Jeopardy!

 

Fans of the popular "Jeopardy!" quiz show were dismayed recently when none of the contestants were able to answer a clue based on elementary knowledge of U.S. History. The show in question, hosted by "Big Bang Theory" actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik, saw contestant Robin Lozano choose the “Quotations” category for $800 during a round of Double Jeopardy. Bialik then gave Lozano the clue…from an exceedingly famous piece of historical oratory, stating: "'Government of the people, by the people, for the people' is from the end of this brief but powerful speech.”

Seconds passed and then some more…until the final buzzer sounded without any of the contestants offering so much as a guess at the solution to the clue.

The correct answer, of course, would have been, “What is the Gettysburg Address.” Given the pathetic state of history education in the U.S. in recent years, the fact that not one of the contestants knew the answer should not have been shocking.

We will soon see a “Jeopardy!” host ask contestants, “What is the capital of the United States?” only to be answered with, “What is California?” The query, “Who is known as the father of our country?” will generate the reply, “Who is Puff Daddy?”

Similarly, the interrogatory, “What are the three branches of American government?” will be responded to with, “What are the FBI, CIA, Capitol and Bicameral?”

“No, Justice, none of those are correct. And there aren’t four branches of government.”

Etc.

           We are all in Jeopardy.

Commonality VS. Disharmony

 

The founders knew that commonality was a great benefit to the Republic. It brought harmony and stability. That is why the 1795 Immigration Act specified that new Americans “be attached to the principals of the United States” as “this leads to good order and harmony.” They wished to make certain that we only brought in immigrants who loved America and would put America first—you might have heard of that phrase-- and would screen out all others. Today's Democrats seem to want to screen out only those who would put America first and let in all others. It’s hard to imagine a bigger change than that…or one so obviously destructive to the nation and those that wish to come here because of their love for the freedom and opportunity it has traditionally stood for.

Democrats obsessively focus on identity politics for similar reasons, and champion those who try to break our society apart, such as those who looted businesses, burned cities, toppled statues, and threatened all who dared to get in their way during last summer’s “mostly peaceful” riots. They know the nation’s demographics have changed so much that they can now cobble together a bare majority of people from identity and special interest groups-- people who have no affinity for America other than its largess-- and win national elections. Or steal them. (Screw you FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, CNN, et. al., if you think you can dictate what everyone else is “allowed” to believe, think, or say.) The demographic tide moves inexorably in their direction, because of their own actions. They will do anything to get power over you and I…and keep it.

And that tells you all you need to know about them.

How we react to their calumny will tell them all they need to know about us.

             

Facebook, Big Tech Genuflect To China

 

Facebook-- and the other social media giants-- exhibit preposterous and revolting virtue-signaling gall while cow-towing to Communist China and its military, not least by banning all references to the “Wuhan” or “Chinese” flu on their platforms due to their “racist” and bigoted nature. These monumental frauds and charlatans often claim to be all about morality and charity, and openly despise supposedly money-grubbing Republicans, yet they will do/allow/tolerate anything if they believe it is to the benefit of their own bottom line. If they are not the “focus of evil in the modern world,” they are aiding and abetting those that are. If they had a shred of decency/morality/integrity/humanity, they would be beyond ashamed. If they were really concerned about making the world a better place, they would “cancel” themselves.

It seems the billion-and-a-half Chinese—and the sales market they comprise-- are all they really care about…even after telling us that there are far too many humans now, and that this is inevitably leading to planetary destruction.

China’s carbon footprint, the largest in the world? Island-size plastic offal-heaps in the ocean, courtesy of the Middle Kingdom? Countless “artificial islands” being built in the South China Sea to be used as military bases with which to dominate sea lanes and threaten its neighbors? The imprisonment and torture of Uighurs? Tossing baby girls into the trash for decades like spent/used condoms under its “one-child” policy? Meh. No big whoop. What are you so excited about?

