Navy Secretary At Sea In Terms Of Priorities

 

Acting Secretary of the U.S. Navy Thomas Harker recently stated that the navy’s priorities will be to prevent sexual assault and to encourage sailors to seek mental health care, particularly in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Harker actually recorded a video message to the fleet in which he admitted he himself has sought counseling on several occasions. No surprise there. Too bad it’s apparently not helping.

The navy—and other branches of the military wouldn’t have to worry as much about sexual assault…or mental health counseling, for that matter…if it hadn’t allowed women to serve alongside men in close quarters and even in combat situations. And, is the stress from possibly contracting the coronavirus, which has a nearly 100% survival rate for healthy young people, worse than that of battling the enemy in combat?

Tragically, the cultural rot infecting nearly all other American institutions, and rot it is, is now attacking the United States military. The demented progressives now in charge of much of the nation’s government and military-industrial complex are far more interested in using the military as a sort of social-engineering petri dish than as the sword and shield protecting the country that it was supposed to be. Speaking of mental illness, it is bat-guano crazy to do this, especially at a time when our armed forces should be laser-focused on deterring China, Russia, Iran, and other current and potential adversaries.

Yet, if the ever elusive—and to hear the mainstream media talk, ever present and ever growing—ranks of white supremacists should take to the oceans, you can bet the Biden administration would immediately propose tripling the number of ships in the fleet.

Harker is at sea, though not in the literal sense of the term. As are so many others currently ensconced in the upper echelon of American government.

This is a Dunkirk moment for America, albeit one of our own making. If we don’t dispense with frivolous trivialities and outright hoaxes such as the 1619 Project, critical race theory, the exponential expansion of genders, wokeness, and assorted other politically correct inanities, and start seriously addressing the all-too-real threats posed by China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea, for example, we will have missed the proverbial boat.

 And missing that vessel could turn out to be fatal to the Republic…for which Harker and his government comrades supposedly stand.

 

 

 

The NFL Launches New "Football Is Gay" Ad

 

The National Football League (NFL) recently joined every other American institution in lauding-- and marketing to—the LGBTQ Community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that “football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting.”

The ad begins by stating “football is gay” to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I’m not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.)  

The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raider’s defensive end Carl Nassib’s recent announcement that he was gay, a league spokesperson said. It is titled, “Football is for everyone,” and is intended to “send a strong message of acceptance from the league to fans and players,” reports Outsports. What will the league look like a few years from now?

The oh-so-woke commercial states: "Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life. Football is exciting. Football is culture. Football is transgender. Football is queer. Football is heart. Football is power. Football is tough. Football is bisexual. Football is strong. Football is freedom. Football is American. Football is accepting. Football is everything. Football is for everyone.” (You can, of course, substitute “the NFL” for “football.”)

 “Football” is pandering. Football is pathetic. Football will say or do anything to chase down the very last potential viewer/customer. I’m surprised the ad didn’t also state, “Football is Chinese.” (Maybe the NBA had already patented the last two words of that phrase.)

This ad is disturbingly mindful of parents raising their baby’s arms over their heads and cloyingly saying, “Who’s big? Billy is! Sooo big!”

`“Who’s gay? The NFL! Sooo gay! Who’s queer? The NFL! Sooo queer! Who’s two-spirited? The NFL! Sooo Two-Spirited! Who’s pro-pangender? The NFL! Sooo pro pangender! Who’s Muslim? The NFL! Sooo Muslim! Etc., etc., etc.

The NFL should be subject to penalties for the sickening ad. It could be called for a false start for an embarrassing attempt to make further inroads into the LGBTQ community. It could be called for offsides, as it clearly went where it should not have gone. It could similarly be cited for encroachment. And it definitely should have been flagged for a “personal foul…roughing the viewer.”

Normally, I’d “Be ready for some football!” Now, however, I can never take the NFL seriously again.

And, after this, members of the LGBTQ community shouldn’t, either. 

 

 

CNN Medical Analysts Call For Mandatory Vaccinations

 

CNN further solidified its relationship with needle Nazis recently, with several “medical analysts” calling for mandatory coronavirus vaccinations.

