 *A recent study found a significantly higher risk of suicide attempts and self-harm among individuals who have undergone gender transition surgeries. Remarkably, the study, published in April, found that individuals who had undergone gender transition surgery had a 12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who had not. The study was conducted using data from 90 million U.S. patients between the ages of 18 and 60. My take? “Medical professionals” who recommend these surgeries should, henceforth, be charged with attempted murder. Similarly, the “educators” and others who encourage or go along with the surgeries should be charged with aiding and abetting. (The American Academy of Pediatrics reaffirmed its support of gender transition for minors late last year. Regardless, more than 20 states have either outlawed gender transition surgeries for minors or issued restrictions on hormonal gender transition “therapies.”