Yet these same entities until recently flat-out banned speculation that the COVID-19 virus may have somehow originated in a Wuhan lab that was studying coronaviruses at the time. People, President Trump included, were reprimanded, fired or sued for evening daring to utter the phrases “China Virus,” “Wuhan Flu,” or “Kung Flu.”

China may have engineered COVID-19 as a bioweapon. What is certain is that it is becoming much more technologically proficient, mostly from stealing information from the U.S. And that it is growing its navy at an astounding rate. It has simultaneously become increasingly smug and belligerent.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin purportedly said, “The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them.”

Tragically, it appears he was correct.

Fights On Flights

 

The friendly skies aren’t so friendly anymore.

Though the number of flights per day is still far below the daily average of recent years, the FAA recently revealed that the total number of reported incidents of passenger bad behavior on flights so far in 2021 is about 10 times the annual average — through just the first four months of the calendar year.

The FAA says it typically sees between 100 and 150 “formal” cases of bad behavior by passengers in a typical year. By contrast, the agency said there have already been 1,300 such cases reported this year, even with significantly lower passenger miles flown. These instances have involved verbal and physical assault and “political intimidation,” frequently over mask mandates.

This simply reflects what is happening on the ground, as well. Standards of behavior have been altered for the worse, possibly forever. Obstruction, looting, burning, rioting, and violence are everywhere on the increase. This is the inevitable result of ignoring cheating, letting crime go unchecked and unpunished, supporting rioting, sowing racial, class and intersectional hatred, dispensing with long -held cultural norms, eschewing the Judeo-Christian work ethic, attacking, mocking and defunding the police, and attempting to dispense with the traditional nuclear family. Throw in pent up emotions of nearly endless—and pointless—lockdowns and mask mandates and you have effectively mandated bad behavior, hopelessness, despair…and mass unrest.

In other words, Democrats have deliberately, carefully and painstakingly created the perfect conditions for societal collapse. Many of today’s Democrats hate the country as founded and believe they will be there in the end to pick up the pieces and consolidate their power.

Screw the coronavirus vaccine, these Democrats should have been forced to be proactively vaccinated against Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) and the Anti-American Insanity Virus (AAIV).

 

TV Stations Refuse To Run Pro-Life Ad

 

In light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent announcement that it would be taking up the first major abortion case in years, the Susan B. Anthony List, a pro-life advocacy group, announced it was launching a $2 million television ad campaign. But, though the ad the group produced does not contain any graphic footage, it has nonetheless been rejected by multiple television networks.

The ad starts out by noting that, after five decades of medical breakthroughs, "every age group has more opportunity to live — except one. The unborn still fall victim to outdated laws.” It continues, “Science tells us that at 15 weeks these babies have fully formed faces. They smile. They yawn. They feel pain. It's why European countries ban late-term abortions. In five decades, we've learned they are just like us. Isn't it time the law reflects the science?"

S.B.A. List has frequently pointed out that its ad is not a call to action or an attack on any politician, but simply "a response to news that the U.S. Supreme Court will review a Mississippi law limiting abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy" and a celebration of the miracles of modern medicine.

Be that as it may, CMT, owned by ViacomCBS, explained to the S.B.A. List that, though it sometimes takes "issue-based ads," theirs was just too controversial. "While we do accept political and issue-based ads on a case-by-case basis, issue-oriented ads that are designed for the purpose of presenting views or influencing legislation on issues that are controversial by general public consensus are unacceptable," CMT said, according to the Daily Wire.

The Daily Wire also reported that Crown Media, which owns Hallmark, informed the S.B.A. List it rejected the ad "because it does not meet the Hallmark Channel's criteria for the positive experience Hallmark aims to offer viewers.” Sure. Duckies and bunnies all the time is the hallmark of the Hallmark Channel.

CBS, channeling its inner CMT (or maybe CMT was channeling its inner CBS), told the S.B.A. List that "Issue-oriented advertisements that are designed for the purpose of presenting views or influencing legislation on issues that are controversial by general public consensus are unacceptable.” Really, CBS? What is “60 Minutes” if not an hour-long issue-oriented advertisement for progressive causes?

