Most Democrat voters “decide” who
to vote for entirely on feelings. “I feel like Kamala is nicer than
Trump.” “I feel like she cares more about diversity.” Policy prescriptions and
their inevitable results be damned. Screw facts. Screw logic, rationality, and
reasoning. Screw the lessons of history. “I won’t let your facts get in the way
of my feelings!”
A very significant minority of
people vote not just on the basis of their feelings, but according to how they want
to feel. Reality doesn’t factor into their decision.
Tragically, these low-information
voters have a high impact on election results. And on the fate of the
country. And the world.
And that isn’t just the way I feel.
