Derek Hook, Professor of Psychology at
Duquesne University, recently took to ‘X’ to defend the quote, “white people should
commit suicide as an ethical act.” Dr. Hook claimed the statement was an
“opportunity” to “castrate whiteness.” How is this not “hate speech?”
In related news, a TikTok video created
by a male Somali immigrant has gone viral. Why? Well, in the video, the man says
of white American citizens: “You work all f***ing day… thank you for working so
hard so I can be home all day free. Go to work for me white boy… go to work for me you f***ing white
animals!” Lovely sentiment.
In other related news, an Italian school has removed the name of Jesus from Christmas carols so as not to
offend the other religions practiced by students of foreign origin. Removing Christ
from Christmas carols? So as not to offend, um, you-know-who? I’m sure
other religions have done likewise. For example, I know that a great many Muslims
often remove the prophet Muhammad from their religious texts and
conversations so as not to offend Christians. Right? There are now a great many
Muhammads, Mohammeds, Mohammads, Mohameds, Mouhameds, etc., around, all of whom
I’m sure will be willing to temporarily forego their names at times for fear of
offending practitioners of other religions. (Bob, Al, Jack, Bubba, and other
names should suffice to serve as temporary monikers.)
In still other related news, federal authorities recently
foiled a credible terrorist threat, arresting four members of a pro-Palestinian extremist group who were allegedly planning coordinated
New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles.
For many years, huge crowds have gathered at the
Champs-Élysée in Paris to ring in the new year with fireworks and concerts.
Lights and music. But not this year. French authorities have determined
that even the 6,000 or so police officers that were deployed to secure the event
last year are not enough to prevent a terror attack. From Lutherans? Catholics?
Buddhists? Capricorns? They didn’t say.
Moreover, according to Front Page Magazine, a New Year’s
Eve festival scheduled to take place on Australia’s Bondi Beach has been cancelled by the local eastern Sydney council
following the recent massacre of attendees at a Jewish holiday celebration.
Celebrations have also been cancelled in Tokyo, Belgrade, and other cities.
So here we are, in the year 2025-- and fear of crime, illegal
immigrants, and radical Islam has succeeded in getting many Western cities to
shutter their Christmas markets and cancel New Year's celebrations. What a
fitting tale of the cravenness of today’s West. This would have been
inconceivable decades, nay, even a few years ago. But first came the attacks,
and then heightened security, and then, incredibly, louder and louder screams
of “Islamophobia!” from our leaders. Remarkable. And sickening. And so now, in
too many places, Christmas and New Years gatherings have been cancelled.
And make no mistake, The Left’s love of big government,
wokeness, lack of standards, DEI, power, unfettered immigration—and its hatred
of its own countries are to blame. Throw in the spineless and craven actions--
or inactions-- of too many Republicans/”conservatives” and there you have it.
We are abandoning our Lord and losing hope in the year-- and years-- to come. Is
this what we were promised? Is this what diversity, tolerance, and inclusion
were supposed to “achieve,” the erasure of our own traditions, beliefs,
laws, and observances? If it is, we have been duped and/or are complicit.
When does the general populace, the taxpaying Western
citizen, stand up en masse and yell “I’m as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take
this anymore!” ala Peter Finch in the movie Network?
It better be soon or it won’t be just the Christmas
markets and New Year’s celebrations that will go dark.
Suicide bombers and other terrorists try to frighten us
and damage our countries. But it is our lack of forceful response and resolve
that could lead to our—and our nation’s—demise.
