Climate Change Scientists Ironically Using Religion To Convert Skeptics, Deniers

The Associated Press reports that climate change activists really have turned to religion to make their case. Veerabhadan Ramanathan, a Scripps Institution of Oceanography scientist and (non-Catholic) advisor to Pope Francis on climate, recounted a “revelation” he had around four years ago whilst presenting a paper at the Pontifical Academy. He recalls that after presenting this (allegedly) fact-laden paper, the chancellor of the Academy, a bishop, stated “If we want justice and peace, we must protect the habitat that sustains us.” It was then he realized how to present his case.
Marcia McNutt, former U.S. Geological Survey Director, Science magazine editor and future head of the U.S. Academy of Sciences, added, “You can argue the science until cows come home, but that just appeals to people’s intellect. The pope’s argument appeals to someone’s heart. Whenever you appeal to someone’s heart that’s a much more powerful message.”
Ramanathan, who actually gave the Pope his primer in a parking lot, went on to state that, in some ways, the enlisting of the faith movement is a sign of scientists' desperation, but is also a realization of the need for a ‘moral revolution’ on climate.

There you have it. Climate change is not just a religion to these otherwise skeptical scientists, but a supra-religious dogma that must be inculcated into every mind on the face of the earth. “Forget separation of church and state," they are bellowing, "let us- in covenant- bring the full power of the state, church and science to bear upon the Deniers,  heathens,  and infidels… imbeciles all!”
The world will not act enough on climate change, Ramanathan said, "until we teach this in every church, every mosque, every synagogue, every temple.”

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Bans Phrase, "Political Correctness"

News of the weird recently reported that the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s website added the phrase “political correctness” itself to the ever-expanding list of words and phrases that are now officially discouraged from being used on campus. Apparently, that term is a “microaggression” that could make some students feel uncomfortable or even “unsafe” if they hear it or read it.
Surprisingly, perhaps, to those who read this blog on a regular basis, I hereby suggest we add a few more words and phrases to that list:
*”climate change”- every time I hear that meaningless phrase I want to puke. When has the climate not changed? Hell, it’s 3 degrees colder as I write this than it was an hour ago. Also, it wasn’t dark then. It is now. Scary.
*”expert(s)”- the person or people that is/are nearly always wrong in their predictions/analysis about virtually everything; I get irritable bowel syndrome upon hearing or reading this word. (Experts ‘projected’ my fantasy football team to win this weekend and I lost in a rout).
*”right-wing extremist”- mainstream academic and media types use this phrase to describe anyone who isn’t an ardent communist willing to personally conduct taxpayer-subsidized late-term abortions on all white male ‘fetuses.’ Conversely, to earn the mainstream media designation of “left-leaning,” an entity has to believe that anyone fire-bombing Chick-fil-A’s and Hobby Lobby’s is protected by their First Amendment rights, that there are no Second Amendment rights, and that raising the top marginal income tax rates to 90% in order to screw the rich and fund the push for legalizing man-beast marriage  are the most pressing policy matters of our time. After climate change is thoroughly addressed, of course.
*”violence begets violence”- no, the absolute belief in passivity and non-violence begets violence, as has been historically proven- virtually without exception- over the millennia. The refusal to believe that evil exists and that we’re deep down all the same- and therefore that we can simply and logically resolve our differences by talking them through, or solely via good deeds, has ironically led to more needless loss of innocent human life than any other tenet. Conversely, war has put an end to slavery, communism, national-socialism (Hitler’s Third Reich), the Holocaust, murderous regimes practicing heinous crimes on the masses, and led to the freedom of millions of souls around the world.

