The Toronto Star Says It's A Privilege To Know Your Child's Gender

A recent opinion piece in the Toronto Star argued that it's a parent's privilege, not a right, to know their own child's gender identity.

The actual headline read: “It’s a privilege, not a right, to know your kid’s gender identity.” Really?

So, progressives believe we have no right to bear arms-- or know our child’s gender-- but we do have the right to facilitate the mutilation of their genitalia or the lopping off of their breasts—or to kill them in the womb for our convenience?! Amazing.

Is it a privilege, not a right, to know our dog’s sex or gender? Breed?

It is almost impossible not to know these things, whether we truly wanted to or not.

But let’s look at it the other way: do kids have a right to know their parents’ genders? I mean, infants just presumptuously reach for their mother’s breasts, but how do they know what gender “they” are? Are they not risking non-verbally misgendering that parent? Should there be punishment for that indiscretion?
