The military forces of the United States were once-
unquestionably- the world’s finest. That
military defeated the greatest world power in the history of the planet to that
time in order to gain its country’s independence. It went overseas and won
World War I and II by defeating the Kaiser, Hitler, Stalin, Tojo, and
Mussolini, thereby defeating hyper-nationalism, fascism, communism, and rule by
arrogant dictatorship all nearly simultaneously.
That
nation’s armed forces went on to make it possible for millions of people around
the world to throw off the shackles of bondage and servitude. It also was a
major factor in the U.S. winning the Cold War…without a shot being fired.
How
stands that once proud and indefatigable force today, after seven plus years of
Obama as Commander-in-Chief? After all, it is needed today- perhaps as never
before- what with the proliferation of Islamic terrorism, the re-rise of
Russian aggression, the prospect of a nuclear North Korea and Iran, etc., etc.,
etc.
In light
of these threats, the Obama administration has given the Pentagon a clear
mandate to…make sure that trans-gender military members are allowed to don
whatever sex’s underwear they prefer and be allowed to excrete together in the
same confined quarters. Screw the big geo-political picture, let’s make sure
we’ve addressed the existential threat of gender-specific uniforms! Let’s talk
about grooming rules and bathroom access!
What
happened to the concept of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in this case? I mean, unless the boys are demanding to march in
evening gowns or go to combat in Daisy Duke shorts and a halter top, who the
Hell cares?