CNN’s own medical analyst, Dr. Jonathan Reiner, told host Erin Burnett, “I do think it's time to  start mandating vaccines. And I think that private industry and private organizations will do that." Reiner added, "75 million adults have chosen to not get vaccinated and that choice has consequences. Now, we can't force you to take a jab in the arm but there are many jobs perhaps that can prevent you from working if you decide not to get vaccinated.”  (“Arbeit macht frei”……unless you are unvaccinated?)

Leana Wen, the former president of Planned Parenthood, also recently appeared on the flagging network to say that unvaccinated Americans should be subjected to more draconian restrictions. Wen is on the record as stating that businesses should only be allowed to return to full capacity if "they are checking for proof of vaccination.” Except in the case of illegal aliens undocumented workers, I’m sure. Does she think that businesses should be forced to check for proof that their employees and customers are AIDS-free, as well? And that they have had their measles shots, “regular” flu vaccines, etc.? If not, why? (If not Wen, does WHO?)

During her CNN appearance, Wen bemoaned the fact that “It’s easy if you’re unvaccinated, you can do everything you want to do anyway.” She recently wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post in which she said that President Biden should have instituted a national vaccine mandate and chided him for failing to use the White House Independence Day event to tell folks that choosing whether or not to get vaccinated is not an “individual decision.” That’s interesting. So, Wen believes that what happens to your body is not up to you, but is really the government’s bailiwick? Goodbye, America. Hello Chinese Communist Party style totalitarianism. This is particularly preposterous coming from the erstwhile head of an organization that strongly supported the mantras “my body, my choice” and “keep the government out of our bedrooms.”

Wen opined that, if people wanted to opt out of the vaccinations, they should be forced to “sign these forms” and get “twice weekly testing.”

“It needs to be hard for people to remain unvaccinated,” she stated.

Since when is it the American government’s job to selectively make life harder for some of its citizens? Who decided the whole “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” thing was a relic of the white male patriarchy that should be expunged with all due haste? Why, Wen, should we appropriate the unrepresentative forms of government that so many other nations have used to brutalize their peoples throughout history?

(When I was younger, my parents used to take me to a theme park where hens, ducks, and gerbils were kept in glass-enclosed cages. If they performed the “correct” action or made the “right” choice from among several options, they were “rewarded” with a bit of food. Kind of like the current Chinese social score system. That isn’t “right” for the hens, ducks, and gerbils, let alone for human beings.)

Conversely, Wen averred that government needs to inform Americans, "If you are vaccinated, you can do all these things. Here are all these freedoms that you have." Yes, if you do as the government tells you to, the government will allow you some freedoms! Isn’t that great, fellow hens, ducks, and gerbils?

It saddens me to no end to think that many Americans now have to be reminded that our freedoms don’t come from others, they come from God. If they didn’t, then people like Leana Wen and Dr. Fauci could tell the rest of us what freedoms we do or don’t have. Moreover, the Holocaust would not necessarily have been bad, because the government of the Third Reich deemed it prudent and proper.

So, yes, Wen and Reiner, let’s mandate vaccinations against COVID-19. Let’s mandate vaccine passports and proofs of vaccination. Let’s also make opting for abortion legal through the third trimester. But let’s prohibit polling places from requiring any form of ID to vote in American presidential elections.

Maybe one day someone will develop a vaccine against idiocy, hypocrisy, bullying, evil.

Maybe I will then assert that those vaccinations should be mandatory.

Democrats, “experts,” and their sycophants in Big Business, Tech, Academia and Media would go crazy, shouting, “How dare this bigoted, radical, right-wing fascist try to impose his will on the rest of us. It’s our body, our choice!”

Point proven.

 

White House Press Secretary Says Administration Working Hard To Suppress Speech

 

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently remarked that if someone is banned from one social media platform, they should be banned from all other platforms as well. That’s an, um, interesting take. The Orange Lady said, “You shouldn’t be banned from one platform and not others for providing misinformation.” Yes, and if someone is kicked out of one restaurant, especially for, say, “ordering the wrong menu items,” they should be kicked out of every restaurant. Is everyone in this administration crazy? (Don’t attempt to answer that, it was a purely rhetorical question.)

Incredibly, that was neither the dumbest nor the scariest quote she uttered during that press briefing. She also admitted that the administration is “flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation,” and added that platforms like Facebook should “measure and publicly share the impact of misinformation on their platform” while creating “robust enforcement strategies.” When government and large private entities come together to suppress information, it’s called fascism. And “robust enforcement strategies?” Such as total disregard for the First Amendment and freedom of speech? Canceling those who said something “problematic?” Prison? The death penalty?

