Eli Stokols, a Wall Street Journal reporter and MSNBC
contributor, is upset that President Trump called for ISIS-loving terrorist
Sayfullo Saipov to get the death penalty, but did not demand the same penalty
for the Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock.
Trump
tweeted: “NYC terrorist was happy as he asked to hang ISIS flag in his hospital
room. He killed 8 people, badly injured 12. SHOULD GET DEATH PENALTY!”
The
astute Stokols complained to MSNBC host Nicole Wallace: “The unifying thread is
sort of the broad politics of Donald Trump, the ethno-centric nationalism. He
did not react this way when a white person shot dozens of people in Las
Vegas…we need to give this guy the death penalty.”
Trump didn’t call for the death penalty for
Paddock because Paddock had already completed executing the death penalty on
himself, by committing suicide as police closed in on his hotel room, and it is
impossible to effectively impose the death penalty on someone who is already
dead. MSNBC’s Wallace was too biased or polite to point this fact out to
Stokols.
Look for Stokols to boldly call for
the death penalty to be imposed on the following soon:
*Generalissimo Francisco Franco
*Adolph Hitler
*Al Capone
*Osama bin Laden
*Lee Harvey Oswald
*Bonnie & Clyde
