Kavanaugh Confirmed

                Our long national nightmare is finally over.

                Or is it?

                Though Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed as the next Supreme Court Justice, Democrats are threatening to impeach him if they take back Congress in the upcoming elections. Can they do this? If so, how might they try?

                A member of SCOTUS can, theoretically, be impeached-- in the manner of any other civil office holder-- but for treason, criminality while in office, or other “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Not for the slight possibility that they attempted to “cop a feel” of a girl, over her clothes, at a party 36 years ago. If the majority of the House of Representatives votes to impeach, at least two-thirds of the Senate must vote to convict. This seems a virtual impossibility at this point, but, remember that the Democrats have already managed to throw out due process, abort the presumption of innocence, and impeach logic, reason, decency and dignity…in this very matter, as in nearly all others.

                Consider the all-out assault against men in general, and (“toxic!”) masculinity in particular, on the part of the left. Wouldn’t it be much better for all if powerful, straight, white males could show their sensitive and vulnerable sides, they say? Yet, after then nominee Kavanaugh had been baselessly slandered, and his family dragged through the swamp mud, they blasted him anew for showing his emotion and shedding a tear during his testimony. “What’s wrong with him?!” they cried. “Why, he doesn’t have the temperament to sit on the Supreme Court!”

                There is no dirty trick the left won’t play, no one they won’t destroy, no institution they won’t take down. In their quest to obtain—or retain—power, there is literally nothing they won’t do…including destroying the nation they supposedly “serve.”

                But for a Lindsey Graham and a Ted Cruz here, and a Susan Collins there, the Scene from a Banana Republic would’ve just played on. In fact, based on the left’s threats, it still might. Far too many Republicans were content to sit on their hands and utter pretty banalities while Rome was burning.

   The Democrats are replacing the rule of law with mob rule. Many on the left are chasing those with whom they disagree out of restaurants or cornering them in elevators. They are destroying others’ property. They do not like to lose. Their temper-tantrums can be deadly. They are promising ever-increasing confrontation.

  Conservatives may think they’ve scored a great victory, but they must prepare to be assaulted—literally in many cases—for the foreseeable future.

 Buckle up, all ye Patriots.

 The fight has just begun.