Some “pro-choice” groups are worried about the Court’s decision, though it likely won’t be rendered until 2022. Nancy Northup, the President and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, said that "Alarm bells are ringing loudly about the threat to reproductive rights.”

Note to Nancy: there is no threat to reproductive rights. Everyone has the right to reproduce. Everyone has the right not to, as well…by simply not engaging in the act that was specifically designed for procreation. Don’t want to get arrested for drunk driving? Don’t drive drunk.

Remarkably, restrictions on the wholesale slaughter of innocent life are “controversial” to so-called progressives and those who would aid and abet them. And still others are unwilling to potentially lose a few bucks in revenue by upsetting the “pro-choice” crowd, most of whom were not pro-choice as regards the government telling individuals to stay at home, wear masks in public, or get vaccinated.

Isn’t it interesting/tragic that pro-life messages are “controversial” and not conducive to a “positive experience” while we allow our cities to be burned and looted and our children to be abused and maimed?

Leftists are nothing if not frauds. Everything they do is for the purpose of presenting views and influencing legislation on controversial issues. That is their approach to education, news, “entertainment,” and everything else.

The rest of us must exercise our pro-choice rights by refusing to be intimidated by them.

 

 

The United States Is Plagued By Systemic Racism?

 

1)      The U.S. is a racist, bigoted, misogynistic hellhole of oppression and capitalistic excess…and

2)      The U.S. has a moral obligation to let in the teeming throngs of people from around the world who desperately want to come here.

Democratic State Senator Proposes Bill To Force People To Vote

 

Connecticut state Sen. Will Haskell (D) has proposed a bill that would mandate that every citizen vote. The coercion would be enforced by threat of fines or community service.

Let’s be clear: if a government can force you to vote, it can force you to vote a certain way. Socialists love to espouse the ridiculous ruse that if everyone votes, democracy is somehow strengthened. What is strengthened is the government. This is why Democrats spend such an astonishing amount of time, money and effort in get out the vote drives. It is why they are against any form of identification being needed to vote, why they want to give felons and illegal immigrants the vote, etc., etc. It is also why they love mail-in ballots and any other form of effectively uncontrollable, anonymous, mass voting.

Democrats get out the vote drives in many areas, such as NBA arenas, college campuses, and inner-city wards, are already nothing more than directives to “vote for Biden and Democrats, not for the bad Orange Man and the scary, evil conservatives that hate your friends, the planet and don’t want to pay for your contraceptives and sex-change operations.”

When a government tries to compel people to vote, whether they wish to or not…or have any knowledge of the issues or the candidates…it typically does so as a way of negating the votes of those who might challenge its power.

When those in power offer people incentives to vote, they are really offering people incentives to vote for those who offered them incentives. And they are using other folks’ tax money to do this!

In a similar vein, California Gov. Gavin “French Laundry” Newsome, among others, is aggressively trying to bribe people to get jabbed with one of the experimental coronavirus vaccines. It is astounding-- and a sad reflection of American’s civic knowledge and engagement-- that there hasn’t been any serious pushback to the endless totalitarian-esque mandates, decrees, and abuses surrounding the COVID-1984 pandemic.

 

 

Math Is Racist: Part II

 

Laurie Rubel, a professor of math education at New York’s Brooklyn College, does not appear to be fond of the discipline she teaches. In fact, she apparently believes math is inherently racist. She recently tweeted, “the idea that math (or data) is culturally neutral or in any way objective is a MYTH.” In a separate tweet she noted that math “reeks of white supremacist patriarchy” after stating, albeit incoherently, “along with the ‘of course math is neutral because 2 + 2 = 4 trope’ are the related (and creepy) ‘math is pure’ and ‘protect math.’” Drunk on her own peerless wokeness she added, “I’d rather think on nurturing people & protecting the planet (with math in service of them goals).” Well, maybe just drunk.

