Illinois Governor Seeks To Protect, Enhance Abortion Through Constitutional Amendment

 

Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker of Illinois recently called for a constitutional amendment to ensure maximum abortion access throughout the state.

Pritzker was sworn into office for his second term as governor on January 9th. He said this during his inaugural address: “The right to privacy and bodily autonomy demand that we establish a constitutional protection for reproductive rights in Illinois. The extremists still want to take away a woman’s right to choose and I don’t intend to let them. That’s why, yet again, on women’s rights, Illinois will lead.”

He added, “If given the chance, a bunch of right-wing judges and legislators will take away women’s rights. Illinois spoke loudly and decisively in 2022 and declared that in the land of Lincoln, we trust women.”

God, where to start? Actually…with God.

The Illinois Constitution explicitly states that “no person shall be deprived of life without due process of law.” This is based on the concept of natural rights so clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men.” The first of these unalienable rights is the right to life. Pritzker’s proposed amendment would be unconstitutional. And he certainly wasn’t for “the right to privacy and bodily autonomy” when it came to COVID policies and mandates. Nor is he when it comes to policies protecting citizens from government overreach, crime, or anything else.

The real extremists are the radical leftists that now control the Democratic Party. It is they who have nothing but contempt for women. Real women. As is made abundantly clear by, among other things, their rabid insistence that biological men be allowed into women’s bathrooms and locker rooms… and onto their sports teams.

Pritzker citing Lincoln on this matter, even as regards his state’s nickname, is repulsive. Honest Abe did his best by all Americans…of both sexes. But I doubt he would’ve been all-in for women’s “right” to kill their unborn children.  Nor were the Founders. More reason for progressives to disdain and disparage them. But their embrace of natural rights granted by our Creator was what set America apart…and on a path to unprecedented prosperity and decency.

Had they instead embraced the progressives’ “vision,” the Declaration might have read: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are the right to use any bathroom and locker room that they damn well please, the right to other people’s money, and the right to kill their unborn child. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men.”

Had they held those “truths” to be self-evident, instead of the right to “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness,” where would we be now?

Sadly, we may well be about to find out.

 

 

 

University's Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Summit Separated Participants By Race

 

A recent Portland State University diversity, equity and inclusion summit separated participants by identities—such as “White,” “Black,” “Native American,” and “Latinx”-- allegedly to help facilitate various discussions, according to a report in The College Fix. And those were just some of the labels placed on tables at the event.

According to a slide show from the event, posted by the university, participants were instructed to “Please sit at the tables that most align with your salient identities. You are also welcome to self-define multicultural and intersectional tables that extend beyond single definitions.” Well, that shouldn’t engender any confusion or chaos!

 

Katy Swordfisk, media relations manager for Portland State, told The College Fix that the daylong gathering “built on a series of affinity convenings that took place earlier in the year.” “Affinity convenings?”

 

Swordfish Swordfisk added via email, “Participants were invited to sit at a table that resonated with their identity (including Black, Latinx, White, Native American and Multicultural, as a few examples) for the first part of the day and shifted to tables by discussion topic later in the day.”

Is it not enough that some schools now have separate dorm rooms and graduation ceremonies for different races and even sexual identities? What’s next, separate bathrooms, buses, and drinking fountains? That sure would be “progressive!”

Men can use women’s bathrooms, however, and vice-versa. But let’s seat Blacks, Whites, Jews, Christians, conservatives, progressives, gays, lesbians, the Two-Spirited, and pansexuals at different tables. To facilitate conversations! Also, let’s separate those with long hair, short hair, blue eyes, and brown eyes from each other while we’re at it. But where would, say, a black lesbian agnostic sit?

Can the place settings from one table be used at another? Or are they separate, too? And isn’t the whole damn thing moot if one can self-identify as whatever one wishes? I would ask where this all will end, but, channeling my inner Paul Harvey, the answer is—or should be-- “too obvious to require elaboration.”

Into how many more groups can these imbeciles divide and splinter us? This is the reverse of what the country was founded on and intended to be. Instead of e pluribus unum (out of many, one), Democrats now follow the credo: ex uno multis…out of one, many. To the rabid intersectionalists, we are not all Americans, we are nothing more than members of a tribe or tribes. They wish to pit neighbor against neighbor and see our society ever further atomized, so it is easier for them to control us.

And, tragically, it is working. In large part due to our colleges and universities.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion is a sham. And anything but helpful. Or inclusive.

 

 

Feminists Pleaded For Leniency For "Trans Woman" Who Killed Ex-Girlfriend

 

Scott McLaughlin said, “I’m f**king killing that bitch.” After doing just that, he came back covered in Beverly Guenther’s blood. When he led the police to his ex-girlfriend’s body, they found her naked from the chest down with her bra stained red with her own blood. McLaughlin admitted to stabbing Guenther. Over and over again. The subsequent autopsy found evidence that he may also have strangled and raped her.

McLaughlin had repeatedly assaulted Guenther when they were dating. He later stalked her, broke into her home and threatened her. She obtained an order of protection against him. A police officer walked her from her job to her car for a week.

Scott Mclaughlin had previously served time for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.

And because he eventually claimed to be a woman, feminists pleaded with authorities to spare his her life.

You see, while in prison, Scott “became” Amber, hair held back in ringlets, rose-colored lipstick gracing “her” lips. Scott was granted a genuine, official, taxpayer-funded gender transition three years ago.

So, so-called feminists took to social media and posted selfies while wearing pink nail polish to protest McLaughlin’s execution. Some gathered in the rain outside of his her prison waving pink signs stating “#ClemencyforAmber.” Apparently, McLaughlin had urged people “to wear pink in solidarity” with him her. So, females actually made sad faces and held pink fingernails up to the camera(s), demanding that Scott Amber be spared the death penalty. They formed a circle and held up candles. In defense of a man who stalked, strangled, raped, and killed a woman-- and sexually assaulted a young girl. Feminists, indeed.

