Students at various schools around the Fruited Plain were not allowed to watch the inauguration
of (then) President-elect Donald Trump. According to Fox News, the principal of
one such bastion of learning, Independence High School in Tennessee, told a
student’s parent that “news happens every day in this country” and that they
wouldn’t be “stopping class to watch the news.” Well, then. The student herself
found that odd though, considering the fact that they watched the last two presidential inaugurations in the school.
Meanwhile,
fourth grade students at Explorer Elementary School in Michigan were also
prevented from experiencing the Big Event, due to a teacher’s concern over “Mr.
Trump’s casual use of profanity.” The teacher stated that he would not want to
expose the kids to language that “would not appear in G or PG-rated movies.”
What
the hell does he think Trump was going to say at his swearing-in or in his inaugural
address?
Justice Roberts: “Do you solemnly swear that you will
faithfully execute the office of President of the United States…?”
President-elect Trump: “F**kin’ right, I do!”
Were we
ever seriously in danger of Trump tweaking the 35 words from Article II,
Section I, of the Constitution? Is it humanly possible to ad-lib them?
“I do
solemnly swear- giggle- that I will
f**&%! faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and
will to the best of my bleepin’ ability, preserve, protect and defend the m***erf---$#g
Constitution of the United States.” Now
that would really be an oath of office!
No, the
actual reason that these “educators” prevented their students from watching the
inauguration is because their candidate lost. And because they could.
Of
course, when their candidate wins,
they tell the loser “So sorry! Just deal with it!” What would they have said if
Hillary had won, and some schools/teachers didn’t let their charges watch her inauguration? I think we all know
the answer to that question. They would’ve cried “sexism!” and “intolerance”
and branded those responsible as “misogynists,” and “history haters.”