What an amazing social justice warrior! What a flawless person! She’d rather “think on” nurturing people! And protecting the planet! Not that she’d actually do anything in furtherance of her stated goals. It is enough that she has stated them. And she wants to take that racist (and no doubt misogynistic, homophobic, and Islamophobic) math and use it “in service of them goals.” It’s a good thing she isn’t an English teacher. Though, to be fair, Ms. Rubel probably believes English is at least as racist as math is. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would be a better instructor.  Or Barney Rubble.

Seemingly every week another professor claims math, data, facts, good behavior, competence, proper hygiene, discipline, a work ethic, speaking ability, or another such basic building block of a successful society is prima facie evidence of the white supremacist patriarchy’s evil and unwarranted hold on American society. (How racist is that?) Yet, Rubel’s assertion that 2+2=4 is a “trope” still boggles the mind.

Here are common dictionary definitions of “trope:”

1.       A figure of speech using words in nonliteral ways, such as a metaphor. 

2.       A figure of speech through which speakers or writers intend to express meanings of words differently than their literal meanings. 

3.       A word or expression used in a figurative sense: FIGURE OF SPEECH

4.       A common or overused theme or device: CLICHÉ

 

“2+2=4” isn’t a “trope.” It is a fact. It is not a figure of speech, nor is it used to express the meaning of words. Words are used to express its meaning, it does not express meanings of words differently than their literal meaning. It is literal. It is neither overused, nor a theme, device or cliche'. Asserting that 2+2 equals anything other than 4 would simply be a lie. Period.

 

At the end of the movie/novel “1984,” Winston Smith is tortured by the authoritarian Marxist government until he avers that 2+2=5. “Elites” in government, media, academia and Big Business now continuously try to brainwash people into believing that 2+2 doesn’t necessarily equal 4, that there is no immutable or knowable truth, that there are an unlimited number of genders, that the U.S. is a systemically racist country, and that they are smarter and more compassionate than their deplorable inferiors living in flyover country. They do this to bolster their own power while simultaneously draining the hope from-- and breaking the spirit/will of—middle class Americans in red states and regions.

 

It is the elites that traffic in tropes. Tropes such as “climate change,” “Trump colluded with Russia,” “America was never great,” “Republicans don’t care about science/the Earth/your grandma,” “Systemic racism,” “microaggressions,” “gender is a continuum,” “COEXIST,” and “The Big Lie.”

 

Speaking of The Big Lie, America, like all nations/peoples, struggled with racism in the past, but has not been systemically racist for a long time. It is, however, now becoming so, due to far-left ideas and policy prescriptions like quotas, segregation, critical race theory, multiculturalism, intersectionality, and the 1619 Project.

 

2+2 does not equal five. Nor do two wrongs make a right.

 

 

 

 

 

Biden Administration To Release GITMO Terrorists, Not January 6th Protesters

 

The Biden administration is set to release three terrorists from the U.S.’s Guantanamo Bay detention facility.

Saifullah Paracha, a former Al Qaeda bagman and terror plotter who met with Usama bin Laden in the fall of 2000, is one of the three to be released. Paracha also offered up his textile company for Al Qaeda’s use. He suggested that AL Qaeda might use his company’s containers to bring chemical agents like sarin gas—and other weapons of mass destruction—into the United States.

Uthman Abdul al-Rahim, from Yemen, is another GITMO detainee to be set free. He was a guard for Usama bin Laden and was part of the “55^th Arab Brigade” at Tora Bora. Al-Rahim’s brother is a member of Al Qaeda, and some of his buddies were responsible for the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole in October of 2000.

Abdul Rabbani is also scheduled to be granted freedom. Rabbani is a long-time friend of Khalid Sheik Mohammed, a fellow GITMO inmate, and the principal architect of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 innocent souls and injured more than 6,000 others. He is thought to have helped KSM plan the infamous attack—and probably one or more previous Al Qaeda acts.

