called the “COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act” that would require “expedited review of hate crimes” by the Department of Justice. The “COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act” was proposed by Hawaii Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono and would “establish online reporting of hate crimes or incidents” and “expand public education campaigns aimed at raising awareness of hate crimes and reaching victims.”

Ironically, Hirono voted against the amendment targeting discrimination perpetrated against Asians by so-called institutions of higher learning, calling it a “cynical attack” on universities that seek to “increase diversity.” (Hirono’s legislation is awaiting a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives.)

To recap, Democrats are virtually saying, “We have to protect the structural ability to discriminate against Asians (and white people) if we are to finally eliminate systemic racism in this country. Anyone with a brain knows that not discriminating against Asians (and white people) is racist!”

California Rep. Asks Greta Thunberg For Parenting Advice

California Rep. Katie Porter (it would be stating the obvious to point out that she is a Democrat) recently asked 18-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg what she should tell her daughter about climate change. The 47-year-old mother and elected Golden State representative queried Thunberg, stating: “I told my nine-year-old daughter that I was going to be speaking with you. And I said, what do you think about the climate change? And she said, ‘the earth is on fire and we’re all going to die soon.’ And I asked her how that made her feel and she said it made her feel angry. What should I tell my daughter and how should I help her and the youngest generation bear the emotional toll of the actions that we’re taking, fossil fuel companies are taking to destroy our planet.”

To which Thunberg replied: “And, of course, always the best medication against anger and anxiety is to take action yourself. So that’s what I would tell her. To take action herself, because that will make her feel so much better. That’s what it did to me, at least, and so many others.”

How do nine-year-old kids get the idea that “the earth is on fire” and “we’re all going to die soon?” It comes from teachers and the media, of course. And the likes of Greta Thunberg, Al Gore and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. People who benefit from making as many others as possible “feel angry.” People who are guilty of using misinformation and lies to further their own agenda, manipulate others, and frighten children. They are as guilty of child-molestation as they are of trafficking in fake news.

If it wasn’t for fossil fuel companies, none of us—environmental activists included—would have anything like the quality of life we have enjoyed. Gore wouldn’t have a huge, heated home—and pool. Thunberg couldn’t fly around the world lecturing people on the evils of fossil fuels and the imminent and existential danger of global warming/climate change. Ocasio-Cortez wouldn’t be chauffeured around in SUV limos wearing chic apparel and accessories. We would not have had the medical breakthroughs, ease of travel, technical advances, and time-saving gadgetry that we do. Our lives would be poorer and harder in every way. And shorter. Fossil fuel companies are not destroying the planet. Period. So-called “progressive” activists are doing everything they can to sow doubt, fear and anger--- in short, destroy society.

Greta Thunberg could be the poster-child for Planned Parenthood. Asking her for parenting advice is like asking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about the Constitution or Michael Moore for dieting advice. No wonder why kids are so confused these days.

It is time parents stopped talking about feelings and started seeking the truth. Maybe if parents grow up, their children will, too,

Anti-Racist Day Care?

According to Campus Reform, Michelle DeJohnette, a San Diego Community College District adjunct faculty member, is now running an anti-racist day care facility. DeJohnette, who is currently completing a joint doctoral program in education at San Diego State University and Claremont Graduate University, is studying “critical theory, culturally responsible pedagogy, anti-bias/anti-racist education, and issues of equity in early childhood education, focusing on preschool.” She is currently applying her knowledge of critical race theory and equity by attempting to teach it to toddlers at Village Kids Family Child Care in San Diego, where she is the director. The day care service’s Twitter and Facebook pages both provide resources discussing anti-racism in preschool education.

Speaking of education, here is the definition of “pedagogy”: the theory and practice of learning.

And here is the definition of “equity”: justice according to natural law or right; specifically: freedom from bias or favoritism.