Keep in mind, “problematic” means information progressives don’t want to get out. “Disinformation” and “misinformation” are their euphemisms for the truth.

Is Vaccine Resistance Futile?

 

Don’t be surprised if some day soon there is a knock on your door, and you open it to find strange people standing there trying to get you to do something for them. And it isn’t Halloween. 

The Biden administration recently announced that government officials will shortly embark on a door-to-door push to convince the unvaccinated to recant and testify to the error of their ways. That’s right, feds may well be coming to your home to twist your arm to get you to accept receiving a jab in one. Will they be wearing red armbands for ease of identification?

“Ve haf vays of…how you say…’convincing’ you to do ze right thing, ya’? Verstehen sie? Understand?”

The campaign to intimidate Americans into getting vaccinated against the coronavirus/COVID-19/the Wuhan Flu is creepy and ham-handed at best-- and possibly unconstitutional. It is shades of the Third Reich and similarly mindful of East Germany. The Nazis forced Jews to be marked with the “Jewish Badge” in the lead-up to the Holocaust. “Progressive” politicians throughout the U.S. are considering “vaccination passports”-- and various ways to publicly mark people who have not consented to having an experimental foreign substance injected into their bodies. These same government heads encouraged everyone to rat out their friends, neighbors, family members, and countrymen countrypersons for not wearing facial masks and/or not observing proper social distancing mandates, so you can bet they will also encourage citizens to shun those who haven’t yet been vaccinated.

But why didn’t/doesn’t the government go door-to-door coercing Americans to get the regular flu vaccine, or to be vaccinated against mumps, measles, chickenpox, polio, or any other disease?

And what if the government did go door-to-door to persuade women to have an abortion or men to get a vasectomy? Leftists are nothing but frauds. They discard their “my body, my choice” mantra the moment it doesn’t comport with a part of their agenda, replacing it with the “government knows best” bromide.

The Biden administration is embarrassed that it failed to meet its stated vaccination goal by the Fourth of July. So it will send its minions across the fruited plain to strong-arm “vaccine deniers.”

Until very recently (the day Trump left office), liberals considered resistance to be patriotic. Now they consider it an affront to Uncle Sam, science, and Dr. Fauci. (I guess that’s redundant, Fauci thinks he is science.)

Let’s hope resistance isn’t futile.

One of the repulsive aspects of “wokeism,” the One True Religion to The Left, is its absolute certainty that anyone questioning the orthodoxy, or its adherents, is WRONG. “We believe in science,” they say, “and the science is settled. Period. If you disagree with us, you should not be allowed to speak. You are a denier. The Earth is heating up for man-caused reasons. Men can be women and women can be men. All whites are racist. There is nothing they can do about it due to the color of their skin. If you disagree with that statement…you are racist. The science is settled.”

 Arrogance can be off-putting, but arrogance based on nothing—ignorance—is unsettling and dangerous. Ironically, ignorant people often tend to think they know everything, or at least far more than they actually do. As Ronald Reagan once said, “The trouble with our liberal friends is not ignorance, it’s just that they know so much that is not so.” Conversely, the smarter people are, the likelier they are to realize how little they know. The more they learn, the more they realize how much there is to learn, and how little humans are capable of knowing in a cosmic sense. After all, we cannot ask to be born, nor did we create the universe we seek to understand.

One thing I do know, having been a keen—if increasingly saddened—observer of recent cultural, political and current events, is that there is an undercurrent to it all. A battle of good versus evil is playing out before our mostly unseeing eyes.

This has become clear after watching Democrats use COVID-19 purely to advance their own agenda and enhance their own power. It has become clear after watching the “mostly peaceful” rioters burn and loot large sections of major cities, cheered on by the same people who think “misgendering” someone is “violence.” It has become clear after seeing the “meh” reaction from our elites to the Hunter Biden laptop and its diversity of depravity, juxtaposed to their professed outrage and disgust at all things Trumpian. It has become clear watching pampered sports stars, university professors, mainstream media members, business titans, Big Tech oligarchs, and prominent government figures attack the United States (and the Star-Spangled Banner) as racist and hateful while cow-towing to China despite its ongoing persecution of Uighurs, Falun Gong members, and anyone who doesn’t toe the Communist Party line.

