PETA Billboard Madness

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) placed a billboard near the site of a June truck crash to “pay tribute to the chickens who were killed or grievously injured.” Said billboard sports a picture of a chicken’s “face” juxtaposed with the message “I’m ME, Not MEAT. See the individual. Go Vegan.” In very large letters. The huge roadside sign stayed up for a month to remind travelers that “We can all prevent animals’ suffering and death by choosing vegan foods.”
But, wait, there’s more! PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman released the following statement: “If this message of compassion inspires just one driver to go vegan, the chickens who were killed won’t have died in vain. PETA’s billboard pays tribute to their brief lives and encourages motorists to help prevent future suffering by keeping chickens and all other animals off their plates.” She labeled chickens “smart” and “sensitive” in another statement.
Leftists are amazing-- if ignorant-- creatures in their own right. Who else would agonize over the potential for bodily harm befalling a chicken yet vehemently support abortion rights? Who else would bemoan the plight of “smart, sensitive” chickens that were grievously injured……while spitting on Vietnam War vets returning home?
In 1928, Herbert Hoover promised the nation’s citizens “a chicken in every pot.” PETA would have termed him a war criminal and placed a bounty on his head.
Why didn’t PETA place a billboard at Ground Zero in New York after 9/11? If it wants to pay tribute to those killed or grievously injured in real tragedies, it should place billboards outside of the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando and throughout Chicago’s South Side.
If the hypocritical effing assholes really wanted to lament the preventable loss of innocent life, they’d put a billboard up by the side of each and every Planned Parenthood clinic.
It would show a baby’s face……alongside the words “I’m ME, Not MEANINGLESS. See the individual. Be Pro Life.”
A truly sensitive person could be troubled by the loss of life of animals and babies. A heartless cad might not care much about either. For various logical, obvious reasons, most people care more about human life than that of animals. Only the truly twisted can see fit to elevate the life of a chicken over that of a baby.
Despite progressive’s unceasing laments, conservatives have already lost the Culture War. Because they were too scared—or polite—to fight it.

In that sense, the chickens have come home to roost.

Somebody should put up a billboard.