Village Kids Family Child Care (or VKFCC as noted on its website) accepts kids aged from infants to about five years old. The theory and practice of teaching toddlers “critical theory, culturally responsible pedagogy, anti-bias/anti-racist education, and issues of equity” in a sane world would be this: don’t do it. Why instruct kids to be hyper aware of their own-- and their peers-- skin color before they are able to tie their shoes? “Teaching” them that there are two kinds of people in this world, oppressors and the oppressed, is itself a form of opression. It is likely to hinder or prevent their minds from dwelling on kids’ things and therefore from developing properly over time. Natural law is an important concept, but one that shouldn’t be taught in this context or at this age level.

Critical race theory, intersectionality and all the other leftist dogmas are antithetical to the concept of natural law/rights. They are based on…and directly lead to…bias and favoritism.

“Progressives” can’t wait to teach their perversions of reality and morality to young children. They want all-encompassing sex education in early grade school. They want drag queens to read to your kindergartners. And they want to start preaching “social justice” and “critical race theory” in pre-school.

What’s next? Anti-racist pre-natal care? Planned Parenthood pre-abortion classes to teach your never-to-be-born baby about systemic racism and the white, patriarchal society they will never see?

“Before you terminate your fetus, teach it about intolerance and marginalization!”

Target Celebrating Its Own Destruction

Big business is so woke now, it not only is helping to sow the seeds of its own destruction, it is actually celebrating it. The very same Target store that was nearly demolished by looters and arsonists in Minneapolis last year recently put up a series of signs proclaiming that it proudly stands…with the looters and arsonists. The mural spans much of one side of the store’s exterior, and is comprised in part of three large signs, each sporting one word centered in a graphic. The first sign states “WE,” the second “STAND.” The third states “TOGETHER” amidst a background of what appears to be BLM rioters standing just outside a large burning building, fists raised in a triumphant Black Lives Matter gesture.

To say that a giant retail corporation openly touting a felony like arson is unusual would be an understatement, but company exulting in massive damage to one of its own outlets is, as far as I know, unprecedented. Target has, ironically and literally, made itself a target. Or, at the very least, agreed that it should be one.

The psychosis that has taken hold of many of our large corporations is the same one that has gripped many in the legacy media and entertainment fields. It has some similarities to the Wuhan Flu, in that it is a disease that was manufactured in academia and subsequently deliberately loosed on the country. The difference is that it was dribbled out of these “higher education” laboratories over the last few decades rather than being sent out all at once. Yet the damage it has caused has been far greater. Whereas roughly 98.5% of those under 70 years old recover from the coronavirus, a heartbreakingly high percentage of those afflicted by the Anti-American Derangement Syndrome (AADS) never recover. This loss of the ability to logically process information, separate truth from fiction, string a connected series of facts together to advance a cogent argument—in short to reason—is tragically detrimental not just to themselves, but to society as a whole.

Like several giant corporations, Target had a banner year in 2020 in spite of because of mandates and restrictions imposed on Americans by the government, purportedly necessary due to the pandemic. Unlike progressives, conservatives are often loath to boycott companies…because we have principals. But, even though we have a target on our backs, we do not have to carry Target on our backs. It is time these corporations stop patronizing us, and we stop patronizing them.

It is the only way to effect change, and the only chance to save this republic.

Together With Pride!

As we all know, June is Pride Month, and, in celebration, Kellogg’s is releasing a new heart-shaped cereal! The cereal, Together with Pride, was created in partnership with GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), is berry-flavored, and contains colorful pieces topped with (edible) glitter. In short, it’s fabulous! Yayyyyy!!!

The cereal is scheduled to appear on store shelves—nationwide-- in mid-May and will only be available for a limited time. The 7.8-ounce boxes have a suggestive suggested retail price of $3.99 and would be a bargain at twice the price! Better yet, Kellogg’s will donate $3 to GLAAD for every box sold/purchased. (Make certain to upload your receipt to “Kellogg’s Family Rewards” to guarantee your donation is processed.)

Kellogg’s released a statement saying, “The delicious new recipe features berry-flavored, rainbow hearts dusted with edible glitter. The cereal marks the latest chapter in a years-long partnership with GLAAD and is the evolution of the fan-favorite — All Together Cereal — which previously was only available online.”

