Speaker Pelosi Marks "Somber" Impeachment Moment With Commemorative Pens

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi repeated how “somber” a moment it was prior to the House delivering the articles of impeachment to the Senate recently. Yet, in a ceremony gleefully covered live by CNN, Pelosi signed the articles against President Trump while smiling smugly…and then, incredibly, proceeded to hand out pens commemorating the occasion to her fellow Democrats. If pens marking the occasion were to be handed out, it should have been done in private, not on live television. Thankfully, since the ceremony was broadcast by CNN, almost no one saw this classless act, save for those poor souls stuck in airports.
Elizabeth Harrington, GOP National Spokesperson, posted a video of Pelosi’s pen proffering and noted that pens are typically handed out for accomplishments, such as Trump’s signing a trade deal with China. She added, “So it’s fitting that Democrats are handing out pens for their sole accomplishment: impeachment.”
A presidential impeachment should not be a celebratory affair, yet it wouldn’t have surprised me if Speaker Pelosi had shaken hands with her impeachment managers while wearing a joy-buzzer and passing out Cuban cigars. I’m sure commemorative hats, tee-shirts and coasters are on order, too.
I wouldn’t put it past these Democrats to engage in literally any behavior, so addled and besotted are they with Trump Derangement Syndrome. If, God forbid, he was assassinated, would they pass around miniature commemorative caskets?