Immigrants Carry "Open Or Die" Banner

A picture on Infowars.com, taken of relatively well-dressed Muslim migrants at the Macedonian border, shows the mass of young male humanity holding a banner that states, “Open or Die.” Some of the hopeful immigrants proceeded to attack police with stones and stated, “We want to Germany! Open the borders!”
According to Speisa.com, a number of them chanted, “Allahu Akbar,” as well.
This is the first mass, unopposed, invasion in world history. Perhaps the “Open or Die” banner should give leftists pause, though you know it won’t. It is unimaginable- ludicrous in the extreme- to picture earlier waves of immigrants being so demanding- boldly aggressive and hostile even- in their attempts to seek refuge. Those appearing at Ellis Island, for example, sought an opportunity, not a handout. They wished to assimilate, not dominate. They were filled with gratitude, not hatred or disdain. They wanted to give back to the society that took them in, not attack it. They wanted a chance at the good life and the American Dream, not a chance to take innocent lives and the dreams of those they killed. They may have been devout, but they longed for religious freedom, not for the ability to impose their religion on others…or else.
These immigrants, though diverse in many ways, came to America mostly from Christian countries in Europe. It is impolitic to state the obvious in these times, but the unyielding tide of immigrants from the Middle East and Africa into Europe and America today couldn’t be more different. Some are good people. Some are not. At best, many come from countries that have no tradition of self-rule or democratic principles. None of them hail from nations with a substantive belief in natural law. And some of them are actively seeking our destruction.

An effective screening measure would be to automatically refuse amnesty to any (potential) immigrant supporting or sporting an “Open or Die” banner/sign.

Current Events And The Politics Of Gun Control

President Obama again wants to use the latest terror attacks, this time in San Bernardino, California, to weaken the Second Amendment. You can be sure that, if he thought he could get away with it, he would do away with the most vital of Amendment’s by executive fiat/decree. Some in the mainstream media have said that guns are the one constant in all the recent terror attacks, but that is patently untrue.
The one constant is Islam. Radical Islamists using car-bombs, I.E.D.’s, machine guns, pipe-bombs... or knives and machetes for their signature beheadings.
Look at the history of American gun ownership. When nearly everyone was armed in our formative years….there were no mass shootings of innocents, other than at Lexington and Concord. We could not have won the Revolutionary War and thrown off tyrannical government if nearly every able-bodied male didn’t own a firearm. Period. One had to have a firearm to protect oneself and one’s family from wild animals and others who would do them harm, as well as to put food on the table, of course. In frontier times and on into the early twentieth century in rural areas, some kids brought their guns to school! That’s a fact.  The result? No school shootings, no terrorism.
In more modern times, the enacting of conceal-carry laws in some states has had a dramatic affect on crime, just not the affect that liberals- predictably- predicted.
In 1993, there were seven homicides by firearm for every 100,000 Americans. By 2013, that figure had fallen by nearly half, to 3.6 per 100,000. This decline directly correlated with an enormous increase in privately owned firearms over the same period of time and the related increase in the granting of concealed-carry permits to law-abiding citizens.
Liberals are always keen to know why people do bad things or why bad things “happen.” In this case, there are reasons. (Liberals default position is that anyone who is successful or makes money or is in any way in a majority is the reason for others committing terroristic, evil acts. This couldn’t be farther from the truth).
These horrible atrocities are occurring so frequently now because of, 1) the rise of radical Islam, 2) the rapid coarsening of our culture, with violence and depravity as entertainment pervading our television and movies, internet and video ‘games,’ 3) the similarly rapid decline in the numbers of those who are practicing Christianity and 4) the feminization and infantilization of our culture, leading to large numbers of people who no longer even believe in fighting for their own cultures' survival, and are willing to accommodate evil, if by doing so the heady light of intellectual and moral martyrdom shines  upon them.

Woman Stabbed At Art Basel, Miami Show

A woman was stabbed in the neck and arms by another woman wielding an X-Acto knife at an Art Basel, Miami Beach show Friday night, according to a Miami Beach police spokeswoman. The spokeswoman stated that the victim’s injuries weren’t life threatening and that she was transported to Jackson (Andrew?!) Memorial Hospital. The assailant and victim apparently had an escalating disagreement prior to the assault. The attacker was not identified, but was arrested at the scene.
Both women were patrons of the art show, not exhibitors, and were attending the main event inside the Miami Beach Convention Center.
In a sad reflection of where ‘modern art’ has gone, some patrons thought the stabbing was a performance art presentation. Others actually believed the police tape cordoning off the crime scene was part of an art installation.
How do we know the whole thing, including the news reports and police statements, isn’t, in fact, a brilliant, unprecedented, ongoing piece of modern performance art?

On a related note, President Obama promptly called for a ban on “the sale and manufacture of all knives, box-cutters and general cutlery, effective immediately.”