Kellogg Wellbeing tweeted about the special-edition cereal, writing, “All are welcome to the breakfast table with our NEW Together with Pride cereal coming to shelves soon. For every box sold, Kellogg is donating $3 to @glaad to support the LGBTQ+ community @KelloggCompany”

Last year, Kellogg’s introduced a limited-edition variety pack of its popular breakfast cereals, previously referenced, called “All Together Cereal” in support of the pro-LGBTQ lobbying group GLAAD. The company has previously received various awards for “diversity” and “inclusion,” though its main competitor, Twin Cities based General Mills, is equally woke, having received the approval of several LGBTQ activist groups, including the “Human Rights Campaign.”

And remember, pride is great, if it’s the kind of Pride! that the LGBTQ community has, but not if it’s the kind of pride that, say, the Proud Boys possess!

Anyway, look for Kellogg’s—and General Mills—to introduce more inclusive cereals in the near future. I expect to see Kellogg’s introduce “Even Fruitier Loops ;),” “Raisin’ Cane Bran,” and “Porn Flakes” by the end of the year, while General Mills is rumored to be close to releasing “Flex,” “Totally Gay,” and “Queerios.” Moreover, Kellogg’s is said to be working on a cereal box saluting the polyamorous community, on which Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam, and Snap, Crackle and Pop are artfully and sensitively portrayed engaged in an uninhibited exhibition of “love is love.”

Because, after all, no matter one’s gender, orientation, kinks, belief system, or expression of intimacy, we must lovingly embrace them. Unless, obviously, “they” happen to be former President Trump-- or one of his supporters. Or a conservative Christian. Or a Republican. Or believe marriage is meant to be between one man and one woman. Or are against abortion. Or are for the Constitution and/or the Bill of Rights. But, other than that, tolerance and inclusion are the most vital and universal values that one must hold and exhibit.

              Together with pride!

Do We Have A Beef With Biden?

The Biden administration has been at great pains to dispel the crazy Republican notion that the Green New Deal and other policies the administration is touting would necessarily lead to a dramatic reduction in the amount of beef a person could consume. “Fact-checkers” throughout the media universe unanimously decried the notion as preposterous in the extreme.

This is itself somewhat disingenuous, as the Green New Deal does propose measures to dramatically reduce the environmental footprint left by cows and steers. It suggests that reducing bovine flatulence will be a giant step towards saving the planet, something that will necessarily include limiting the production of beef.

Amusingly, almost immediately after the supposedly bogus Republican stories claiming that tyrannical leftists want to limit your consumption of beef surfaced, Condé Nast's culinary magazine Epicurious announced that it will no longer publish beef recipes, proudly noting that it can’t, in good conscience, continue to give "airtime to one of the world's worst climate offenders." Epicurious tweeted, "Today we announced that Epicurious is cutting out beef. It won't appear in new Epi recipes, articles, newsletters, or on social. This isn't a vendetta against cows or people who eat them. It's a shift about sustainability; not anti-beef but pro-planet."

Which is utter and complete bullshit of course, speaking of bovinity. Here we see the specter of a progressive culinary magazine lying about virtue-signaling in its attempt to cancel cows. In direct contravention of Biden administration wishes, no less.

It would behoove those in the lamestream media and the Biden administration to tell the truth from time to time. But they just can’t bring themselves to do so.

We should all have a beef with that.

Employee Fired For Not Accepting COVID Vaccine

Samantha Wise, an Arkansas mother of five, recently told KARK-TV she was fired from her job at Harvest Cannabis Dispensary when her supervisors became aware that she wasn’t planning on getting injected with a COVID-19 vaccine. Wise told KARK, "They actually did it — they really fired me — I didn't think it was really going to happen. I knew most everybody's names that came in there. I liked making people's day. That's my main thing in life is to just make people smile."

She explained that she has a history of experiencing adverse reactions to medicines, saying, "I am always that one out of every 10 or so that has a bad reaction. I am that one — so I would just rather not. I don't have good reaction with a lot of medicine."

She added that she wished her now former employer would have allowed employees to make their own very personal decision as to whether or not to welcome one of the emergency vaccines into their bodies. Instead, they were forced to choose between the vaccine and their job.

