Pantone Announces Its "Color Of The Year"

This just in: according to Fox News, Pantone has officially crowned PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz as its 2024 Color of the Year!

In a press release, the New Jersey company characterized the shade as a "velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul.” Pantone added that the color is a “warm and cozy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others and the feeling of sanctuary this creates; PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz presents a fresh approach to a new softness.”

But that’s not all! The company also wanted everybody to know that its COTY is "subtly sensual,” and “a heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of tenderness and communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration."

And even that was not enough. Pantone was compelled to opine that during this "time of turmoil in many aspects of our lives," the need for "nurturing, empathy and compassion grows ever stronger, as does our imaginings of a more peaceful future."

Pantone executives characterized the COTY as a "cozy peach hue softly nestled between pink and orange,” and claimed it “enriches the soul.”

Gentle, warm, and all-embracing? Nurturing, sensual, tender, and soft? Sounds like it should be the official color of today’s U.S. military.
