EU Commissioner Says Trump Shouldn't Get Involved In European Democracy

According to left-leaning Politico, European Union head Ursula von der Leyen recently said that Donald Trump should not get involved in European democracy. The unelected EO Commissioner was referring to remarks Trump made in which he worried that Europe was facing “civilizational erasure” due to unfettered immigration, low fertility rates, and a loss of will. She also stated, “It is not on us, when it comes to elections, to decide who the leader of the country will be.” Which is hilarious considering the EU has put great pressure on member nations to rein in allegedly “far-right” parties or even declare them illegal. To a rational person, that would seem to be meddling in sovereign nations’ democracies and elections on an extreme and massive scale. It is political censorship of the worst kind. The mainstream media’s incessant use of the almost always inaccurate term “far-right” is itself meant to conger up images of Nazis-- and criminalize populist and nationalist movements and parties.

I wonder if the EU would reject any and all aid that the U.S. provides to it, whether monetary or military? Guessing not. Seems to me the US saved European democracy twice last century…three times if you count the Cold War. Nor does the EU want the US to stop involving itself in NATO. Weird.

All of the top EU officials are unelected, and all of them-- EU Council President Antonio Costa, Top Diplomat Kaja Kallas and Commissioner Von der Leyen –- oppose Trump’s new National Security Strategy (NSS) which objects to the rule of the unelected Euro-Globalist bureaucracy and supports the popular patriotic parties in individual nations across Europe.

Von der Leyen claims this is in large part why the EU has proposed the so-called “Democracy Shield,” which is supposedly intended to counter foreign interference online and in elections. Ironically, the EU leaders’ real goal is to shield themselves from rising popular movements, meaning European citizens.

The EU itself is shielding its member nations—and their citizens-- from democracy and free will.

The American far-left watches and cheers.

That said, the United States is a republic, and for good reason. Pure democracies always destroy themselves, as soon as 51% or so of the people realize they can negate the rights of the minority. Always. The founders knew this, because they studied history and government.

“Progressives” are in the process of building that 51% coalition of the entitled, incapable, slothful, illegal, and anti-American that they know would help them retake and retain power for the foreseeable future.
