Many liberals want to see Hillary Clinton become the
Democratic nominee for President and lean to Jeb Bush as the more sensitive,
sensible, moderate (liberal) candidate to be the Republican nominee. Would
these “progressives” like to see slavery return, as well? Maybe we could
re-fight the Vietnam War? Bring back bell-bottoms and pet rocks? Sixteen
consecutive years of Clinton-Bush rule (ending seven years ago) wasn’t enough for them?
Are
they really hungry for more Clinton scandals or squishy, Bush era
“compassionate conservatism?” Did they ask for Jai-Alai sets and coon-skin hats
for Christmas?
As for
me, I’m going to go play Fleetwood Mac’s “Don’t Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)”
on my new eight-track tape player while I contemplate joining the “Whig” Party!