And it has never been clearer than when observing the words and actions of radical pro-abortion groups. One of these recently draped a sign proclaiming “God Bless Abortions” over the 65-foot-tall Christ of the Ozarks Statue in Eureka, Arkansas. (The group plans to sell T-shirts commemorating the event. Surely to raise money for a good cause.)

Given their recent actions, one might think that sentiment may soon be Democratic Party orthodoxy…if it weren’t for the fact that so many Democrats don’t believe in God.

When all whites are deemed racist…solely due to the color of their skin, gender is something one can choose as easily as what shoes to wear, abortion is considered “women’s health care,” progressives consider only traditional values to be evil, and the majority is too scared of the minority to stand up for what it believes, society has reached a tipping point.

Far too many of us in the West have been blinded with pseudo-science-- and have become tolerant of everything but ourselves.

Library Hires "Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey" To Encourage Kids To Read

 

Goodmayes Public Library in east London wanted to hire someone to encourage children to read as part of its recent Redbridge Libraries Summer Reading Challenge event. Unfortunately, the library had to issue an apology after the person hired turned out to be a performer known online as “Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey,” a member of something called the Mandiga Arts Group. RDBM appeared, as is his wont (and unsurprisingly given his moniker), as a rainbow colored, bare-assed monkey with a large prosthetic penis which he thrusted at passing vehicles. How this was related to encouraging kids to read is beyond me, but who am I to judge?

Pictures of Rainbow Dildo Butt Monkey went viral, sadly eliciting outrage from some reactionary, stick-in-the-mud, traditional Christian, homophobic, cisgender, heterosexual parents. The library has since issued an apology.

The Standard reported that “Redbridge Council said that they did not arrange the event and it was organized by Vision Redbridge Culture and Leisure (RCL), a registered charity and a non-profit organization, who have ‘since apologized to residents’.”

Apparently, RCL took to Twitter to state: “During an event put on at the library today there was a performance by a Carnival Arts Company. Unfortunately, one of the animal costumes was inappropriate which we were not aware of at the time of booking. We deeply apologize for the offence caused. This is being looked into. This event was arranged by Vision and not Redbridge Council. Upon receiving complaints passed on by the Leader and Deputy Leader, we ceased the performance and are truly apologetic for the distress caused to residents. This will never happen again.” RCL added: “We never intended to offend residents. We respect everyone’s individual opinion with no offence to any part.”

This is mindful of a Monty Python bit: “We are frightfully sorry for the last sketch and should like to apologize to everyone in the world.”

This is mind-boggling. Was the party responsible truly unaware that a rainbow-colored, bare-assed, ‘dildo-monkey’ aimed at influencing children’s behavior could conceivably cause an uproar?

 Did RCL add to its apology by stating, “In fact, we feel so bad that we have already made plans to cancel the naked, three-peckered, man-eating zombie we were going to feature at next year’s event.”

"The Brady Bunch" Recreated With Drag Queens

 

            “The Brady Bunch,” beloved as the classic 1970s sitcom may have been, received a much-needed revamp, Paramount Plus and MTV Entertainment Studios recently announced. Some of the show’s original stars were joined by alums of RuPaul’s reality series “Drag Queens” to reimagine and recreate a classic episode of the iconic half-hour television show in celebration of Pride Month.

The crossover event, called "Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch," recreated the classic Brady Bunch episode titled "Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?" Well, will she he they? Or is Jan really RuPaul? Inquiring minds want to know.

The “Dragging the classics” vehicle provides an almost unlimited opportunity for recreating classic television shows and movies. Who among us wouldn’t love to see “Bonanza” remade with drag queen characters? RuPaul as “Hoss” would be to die for, no?

Little House on the Prairie, The Flintstones, and Gilligan’s Island would all be better if they were drag queen enhanced. As would “I Dream of Jeannie.” Is there anyone who wouldn’t want to find a bottle which, when opened, dispenses a drag queen Genie willing to serve them and grant them whatever their heart desires, especially if it involves a fabulous leather outfit and a riding crop?

