The New Jacobins

Communist and socialist activists proposed a spate of communist and socialist policies at a recent rally in Minneapolis, including a 20-hour workweek (with 40-hours of pay!), rent caps, massive redistribution of wealth, confiscation of wealth, and even seizure of private property and the means of production. The proposals were outlined in interviews that Fox News Digital conducted during the demonstration. It is not surprising that the rally took place in Minneapolis in the State of Loons. Ultra-radical gypsies, tramps, and thieves-- and the other far-left groups-- are getting ever bolder and more prominent in what used to be garden-variety liberal protests. Much as Muslim protests have become more prevalent and aggressive. These are both indicative of an ever-deepening ignorance of history and economics plaguing the fruited plane, and of a profound diminution of the Judeo-Christian work ethic along with a dramatic rise in entitlement. The country is being rotted out from within. An almost inexhaustible and misplaced tolerance and an advanced case of suicidal empathy are preventing the nation as a whole from fighting back.

Communism has never worked anywhere at any time, though it has succeeded in killing more people than any other ideology in a relatively short time frame. With far fewer people working far fewer hours and the dramatic resultant decrease of wages and therefore tax revenue, where is the money to pay people for working less going to come from? Is it, to paraphrase Kamala Harris, going to fall out of a coconut tree? The Commies answer is, of course, “from the rich.” But, subjected to socialist and communist policies, the rich move to a place that doesn’t employ socialist or communist policies to punish them. At which point the socialist and communist run entities are doomed. Of course, there is also the matter of individual rights and morality. Government seizing private property because it can and wants to give your money and stuff to others, often meaning them, is wildly immoral and should always be criminal.

These clueless, ignorant asshats were spewing radical Leftist bilge such as, “Billionaires are the parasites of society.” Yeah, right. These pathetic entitled clowns wouldn’t set foot in a factory or mine, let alone work in one. Most of them look like they still live in their parent’s basement. Think they are willing to take the risks of starting or owning a company? Are they well-versed in business plans, capital acquisition and allocation, overhead, insurance and risk management, OSHA requirements, research and development, legal counsel, accounting, public relations, advertising and marketing, etc., etc. They have all that nailed down tight?

Ever wonder why communism has never worked anywhere it’s been tried in the history of the world, whether in the largest and most resource dense nations or the smallest and least blessed? The one constant is privation, misery, and the death of those who have the temerity to question the leaders of these People’s Paradises.

Yet, Andy Koch, a member of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and a rally-goer, railed against the rich, disgustedly stating, "The country is run by billionaires for billionaires.” However, when asked about reports that some protest groups have received support from wealthy donors, Koch said he would welcome such funding, gleefully adding, "If one billionaire wants to donate to progressive pro-worker causes, that’s great.” The communist “workers of the world” appear united in that they aren’t very fond of work. But still demand to be highly compensated, anyway.

Unwittingly or not, Leftist morons are zealously sowing the seeds of their own destruction. And everyone else’s. Do we forgive them, for they know not what they do, or do we trash them at every opportunity? In any case, we cannot let them prevail.

Many people still feel it is better to be dead than red, because it is better to perish than live as slaves. Most of them live under Communism. Nick Shirley’s recent sojourn to Cuba makes that clear.
