Politico, a popular left-leaning news website, reported that many Democrats, including a former Obama White House official, are “dreading” the possibility of a quick economic turnaround as the U.S. begins to reopen. This is further proof, to the extent it is needed, of why so many oh-so-compassionate Democratic governors continue to extend their lockdowns, which have thus far resulted in 40 million unemployed Americans.
Politico’s headline: “The general election scenario that Democrats are dreading.”
Jason Furman, a former economic
adviser to Barack Obama recently opined to a gathering of politicians: “We are
about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country.”
Politico reported that Furman “laid out a detailed case for why the months
preceding the November election could offer Trump the chance to
brag—truthfully—about the most explosive monthly employment numbers and GDP
growth ever.” I disagree, as some of the economic devastation tyrannical
governors have wrought will be permanent. Many restaurants, movie houses and
small businesses will never reopen. Moreover, much of the work force has been
corrupted and seduced by unemployment compensation greater than the wages they
were making while employed. Many do not fully realize that the gravy train
cannot continue forever. One thing is certain: Trump has been the victim of
more foul play than any president in U.S. history. After the Russia Hoax and
the effects of the Chinese Virus, fake news and the leftist sanctioned and
supported riots in nearly all large American cities, it would only be fair if
he could benefit from a swift and deep economic turnaround.
If you have been living on another
planet for the past few years and are not yet convinced the Democrats hate Trump
far more than they love their country, consider this: many Democrats,
particularly Obama alumni, are panicked over the thought of a strong economic
upturn. Politico reported that one former Obama White House official, who is
still close to the ex-president, admitted
the idea of a turnaround “is my big
worry.” He also characterized the level of concern among top Democratic
officials as “high, high, high, high.”
That’s great guys. Screw the
people. F**k the 40 million unemployed and their families. This reveals
them for what they are and also proves how isolated they are from the repercussions
of their own policies.
Can anyone seriously imagine
Republicans prior to World War II “dreading” the idea of the nation coming out
of the Great Depression? Might get FDR elected again. Can’t have that.
Priorities! For that matter, maybe they were secretly hoping we wouldn’t win
the war so as not to make the Democrats look good.
The modern day Democratic Party is
anti-baby, anti-Christian, anti-American…and anti-reason.