Gunsmoke is yet another classic show that would be improved by the introduction of gender dysphoria. What if Festus Parker was a non-binary questioning transvestite? And Miss Kitty was actually a guy in gal’s clothing? Delicious! Think of the potential plot twists! Who wouldn’t love to see Marshal Matt Dillon portrayed by Dame Edna Everage or Bianca Del Rio?

Vintage movies, too, could be greatly enhanced by their remaking with drag queens and other assorted sexual deviants.

Gone With the Wind, Casablanca, True Grit, The Godfather, Jaws, and The Magnificent Seven just to name a few. Dirty Harry, too. “You’ve got to ask yourself one question: ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well, do you, RuPaul?”

“Go ahead, make my day…you two-spirited pansexual person, you!”

Saving Private Ryan, Finding Nemo, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler’s List, and The Dark Knight are among the vast majority of movies that could be improved and sanctified by running them through the prism of gender confusion and sexual dysfunction.

Star Wars, too. As the adorable non-binary droid R2-D2 said to the subtly gay (and likely pangender) C-3PO: “May the farce be with you.” 

U.S. Olympic Basketball Team Racist For Having One White Player On The Squad

 

Jalen Rose used his ESPN podcast recently to slander USA Basketball for adding the Cleveland Cavalier’s Kevin Love to its 12-man Olympic roster. He noted that, “Kevin Love did not have a stellar season, was not the best player on his team, and did not necessarily deserve to be on this squad." The former NBA player said of the veteran power forwards addition to Team USA, "Kevin Love is on the team because of tokenism.” He added that those who chose Love should not have been “scared to make an all-Black team representing the United States of America,” apparently forgetting or unaware that the 2016 US Olympic team was all-Black.

Accusing USA Basketball of racism for assembling a team consisting of 11 Black players and one white one is rich enough on its face. When viewed through the progressive prism of equity over all, however, it becomes the height of hypocrisy. Merit doesn’t matter, equality of outcome is everything. Mr. Rose can’t have his cake and eat it, too. Like every other organization or entity, Team USA should look like America. That means, in a just world, nearly 70% of Team USA would be white, slightly over half would be female, and at least 7 team members would be self-professed Christians.

Also, only roughly 8% of the squad would be millionaires, as opposed to 100% of the current selectees.

Apparently, in the minds of those like Rose, a “token” Black person on, say, a corporate board or the Supreme Court is a bad thing because it is not enough. Yet, placing Love on Team USA is a form of “tokenism” that is also bad because it unnecessarily keeps a qualified Black person from the position. In other words, it is too much. Therefore, a Black “token” is a symbol of systemic racism and white supremacy. And, remarkably, a white “token” is, too.

Am I the only one who wants to cry “foul” at this obvious display of hypocrisy?

Progressives, what’s wrong with just choosing Love?

 

People's Of Color Victims Of "Tree Inequity"

 

It’s worse than we thought.

It’s bad enough that peoples of color are victims of racist math and racist bird names, but now we know they are also made to suffer from “tree inequity.”

A research group called American Forests, in conjunction with the United States Forest Service, recently announced that peoples of color, living as many do in socioeconomically disadvantaged communities, often have fewer trees around them than do those residing in wealthier white communities. The group claims that trees are disproportionality planted in those wealthier and whiter neighborhoods and that this has “deprived many communities of color of the health and other benefits that sufficient tree cover can deliver.”

The USFS funds the utilization of a 100-point system to determine whether there are “enough” trees planted in a given neighborhood, known as the new Tree Equity Score.

Assumedly, fabulously wealthy Black people such as Oprah Winfrey, Barack and Michelle Obama, LeBron James, and Patrisse Khan-Cullors (co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement), all of whom live in mansions in one or more exclusive white neighborhoods, are surrounded by a veritable forest of trees. Or at least as many as their whiny little “oppressed” hearts desire.

Conversely, the extraordinary numbers of well-off white people living in desert communities in Arizona and other locations often have few or no trees on their properties. So perhaps, say, the Department of the Interior can institute new Cactus Equity and Golf Hole Equity scores.

And, if the Tree Inequity Problem were to be resolved, you know some progressive entity would scream that trees in Black communities are a sign of systemic racism, a dog whistle about monkeys or lynchings.

As always, professional offense-takers and virtue-signalers are barking up the wrong tree. And driving me up one.
