The state of California recently seized a
Christian woman’s teenage daughter because the girl’s mother opposed her sudden
desire to embark on a “gender transition.” And now Newsom’s Golden State is
seeking to put the girl up for adoption. Talk about government overreach.
“Heinous” and “chilling” don’t begin to describe this. Does the state’s
government claim to have “eminent domain” over parents’ offspring? What would
the Founders have said-- and done—about such an outrage? How the hell is
this even possible in the Land of the Free? No government, state or
federal, should be in the business of abducting children. This should
not be a controversial opinion.
In a related story, the Colorado Supreme Court
recently ordered the Children’s Hospitable Colorado (CHC) to resume “gender transitions” for minors, thumbing its nose at the Trump administration’s
threats to cut off federal funds to medical institutions that subject children
to the dangerous and often irreversible procedures. The state’s Supreme Court
ordered/demanded/mandated that the hospital resume administering horrific
hormone “treatments” to youngsters—and promptly recommence genitally mutilating
them. Is the alteration of children’s genitalia really the purview of state
Supreme Courts, especially in the affirmative? How the hell is this even possible
in the U.S.?
And then there is alleged pronatalist Simone
Collins, who, during a recent panel discussion on something ironically called
the Modern Wisdom podcast,
gave a full-throated endorsement of euthanasia. This position seems odd for
someone who is ostensibly pro-birth and anti-declining populations due to
aging. Yet Collins stated, “I want people to be happy. I believe, for example,
in euthanasia. I love euthanasia.”
She loves euthanasia? Does euthanasia make people happy…other than
Collins? It apparently makes Collins happy, if not actually orgasmic, as she
went on to say that euthanasia is “beautiful,” and that MAID (Medical
Assistance In Dying) “is the smartest thing Canada ever did, and that’s going
to be the solution to healthcare in the future.” Killing people is the
long-term solution to healthcare? I guess if we “off” enough people healthcare
costs would eventually come down. Seems kind of macabre if you ask me. Collins
then topped herself, saying, “let the ones who lack meaning get out of the way.”
So, anyone who currently is searching for meaning in life should be whacked?
That doesn’t seem all that tolerant, welcoming, or inclusive. How is this
even possible?
In a related story, the Colorado legislature
recently sent legislation to Democrat Gov. Jared Polis that would mandate
that universities in the state offer abortion pills
on their campuses, regardless of whether they are publicly or privately funded
institutions. Because what higher educational mission can there be than making
sure students can abort any life they may have inadvertently created, without consequence?
Talk about a “life lesson!” How the hell is this even possible?
Part II to follow in the coming days.