Harvest Cannabis Dispensary issued the following oral statement to KARK confirming that the dispensary is requiring all employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination in order to protect customers: “So, like, dudes…we are just acting out of, like, the gnarliest concern for our fellow potheads’ health, you know? I mean, how righteous is that, right? He, he…he, he. Dude, weed is wonderful, but, like, COVID is a bummer. We’re not trying to harsh anybody’s mellow or bogart their free will, but, like, we mean, the coronavirus is worse than bad bong water. So, we’re not going off half-baked here…tee-hee, snicker…we just want to make sure that everyone gets the chance to get fried without worrying about getting sick.”*

              *****************************************************

*Actually, that isn’t exactly how the statement from Harvest Cannabis Dispensary to KARK read. This was the writer’s embellishment. The real statement simply confirmed that the organization was requiring employees to be vaccinated to protect its customers.

Soap Dispensers Are Racist!

A university student writing for thecollegefix.com, recently noted that he had attended an online debate during which automatic soap dispensers were cited as proof of systemic racism. One student claimed that the egregious cleanser-dispensing implements are racist because they force “black and brown bodies” to show their palms if they want to get soap. See the inherent racism? The student did, noting that Black and brown people’s palms are “the only light areas” of their skin. Coincidence or diabolical plot? Another young scholar took a different, nearly opposite, tack to arrive at the same conclusion. She claimed that the dispensers “don’t see her hands” due to the darker pigment of her skin.

Incredibly, the writer says that the majority of the more than 80 U.C.L.A. students virtually attending the discussion shared similar views about the marginalizing nature of automatic soap dispensers. The author further noted that the dispensers are actually triggered by an infrared light sensor, and that infrared light is emitted by all people, irrespective of color.

Arguably even crazier claims were put forth during the dialog, ranging from “White people fed Black babies to crocodiles,” to “I had a racist teacher who was racist because she asked me where I was from.” Talk about your conspiracy theories!

One has to laugh when hearing preposterous statements such as these, but it is terribly sad in the end. When an entire generation is urged to see systemic racism and white supremacy everywhere, that generation is condemned to a bitter, sad life of no great achievement. If you’re a person of color, why put out great effort if you can’t possibly succeed because the cards are stacked against you? If you’re not, you’re told that everything you have and anything you accomplish is entirely due to your “privilege,” whatever your actual circumstances. So, why pile on the guilt and self-loathing by continuing to strive and succeed?

On the one hand we punish success, while, on the other, we tell certain groups that nothing is their fault, they are not accountable in any way, that every negative outcome is solely the result of a society structured to benefit the white male Christian patriarchy. As Paul Harvey might have said, the results of such actions are too obvious to require elaboration. Or should be.

Louis Armstrong And MLK VS. BLM And Antifa

What A Wonderful World It Could Be: Louis Armstrong VS. BLM

I see trees of green

Red roses too

I see them bloom

For me and for you

And I think to myself

What a wonderful world

Or so sung Louis Armstrong over five decades ago. What a beautiful, life-affirming sentiment…from a beautiful, life-affirming man. For those of you who are young, Louis Armstrong was Black. Yet Louis, even back then in the turbulent ‘60s, was an ebullient person, filled not with a sense of victimhood and entitlement, but with a sense of wonder, appreciation, and gratitude. All of the things which lead to a life of happiness and contentment. So he sang.

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white

The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Compare these sentiments to what’s taught now. “Higher” education, the hate-America media, Big Tech, the heads of giant multi-national corporations, Hypocritical Hollywood, and the rest of the secretly self-hating but virtue-signaling effeminate elites in government and elsewhere virtually force all but the strongest, smartest and most independent of young people to despise their country, eschew religion, and mock the concepts of gender, traditional morality and knowable truth. Thus, todays so-called social justice warriors and BLM/Antifa types are attempting to destroy the nuclear family and the society that has all too tolerantly allowed them to riot in the streets virtually unchecked for almost a year now.

Neither they nor their elite puppet-masters give a rat’s ass about the staggering numbers of blacks killed by other blacks in Democrat-run major cities across the formerly United States. It is clear that, to them, All Black Lives Don’t Matter. In fact, “No Lives Matter” would be a better slogan and moniker.

