The Carousel Theatre For Young People Holding "Drag Queen Camp"

 

The Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP), a taxpayer-funded children’s theater in Vancouver, will host a “drag queen camp” for kids as young as seven this summer. The organization, which purports to be dedicated to helping children “develop emotional literacy,” has scheduled multiple “drag camps” for July. According to its website, there will be a “junior drag camp” for 7-11-year-olds and a “teen drag camp” for ages 12-17 from July 4-7. (Nothing says “Independence Day” like a young drag queen, a “drag princess” if you will.) An additional camp for the older kids is slated to be held from July 10-14.

The event’s description asks the kids that age old question: “Do you enjoy expressing yourself through clothing, make-up and performance?” Well, do you boys? Do ya’?

Moreover, it queries the would-be queens, “Do you have an alter ego that is just waiting to hit the stage?” adding that “Our new two-week senior Drag Camp might be just your cup of tea, honey!” Who wouldn’t want some sugar poured into their tea, honey?!

The CTYP proudly claims that “Vancouver’s established and emerging drag artists” will be instructing the children “how to access your inner confidence, show your true colors, and maybe even let out that inner diva.” Who doesn’t have one of those? We just need to give them proper training.

The CTYP also notes: “You might be wondering, is drag for kids?”

To which, unsurprisingly, it answers: “Drag is for everyone! Parents, ask yourself, what’s the difference between what you wear at home versus what you wear at work? You’re doing drag, honey, you just don’t know it!”

You can bet this camp won’t be a drag. Well, actually, yes it will be. But in the most fabulous way!

Who needs boating, swimming, camping, and fishing when you could opt to dress up like a big girl and flounce around all day?

“Dad and mom, can I go to drag queen camp again this year? Can I, huh? Please? We got to wear high heels, and makeup, and try on panties, and we danced for the instructors and counselors, and…”

It’s not enough that “trans influencer” Dylan Mulvaney was essentially made a spokesperson for Bud Light. No, indeed. Now “she” has partnered with Nike to sell sports bras. Talk about appropriation! If a person is white and puts on “blackface” it is basically considered a crime against humanity, but if a man dons makeup, a dress, and a purse-- and pretends to be a girl-- the world is his her oyster. What the hell?!

Department Of Defense Official Testifies That The Military Must Be A "Safe Space" For The Non-Binary

 

When a rainbow-colored Navy training video on the proper use of preferred pronouns surfaced last year, many people thought it was a joke. Sadly, many people were wrong.

Recently, a top Department of Defense official offered testimony to Congress that doubled down on the video’s underlying message: the armed services must be a "safe space" in which each and every member feels validated and affirmed on his and/or her journey of self-discovery. Remarkably, the video discussed how to make the Navy a "safe space" for people who wish to explore their gender identity.

People traditionally joined the navy to explore the world and burnish their character, not to explore their gender identity and sexual preferences. This puts a new twist on basic training. “Am I a boy or a girl?” is really basic. Or perhaps neither or both…or something else entirely would be a better fit. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead with my own personal gender journey!

This has to be good for unit cohesion and operational readiness, particularly when hundreds or thousands of sailors are confined to a single boat, right?

The DOD’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO) reportedly told the House Armed Services Committee that the “concerns young Americans have about safety are negatively impacting [military] recruiting."  The CDIO further claimed that potential recruits do not “feel safe reporting to work for fear of discrimination."  

Our military now needs to be “a safe space” or no one will join it? This seems oxymoronic and counter-intuitive at best, and potentially cataclysmic at worst.

If service members value their “lived experiences,” “own truths,” and “individual gender journeys” over their collective ability to perform their mission and defeat the enemy, “screwed” doesn’t begin to describe what we are as a nation.

Impotent might come close.

This DEI bullshit is undermining the very ethos that traditionally placed discipline, teamwork and collective lethality above individual concerns.

We’ve all seen movies and documentaries depicting sergeants barking at those in basic training, etc., if the private didn’t do something exactly correctly. Exclamations like “Drop down and give me 20, maggot!” were explicitly designed to make sure the soldier was competent enough-- and tough enough-- to have the best chance of surviving battle.

A sniveling response such as, “But, sarge, you misgendered/dead-named me! Can I go to a safe space now?” may very well eventually lead to the death of us all.

Or to all of us being forced to transition…to being under the control of our adversaries.

 

 

Atlas Mugged: DEI Trumping Merit, People To DIE

 

The state of New York has decided to permanently lower both its math and reading proficiency standards-- due to a dramatic fall in test scores since the COVID lockdowns played havoc with children’s educations.

