Legalizing Pot, Criminalizing Thought

                Nearly everything that used to be considered unhealthy or taboo has recently been- or is now being- legalized. Marijuana, even for “recreational” use, is now available in more and more municipalities. Liquor stores are now open on Sunday. Hell, California is seriously considering legalizing the use of psychedelic mushrooms. (What could go wrong?).

                Things not even conceivable literally a few short years ago have been institutionalized. Gay marriage is the law of the land. One can use any public bathroom one feel’s like using at any moment. Locker room, too, in many instances. Illegal immigrants are welcomed with open arms by numerous sanctuary cities, counties, and states. And are given special benefits and protections.

                Some churches have turned away from using “gendered pronouns” when referring to God, or The Lord. Are we somehow now not quite sure Jesus was male?

                The first generation of expensive “sex-bots” are selling like proverbial hot-cakes. Factories are working around the clock to keep up with demand. There are those who already talk of marrying one of these A.I. dolls. Who can doubt that calls for the legalization of polyamory, bestiality and incest are just around the corner?

                There is, however, one thing that is being criminalized. Freedom of speech, specifically conservative thought and talk. If one dares to stand up for that most essential American freedom on any college campus or in many big businesses, among other places, they risk demotion, dismissal, slander, threat, and even actual violence. College kids across the increasingly fruity plane are demanding to ban free speech if conflicts with how they “feel.” But there would be no reason to protect speech with which everyone agrees. The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States would be moot. (The Second Amendment, also under attack, would be less necessary, as well, for that matter).

                Everyone has presumably heard of ethnic cleansing, the final stage of which is the replacement of the old population with a new one. It is no exaggeration to state that the Left in the U.S. is desperately engaged in an attempt at ideological cleansing. It wishes to replace conservatives with those more amenable to big government, more amenable to aiding and abetting the Leftists’ cause. More amenable to keeping them in power and granting them ever more control over other’s lives.

That is the real reason progressives want to erase American history, dispense with anything smacking of tradition, break down and reimagine the nuclear family, legalize drugs and abhorrent behavior, etc., etc., etc. They want to guarantee that only their own beliefs and fetishes are allowed going “forward.”

As with Hitler’s Reich and the Soviet Union, Mao Zedong or Pol Pot, this is about one thing- and one thing only- in the final analysis: power. 

History shows this doesn’t typically end well. Unless conservatives find a spine, it won’t here in the U.S., either.
