Mason
Wells, a 19-year-old Mormon missionary, was at the scene of the terror attacks
in Brussels recently. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, shrapnel
injuries, and second and third degree burns on his face and hands. Despite his
wounds, he is reported to be in good spirits and is expected to make a full
recovery.
Remarkably,
he was also in Paris last year while
those attacks were carried out. And he was in Boston, one block away from
the finish line of the Boston Marathon, during that attack.
This
one teenager has survived three
terrorist attacks in recent years. While you probably don’t want to invite him
to your city, you must admit this is illustrative of how personal the Islamic
terrorist threat really is, and of Mason’s own faith and resiliency.
