Men's Sperm Counts Plummeting In Secular West

                Sperm counts among Western men have dramatically declined in the past 40 years, plunging to record lows, new research reveals. Dr. Hagai Levine and Dr. Shanna H. Swan, from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, screened 185 studies of men’s reproductive health that took place between 1973 and 2011, and found that men’s sperm levels have dropped by more than 50% in that period. And the decline shows no signs of slowing down.

                In lockstep with Western civilization itself.

                Dr. Swan stated: “Decreasing sperm count has been of great concern since it was first reported 25 years ago. This shows the decline is strong and continuing.” The study, published in the Human Reproduction Update, found no significant decline in sperm count in males from South America, Asia and Africa.  

                The assessment, analyzing results from many thousands of men, showed that the rate of decline is increasing, leading Dr. Levine, an epidemiologist, to say that he was “very worried” about what might happen in the future. In fact, he told the BBC that if the trend continued, humans would become extinct.

                This should be a big story.

                The study did not examine causes of the collapse, but scientists seem to believe it may have something to do with the amount of chemicals used in everyday products, and are therefore placing the blame on industry and farming. “The fact that the decline is seen in Western countries strongly suggests that chemicals in commerce are playing a causal role in this trend,” Levine said. He added, “Eventually we may have a problem, and with reproduction in general, and it may be the extinction of the human species.”

                Dang. But what really matters is that we keep fully funding Planned Parenthood.

                It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist- or any type of scientist- to divine why this crash is occurring. Masculinity is being marginalized, mocked and demeaned on all fronts. Men are routinely made to look like fools on television shows, in commercials, and in movies. Government policies marginalize men, pushing them away from any type of commitment, let alone marriage. Men often have little say in reproductive decisions. In many cases in recent years, women can get more benefits for having additional children…if they aren’t married, yet married couples face a tax penalty. More women than men attend college now…where male students are firmly counseled against exhibiting any and all types of masculine behavior.

                Traditionally male occupations are under attack. Football and hockey are now considered by many to be too physical and dangerous. The police are everywhere literally and figuratively under assault. Men are made to feel ashamed as women have been empowered. Men have been feminized as well as infantilized. There is no need for this.

                We’ve transitioned from men working on farms and hunting and fishing…to the age of the “metrosexual.” Now, even that is passé. We are entering an era of transgenders and non-genders. Men are less manly. Women used to like “the strong and silent type.” Now many men are of the “weak and chatty” variety. These are the reasons sperm counts are declining so rapidly.

Ironically (there’s that word again), most women still crave a masculine man, as is proven by the staggering number of Fifty Shades of Gray style romance-series novels out there, many of which are best-sellers. They often want men to be in charge, mentally and physically, yet, in large part because of the feminist movement they’ve led, applauded, bought into, or tolerated, this is less and less often the case.

It used to be said that “a good man was hard to find.” Some women lasciviously modified the cliché to read: “A hard man is good to find.” Someday soon, a hard man will be impossible to find.  

John Donne wrote a book titled, “No man is an island.” If progressives have their way, no man will be a man, either.

After his dismissal as Commander-In-Chief of United Nations forces in Korea in April, 1951, General Douglas Macarthur told Congress- and the Western world: “I now close my military career and just…fade away.” Eventually, Western man will just fade away as well, and with him Western civilization.

And unlike Macarthur in World War II, we will not return.
