Farmingdale State College on Long
Island, New York, was recently put on lockdown because of a report that there
might be a gun on campus. The school’s students and staff members were
instructed to ”shelter in place” while police investigated the tip that someone
was assembling a rifle in a school parking lot. The “weapon” turned out
to be a light saber. College spokeswoman Kathryn Coley admitted that the
“rifle” was in actuality a Star Wars toy.