A scoring committee that reports to the Board of Regents recently decided that action must be taken in light of last year’s abysmal test results for students in grades three through eight. For example, in Schenectady, not a single eighth-grader who took the math test scored as proficient. And the cumulative scores for the third through eighth grade tests throughout the state were much lower in 2022 than in 2019, a result attributed to the absence of in-person learning during the year-and-a-half or so following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic…and the preposterously damaging reactions to it from those in power. The committee further reported that it believes student performance has been permanently damaged, and that lower competence has become “the new normal.” Ergo the Empire State will make it easier for students to reach “proficiency” on state math and English language arts tests…by dumbing down the tests. (And, by extension, the students.)

In related news, the New York Police Department has—again-- lowered its requirements for police recruits, this time scrapping a 1.5-mile timed run in the police academy, or so the department’s head of training told The New York Post.

Training Chief Juanita Holmes said the move will help more women applicants make the cut. (However, it was controversial—and sparked an internal debate within the NYPD itself.)

The NYPD had already dramatically relaxed overall police fitness test requirements less than a year ago amid a record wave of retirements-- and a dearth of new recruits-- brought on by various anti-cop “progressive” attitudes and policies.

So, lowering standards and requirements is the “new normal.” Whether for policemen, firemen, soldiers, teachers, lawyers, nurses, doctors, auto mechanics, air traffic controllers, Transportation Secretaries “experts,” or government officials. Moreover, many colleges are dispensing with SAT test requirements, and countless schools are doing away with traditional grading systems altogether, opting instead for much less stringent ones such as “pass-fail” or “self-assessment.”

What could possibly go wrong?

I mean other than trains derailing, planes crashing, our military unable to effectively defend the nation…and things like that.

Diversity over merit! Yay! Bummer if in the future a doctor inadvertently removes your liver rather than a sliver, but, hey, the doctor was an agnostic member of the BIPOC LGBTQIIA+ Community who was born on a Thursday during a full moon! Yay!

 

 

Good Friday, Then And Now

 

A photo showing several New York City skyscrapers emblazoned with bright crosses, formed by lights in each building being turned on to form the holy Christian symbol outlined against the darkness of unlit rooms and the night sky surrounding them, has recently resurfaced on social media. The three crosses measured roughly 150 feet in height.

The year was 1956. The date was April 5^th. Good Friday.

How times have changed.

Sixty-seven years later, an Oregon woman was (allegedly) denied permission to adopt a child because she is a Christian. (In days of yore, when a child needed to be adopted, a common thought was that he or she would be best off if put “in a nice Christian family.” We’ve come full circle in just two or three generations.)

And Walter Reed National Military Medical Center issued a “cease and desist order” to Holy Name College, a community of Franciscan Catholic priests and brothers, who have provided pastoral care to service members and veterans at Walter Reed for nearly two decades. Entering Easter Holy Week. Walter Reed dispensed with the Catholic priests in favor of a secular defense contracting firm.

Moreover, “On Easter Sunday (April 9^th),” according to an Eventbrite post, “the Los Angeles LGBT Center” was scheduled to host “the all-ages Drag March LA—mobilizing against the oppressive anti-LGBTQ+ tidal wave in America.” Say what? There is an oppressive anti-Christian tidal wave-- being launched in part by transgenders in this country-- but the LGBTQ Community is sacrosanct, while transgenderism is the hottest fad and coolest religion going today.

Michigan’s Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer recently repealed the state’s near-total abortion ban, dating back to a 1931 statute, guaranteeing that abortion-on-demand will remain legal for the foreseeable future.

She proudly stated: “Today, we’re going to take action to make sure that our statutes and our laws reflect our values and our constitution.” She added that ongoing efforts to ban abortion in other states were “un-American, anti-free and, frankly, sickening.”

Preventing the wholesale slaughter of the very innocents you’ve created is sickening? Actually, I can’t think of a more sickening statement than that, but, what-the-hell, Whitmer was allegedly re-elected by a majority of 54%-44% about five months ago, so most voters in the Wolverine State must be pro-baby-slaughter.    

And Democratic governors in states such as Oregon, New York, New Jersey, Colorado, New Mexico, Illinois, California, and Minnesota proudly preside over their fiefdoms and often trumpet their liberal abortion laws.

Anti-Christian bigotry— and outright hatred—is rapidly rising across the fruited plain. Marxist/Fascist beliefs and policies are aiding and abetting the assault.