So, instead of What A Wonderful World, they bellow:

I see whites are obscene

Black folks are screwed

Trans, gay, and pangender too

And I scream out to all

I hate you too

And think to myself

What an effed-up world

Which world view is closer to the truth? Which leads to happier and more productive lives? “Satchmo’s” or BLM’s?

What if we appreciated colors instead of letting ourselves be trapped and defined by them? What if we treated everyone equally before the law instead of allowing elites and thugs—whether individuals or giant corporations—to dictate outcomes? What if we all focused on our blessings rather than on our burdens? What if we took the words that Martin Luther King spoke-- and Louis Armstrong sung-- to heart, rather than mocking them with our actions? What a wonderful world it would be.

I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They'll learn much more
Than I'll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Ooh yeah

Snopes Fact Checks

Snopes Fact Checks

Unbiased and Trustworthy!

*President Biden said the coronavirus vaccine came about from his administration’s efforts.

Mostly true. Whereas he didn’t take office until well after the vaccines were available, he is on record as wishing there was one months ago. He apparently forgot he himself was vaccinated back in December while Trump-de-dump was still in office, but this is understandable, as he was very busy at this time, tirelessly toiling to figure out ways to erase the stain the previous administration left on the country…and the world.

*Former President Trump, speaking to CPAC, again claimed there was fraud in the past election, resulting in his loss.

Absolute. Effing. Bullsh*t. A million Pinocchios, as that august journal The Washington Post might say. These lies have been repeatedly debunked and are the sign of a disturbed, megalomaniacal individual. There is not a scintilla of evidence of wrongdoing, fraud, cheating, or anything other than the highest standards of ethical conduct surrounding the entire 2020 presidential election. Even Trump’s own Supreme Court repeatedly ruled that there was not a single instance of malfeasance to be found.

*John Kerry recently remarked to CBS News, "The scientists told us three years ago we had 12 years to avert the worst consequences of climate crisis. We are now three years gone, so we have nine years left.”

True. The science is settled. We would have had only nine years left…if our beatific Dear Leader, President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., hadn’t courageously recommitted the U.S. to the Paris Climate Accord.

*Trump, at a White House History Conference in 2020, stated: "The left has warped, distorted, and defiled the American story with deceptions, falsehoods, and lies.  There is no better example than the New York Times' totally discredited 1619 Project. This project rewrites American history to teach our children that we were founded on the principle of oppression, not freedom."

False, false, false! The disgraced ex-president’s remark is itself marked by deceptions, falsehoods, and lies, slandering the glorious Newspaper of Record in doing so. The Gray Lady is a beacon of truth in a biased world where brutish, radical, right-wing thugs and white supremacists reign supreme. The history of the United States as taught in this country before the 1619 Project and other recent advances in historical thought were introduced to its schools was a shameful mix of misogynistic, racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic crap. In short, a pack of lies. The plain, unvarnished truth is that all of the founders were domestic terrorists.

*House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently called the Capitol protest an “insurrection” and characterized House Republicans as the “the enemy within.”

Mostly true. Though none of the protesters were armed with guns, and only pro-Trump people were killed, including an unarmed female Air Force veteran who was shot in the head at close range, and no one tried to rest power away from Congresspeople…and no violent protests occurred anywhere else in the country…if the Democrats in Congress felt threatened, they were. Even the ones who weren’t in the Capitol building. Therefore, Speaker Pelosi was right to call Republicans “the enemy within.”

*Trump—again—calls various members of the mainstream (or legacy) media “fake news.”

Utterly, contemptibly FALSE. Trump is simply trying to sow division and doubt amongst the American people, by impugning the reporting—and motives—of the free and unbiased press that is the sole foundation of anything that has ever been good in America. Calling outlets such as CNN, the Washington Post—and Snopes, we might add—“fake news” is itself “fake news.” But, sadly, this is what we’ve come to expect from the portly Russian agent provocateur, who has time and again proven himself incapable of objectivity.

                                                    [End]
