Iranian Defense Minister Warns Trump Could Start World War

The Iranian defense minister recently warned the planet that Donald Trump could trigger a world war and the “destruction” of Israel if he provokes the great Middle Eastern power.
This is akin to Japan warning the Earth’s citizens on December 6th, 1941, that Franklin Roosevelt could trigger a world war and the destruction of Hawaii if he provoked the Empire of Japan.
It is not Donald Trump that has repeatedly vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Trump hasn’t vowed to wipe Iran off the face of the Earth, or even referred to it as “the Great Satan.” Trump is merely considering pulling the U.S. out of the unconscionably bad nuclear pact that Barack Hussein Obama signed last year, an agreement that is unconstitutional, in violation of international law and based on commitments President Obama could not lawfully make.
The President executed the deal as an executive agreement, not as a treaty, as virtually all significant international obligations involving the United States have been established previously. Treaties require Senate consent by a two-thirds majority, the very reason Obama wanted to impose the deal via executive fiat. The president is- demonstrably- not a fan of the Constitution…or of checks and balances.
Iran has already repeatedly and brazenly broken the terms of the deal, a raw deal for America that will almost certainly lead to Iran producing a viable nuclear weapon in the near future. Trump is less likely than many presidents to embark on an adventurous foreign policy, and this combined with his desire to rebuild the American military will make avoidable conflicts much less likely, not more so. Iran’s apparent fear of the U.S. backing out of the deal should make it clear how valuable it is to them…and how one-sided it is…in their favor.
The only sensible foreign policy is to stand stoutly with our friends and make it inconceivable for our adversaries- potential or here and now- to test our resolve.