All of this has-- not coincidentally—occurred simultaneously with a collapse in Americans intelligence, at least as measured by IQ scores. The finding of a rapid decline in intelligence should not be a shock to anyone, given that many now profess to believe that men can become women and vice-versa. (The dumbing down of America was presaged by the public education system opting for indoctrination over education and edification and the mainstream media trading objectivity for agenda-driven “reporting.”)

I have never been a proselytizer, but when Christians are confronted by aggressive, intolerant idealogues who mock our belief in a “sky daddy,” we need to push back and set the record straight.

As believers, we may be challenged to explain the existence of God.

Those who don’t believe, however, have to explain the existence of absolutely everything else.

New York City Ponders Asylum Seeker Blueprint For Illegal Aliens

 

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has a plan to deal with the massive influx of illegal immigrants. He should have a plan, one would think, because the Big Apple is a “Sanctuary City.”  So, what is his plan? Adams wants to send them elsewhere—anywhere else—by bribing them with the promise of free college and housing.

His plan, the “Asylum Seeker Blueprint,” would involve a partnership between the State University of New York and the nonprofit Center for Discovery. If put into place, the plan would “offer asylum seekers the opportunity to relocate to Sullivan County, attend SUNY Sullivan Community College, live in college residence halls and earn a post-secondary credential or degree.” Sullivan Community College is more than 100 miles away from New York City-- and Mayor Adams.

 

The city is also working on additional plans to “resettle” the illegal immigrants in other municipalities, yet officials stress that these are just plans for now, and that they may be altered—or never actually implemented.

“If you will just get the hell out of town, we will give you free tuition to a college anywhere at least 100 miles from here. Have a good education! Love you guys!”

*Jessica Bates, a single mother of five, recently filed a lawsuit against the Oregon Department of Human Services for allegedly denying her adoption application due to her Christian religious beliefs, according to a press release from the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). The press release stated that Bates attempted to apply with the department to adopt children in 2022. It added that her application was (allegedly) denied because her Christian beliefs would not allow her to “respect, accept, and support … the sexual orientation, gender identity, [and] gender expression” of the children in her care as the department’s adoption regulations require. It was not that long ago that it was considered a very good thing if parents wishing to adopt children possessed Christian values. Placing kids with a “good, loving, Christian family” was a thing. No longer, apparently. Progress?

*As it does annually at this time of year, the Returning to the Mount movement announced that it was offering rewards of tens of thousands of shekels for anyone who attempts or succeeds to sacrifice a Paschal lamb on the Temple Mount. Rafael Morris, the head of the Returning to the Mount movement, was recently detained by police on suspicion of doing just that. The officers who detained Morris informed him that they were going to search his home as well. If America’s Democrats had their druthers, they would set the lambs free and gleefully sacrifice Trump and his supporters, and traditional Christians in general.

 

*The “Associated Students of the University of Nevada at Reno” (ASUN), the university's student government, recently hosted a “Wolf Pack Drag Show” featuring drag show performer “Monique Heart.” An Instagram post advertising the annual event encouraged students and community members to attend the affair and experience "empowering performances" and to "bring one-dollar bills" to "tip & support" the performers. Yes, and encourage kids to bring their lunch money. Wieners or tuna tacos, kids? Or both! Yum! Maybe children who’ve lost a tooth could place it in a drag queen’s g-string. That would give new meaning to the term “tooth fairy!” Even better, perhaps the kids could get more than, say, a dollar for their lost tooth. Maybe the fairy could bring them a new crotch! Media Bias Reaching Preposterous Levels

 

Donald Trump’s post-indictment speech from Mar-a-Lago was broadcast nationwide, but ABC decided to blur out Trump’s podium, which gave the audience a number to text so they could receive official campaign notifications. It is sadly typical of the mainstream American media to try to erase reality. It would simply be pathetic if such a large percentage of the populace weren’t utterly ignorant of history and current affairs. But that is just the way Democrats like them. Need them to be, in fact. If the vast majority of people had a clue, Democrats would rarely ascend to power. (This explains the public school system.)

Fake news is all too real. No one in the legacy media has blurred out a message on a podium at which a Democrat was speaking. Yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if an unofficially state-affiliated outlet blurred out Trump’s face or utilized a computer-generated image (CGI) to add a chin wart and devil horns to his head when next he speaks before a national audience. Conversely, it is entirely plausible that one will enlarge and enhance any message on a podium at which a Democrat is speaking, while placing a CGI of a halo over his or her head.

The Fourth Estate abandoned its supposed objectivity and picked sides long ago. Its bias has quickly grown and metastasized in the past few years…to the point that it is a clear and present danger to the republic.