"Trumbo," The Movie

Dalton Trumbo was one of the “Hollywood Ten.” He was an ardent communist, loved Joseph Stalin, and was a stout defender of Adolph Hitler, as well, prior to Hitler breaking the German-Russian Non-Aggression Pact. After World War II, Trumbo sang the praises of Korea’s Kim Il Sung, who would infamously go on to establish what today is arguably the vilest state on the planet, North Korea.
This resume, of course, makes him a darling of the left, and Hollywood has dutifully canonized him in the recently released movie “Trumbo,” at the same time as they have savagely attacked his critics. Incredibly, the University of Colorado has a “Dalton Trumbo Fountain Court,” replete with a plaque that states, “CU Student, Distinguished Film Writer, Lifelong Advocate of the First Amendment.”
The plaque’s sentiments are 180 degrees from accurate. He propagated and served an ideology that killed tens of millions of human beings and enslaved hundreds of millions more.

In an era when leftist students and academics are demanding that the names of American founders be removed from campus buildings and party dinners and that potentially offensive sports team names are abandoned and/or changed, it is sadly illustrative that no one is calling for the fountain court on the Colorado campus to be renamed or for the movie “Trumbo” to be banned or boycotted.

San Bernardino Terror Attack Causes Attorney General Lynch To Fret About...Free Speech

The day after the heinous terrorist attacks in San Bernardino, California, United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch promised a group of Muslim activists that she would take aggressive action against anyone who used "anti-Muslim rhetoric" that "edges toward violence."
Speaking at the Muslim Advocate's 10th anniversary dinner Thursday, Lynch said her "greatest fear" is the "incredibly disturbing rise of anti-Muslim rhetoric" in America and vowed to prosecute any party guilty of what she deemed violence-inspiring speech.
We would be far better off if Loretta Lynn was Attorney General.
What we really need is far fewer Muslims taking “aggressive action.” Her “greatest fear” should be the “incredibly disturbing rise of anti-'infidel' killings,” beheadings and other violence being visited on the world by radical Muslim’s and their advocates.

Terrorists continue to attack and kill people with impunity around the globe, while demented liberals attack…free speech.

Gun Control Vs. The Second Amendment

Guns in the control of decent people: good. Guns in the control of terrorists: bad.

We need more guns in the hands of decent, law-abiding citizens to help prevent (or end) tragedies like the one that transpired two days ago in San Bernardino. Gun control laws, obviously, by definition, do nothing to deter criminals from acquiring guns…as they don’t obey laws, but can result in decent people having fewer guns, or at least being unable to carry them. That is the crux of the matter. Why do you think nearly all of these attacks occur in schools, recruitment centers, care facilities, theaters, etc.? Because they are all “gun-free zones,” where concealed carry isn’t allowed. (Is it easier to “take candy from a baby,” or from a middle-linebacker?). The founders, through their belief in natural law, have enshrined and codified for us the most fundamental right of all…the right to protect ourselves, via the Second Amendment. When someone claims the authority to take that right away from you, it should make you think long and hard about their motive for doing so. Hint: it isn’t really guns or your safety they are concerned about. It has to do with control, power, ego, image, and elections.

If the President actually believed the demonstrably preposterous notion that fewer guns lead to less violent crime, why would he have an armed Secret Service protecting him 24/7?

San Bernardino, CA., Terror Attacks

A husband-wife terror team killed 14 people and injured 21 more in an attack on San Bernardino County’s public health department yesterday. The Inland Regional Center was in the midst of a holiday celebration when Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, carried out the attack. Farook worked at the facility for the past five years and was known to be a devout Muslim. Co-workers, including Christian Nwadike, said that Farook rarely started a conversation but was well liked. He had visited Saudi Arabia this past summer and may have been “radicalized” sources said.
Police finally stopped the killing- and the killers- when they shot the terrorists, apparently prompting President Obama to say that “gun-control may deter terrorists.” Yes, in much the same way that disarming ourselves and appeasing aggression worked so well in preventing World War II. The President also held out hope that it may have been an instance of work place violence, or “mixed-motives.”

The suspects wore black tactical vests during the attack and police found 5,000 bullets, 12 pipe bombs and tools for fashioning IED’s at their residence. Yep, just another spontaneous case of that old workplace violence popping up! What employee, perhaps offended by something someone said, and at the end of his or her rope, doesn't don a bullet proof vest, a few guns, and a pipe bomb or three and attempt to wipe out his or her co-workers?

President Obama: "Could Be Workplace Violence"

President Obama said today that “it’s possible World War II was related to German and Japanese aggression, but it’s also possible that it was related to workplace violence.”