That Biden would allow this is revolting in itself, but coupled with the fact that his administration is still detaining some American citizens who strolled through the Capitol building as part of a January 6 “riot,” it is clear that America’s current rulers despise Americans—or at least Trump-supporting Americans—more than they do foreign entities responsible for the worst attack on American soil in history. Moreover, some reports allege that the January 6 rioters still detained have been subjected to what is tantamount to torture.

Democrats have termed the riot an “insurrection,” even though none of the alleged Trump supporters were armed and the only person shot to death was a diminutive former female Air Force pilot, and Trump supporter, Ashli Babbitt. Some Republicans have noted that this would be the worst example of an “insurrection” in history. Democrats have opined that the January 6 Capitol riot was equivalent to “another 9/11.” The fact is that this is the worst example of an analogy in American history, a heinous display of contempt for reality and the loss of innocent life, two traits tragically characteristic of today’s far-left Democrats.

And yet, if those who took part in the January 6 riot are the equivalent of those who perpetrated the 9/11 attacks, why is the Biden administration releasing those behind the 9/11 attacks but not those who participated in the riot of January 6^th?

In truth, this would be like letting Holocaust planners and executioners go while still imprisoning citizens who walked thru the Reichstag carrying banners saying, “Bring Back the Weimar Republic,” “Down with Sauerkraut,” and “Hitler Is Not My Führer.”  

There is terror directed at the U.S. from numerous foreign entities. There are a handful of “right-wing” domestic terrorists. But the biggest and most existential threat to our way of life emanates from our own government. Our supposedly duly elected leaders.

 

 

 

California Rep. Asks Greta Thunberg For Parenting Advice

 

California Rep. Katie Porter (it would be stating the obvious to point out that she is a Democrat) recently asked 18-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg what she should tell her daughter about climate change. The 47-year-old mother and elected Golden State representative queried Thunberg, stating: “I told my nine-year-old daughter that I was going to be speaking with you. And I said, what do you think about the climate change? And she said, ‘the earth is on fire and we’re all going to die soon.’ And I asked her how that made her feel and she said it made her feel angry. What should I tell my daughter and how should I help her and the youngest generation bear the emotional toll of the actions that we’re taking, fossil fuel companies are taking to destroy our planet.”

To which Thunberg replied: “And, of course, always the best medication against anger and anxiety is to take action yourself. So that’s what I would tell her. To take action herself, because that will make her feel so much better. That’s what it did to me, at least, and so many others.” Um, Greta, it didn’t really do much for your anger, did it?

How do nine-year-old kids get the idea that “the earth is on fire” and “we’re all going to die soon?” It comes from teachers and the media, of course. And the likes of Greta Thunberg, Al Gore and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. People who benefit from making as many others as possible “feel angry.” People who are guilty of using misinformation and lies to further their own agenda, manipulate others, and frighten children. They are as guilty of child-molestation as they are of trafficking in fake news.

If it wasn’t for fossil fuel companies, none of us—environmental activists included—would have anything like the quality of life we have enjoyed. Gore wouldn’t have a huge, heated home—and pool. Thunberg couldn’t fly around the world lecturing people on the evils of fossil fuels and the imminent and existential danger of global warming/climate change. Ocasio-Cortez wouldn’t be chauffeured around in SUV limos wearing chic apparel and accessories. We would not have had the medical breakthroughs, ease of travel, technical advances, and time-saving gadgetry that we do. Our lives would be poorer and harder in every way. And shorter. Fossil fuel companies are not destroying the planet. Period. So-called “progressive” activists are doing everything they can to sow doubt, fear and anger--- in short, destroy society.

Greta Thunberg could be the poster-child for Planned Parenthood. Asking her for parenting advice is like asking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about the Constitution or Michael Moore for dieting tips. No wonder why kids are so confused these days.

It is time parents stopped talking about feelings and started seeking the truth. Maybe if parents grow up, their children will, too.