California Bill Proposes To Provide Free Condoms To Students

 

A bill proposed in the state of California would require public schools to make condoms available to students for free. Naturally, the proposal characterizes the provision of free condoms to students as an enlightened way to significantly decrease the number of sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies. (Of course, the kiddies’ condoms aren’t actually free, as their taxpayer parents—and all other taxpayers-- must pay for them.)

The measure declares, “Each public school serving any of grades 7 to 12, inclusive, shall allow the distribution of condoms during the course of, or in connection to, educational or public health programs and initiatives.” Perhaps we should just have a provider walk through algebra and English classes, ala a peanut vendor at a ballpark, shouting: “Get your condoms here! Free prophylactics! Ribbed Trojans for your partner’s pleasure! Extra-large semen reservoir at the tip! Free condoms here! Get your free condoms here!”

Democratic state Sen. Caroline Menjivar might well be in favor of that idea. She stated, by way of a press release: “By requiring free condoms in all California high schools, we are empowering the youth who decide to become sexually active to protect themselves and their partners from STIs, while also removing barriers that potentially shame them and lead to unsafe sex.” (The senator might want to consider dropping “Men” from her last name and going simply by Caroline Jivar…or maybe changing her last name to “Theyjivar” in the interest of inclusivity. And, let’s see, not having a condom could potentially shame students? Well, perhaps in California.)

Why is it that the public educational system now seems more concerned with discussing, depicting, and tutoring kids in the ways of sex-- the kinkier the better-- than it is with teaching them about, well, anything else? It seems that when teachers aren’t asking their young students about their kinkiest desires or fantasies, they are trying to find out what they are in person by sleeping with them. Overtly sexual— as well as inappropriate and unrelated to reading, writing, and arithmetic —material is even used to determine a part of students’ grades via quizzes and tests.

Not too many decades ago, middle and high school students were trading baseball cards and chewing bubble gum…for which they could be sent to the principal’s office or be otherwise disciplined. Now they are being given condoms and dental dams. (Back in the day, Prom Queens were revered. Today, drag queens are. And Prom Queens are sometimes boys.)

Sure, we should want to protect our offspring from sexually transmitted diseases. But we could help do this—and more—by protecting them from the socially transmitted diseases of progressivism and wokeism…and the irrationality and mental illness that are their hallmarks.

*A freight train recently derailed in Paradise, Montana, according to authorities. CNN reported that at least 25 train cars went off the track near Highway 135, leaking beer into the Clark Fork River approximately 200 miles northwest of Bozeman. To say there is trouble in Paradise is an understatement. In the past few months, trains have been derailing across the United States at an unprecedented rate. (Calling Pete Buttigieg.) The U.S. itself has gone tragically off track since, oh, about January 20, 2021.

*Some leftist protesters at the Tennessee State Capitol were captured on video holding up an extra finger during a moment of silence to mourn the recent killing of six people, including three 9-year-old children, at the hands of a crazed transgender shooter in a Nashville, Tennessee, Christian school. Ironically, the protesters who swarmed the Volunteer State’s Capitol were ostensibly protesting gun violence. Yet, in a video of the moment of silence, some protesters held up seven fingers instead of six, in a “tribute” to the transgender shooter. One protester hollered, "Every death is a tragedy, y'all! Seven lives!" No, the death of a crazed mass murderer before he/she can kill more innocent people is a blessing, asshole. I am holding up a middle finger to the protesters right now.

*Democrat state Rep. Anne Allen (!) Westbrook, during a recent legislative debate on SB 233, A.K.A. the Georgia Promise Scholarship Act, stated, “The question that came to my mind is: Who is my child?”  She replied to herself: “Every single child in Georgia. Every single one. Without exception. Not just my own. Not just the ones that I gave birth to.” Incredibly, she made this statement attacking school choice. “Progressives” in government literally think they know better how to educate and raise your kids than you do. “Progressives” oppose others’ choice to remain unvaccinated or purchase a firearm. They don’t believe in your choice to avail yourself of your free speech rights-- or even to own and operate a gas stove. A person’s “right” to choose to kill their own babies is the only choice in which they appear to believe.

*Washed-up pop star “Madonna” has announced that she will perform a concert in Nashville, Tennessee, to benefit “trans rights” groups-- while completely ignoring the families of the six victims who were killed by a “trans” shooter in last week’s Christian school massacre. That Madonna Louise Ciccone, American singer, songwriter, and actress, chose to be known simply as “Madonna” seems to me to be the height of appropriation. Especially in the wake of the slaughter at the Christian school, and her announcement-- during Easter Week—that she will be touting trans and dissing Christians. This modern Madonna is no virgin. And no lady.