But that’s not all. Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), of “Squad” infamy, co-signed a letter urging Missouri’s governor to save McLaughlin’s life because, while he may have beaten, raped, and stabbed a woman to death (and also sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl), “she was also silently struggling with her identity, grappling with what we now understand is gender dysphoria.” Yes, naturally, when one wants to be a member of the opposite sex, one assaults and murders them. A right of passage, so to speak.

Bush went on to state, “Ms. McLaughlin’s cruel execution would mark the state’s first use of the death penalty on a woman since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated capital punishment in 1976.” No, it wouldn’t, because “Ms. McLaughlin” is actually Mr. McLaughlin, a man. For saying that, authorities will surely demand that I attend “re-education camp” (as Canadian authorities have of psychologist Jordan Peterson), where I will have the “opportunity” to have “stimulating” electrodes attached to my cranium until my thinking has been straightened out. 1984 is here, albeit 39 years late.

Moreover, Bethany Mann, the Democrat congressional candidate for the Show-Me State’s 3rd district, in conjunction with the Missouri Democratic LGBTQ Caucus preposterously expectorated, “we resoundingly reject the violence in executing a member of the LGBTQIA+ community during a time of increased attacks and hateful rhetoric across America.”

Perhaps Mann (!) and the Missouri Democratic LGBTQ Caucus should “resoundingly reject the violence” against innocent women and girls that McLaughlin perpetuated.

I will close by noting that Elyse Max, an anti-Israel activist who moonlights as the co-director of something called Missourians for Alternatives, recently insisted: “Amber is a gentle human.”

Tell that to Beverly Guenther’s loved ones. People—of “any gender”—who stab, strangle, and rape others are not “gentle humans.” Period. Scott Amber was not “a gentle human.”

Nor was he a woman.

Biden Administration Extending COVID Emergency Yet Again

 

The Biden administration recently announced that it has extended the Covid-19 public health emergency until the sun expires April, ostensibly due to a highly transmissible omicron subvariant stoking concerns that the U.S. may face another wave of illness from the disease this winter.

A spokesperson for the Health and Human Services Department stated, “The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency remains in effect, and as HHS committed to earlier, we will provide a 60-day notice to states before any possible termination or expiration.”

The first emergency was declared in early 2020. In September, President Biden declared “The pandemic is over.” In fairness to the Addled One, he might have been referring to the Swine Flu Pandemic of 2009-2010… or possibly the Plague of Justinian circa 541-542 A.D.

Expect the administration to keep extending the “emergency” as it has repeatedly for the past couple of years. I fully expect them to extend the emergency in 2024 before leaving office, due to the sub-subvariant MICKEYMOUSE.1984.666.

Even authoritarians can wax nostalgic. So, “one more time for all the old times.”

 

 

USC's School Of Social Work Bans The Word "Field"

 

The University of Southern California’s School of Social Work recently put out a letter declaring it would no longer use the word "field" when referring to one's area of expertise, etc. It will henceforth use the word "practicum” instead.

And we are all a little dumber. And our language less clear.

Why did USC’s SSW make the change?

Let the letter explain: "Specifically, we have decided to remove the term 'field' from our curriculum and practice and replace it with 'practicum.’ This change supports anti-racist social work practice by replacing language that could be considered anti-Black or anti-immigrant in favor of inclusive language. Language can be powerful, and phrases such as 'going into the field' or 'field work' may have connotations for descendants of slavery and immigrant workers that are not benign."

Language can be powerful, but certainly not when used in this way. The woke mob always attempts to emasculate, enervate, and confuse language—just as it does people.

African-Americans are not the only people to "go into the field” or perform “field work.” Since time immemorial, people around the world have had to till fields and engage in backbreaking work-- planting, harvesting, and baling—to survive. Countless farmers of European descent and Asian descent, among others, have toiled in the field from sunrise to sunset to make a living. White farmers in the Midwest and Plains states braved extreme cold, heat, humidity, lightning, hail, and tornadoes-- not to mention drought, flood, and crop failure—from the 1800s through the Dust Bowl years and beyond, trying to keep their finances (and sometimes their crops) from drying up. Or going “underwater.”

If “field” is verboten, we will have to rename baseball positions and parks. No more “center field” or “Wrigley Field,” etc. Football’s “field goal” will have to give way to a different term. Entire cities must be renamed. So much for “Bakersfield” and “Springfield,” for example. And, sorry Mrs. Fields, but your cookie outlets will have to be rebranded.  Hope the cost of doing so isn’t prohibitive, but, racism, you know. The Beatle’s iconic “Strawberry Fields Forever?” Ash heap of history. Maybe “Strawberry Practicum Forever.”

It may seem like I’m having a field day with this totally unnecessary, illegitimate virtue signaling and the resultant continued bastardization of language, but, after all, it came out of left field.

 

 

Brooklyn Librarians Fight To Keep Pornographic Books In Schools, Receive Award

 

Librarian Jackson Gomes and his intrepid colleagues at the Brooklyn Public Library have taken up (figurative) arms to fight what Gomes claims is a War on Books. Theirs is a movement, he avers. One he hopes will continue to grow.

 

Gomes was stirred to action by the recent accounts of parents’ and conservative lawmakers’ attempts to get certain extremely graphic—and shall we say “sexually diverse”-- books removed from school libraries.

 

"When I work with kids, it worries me that they don’t have access to freedom to read books," Gomes said. So, he and several other librarians leapt to action and started their own book club called "Books Unbanned” to make certain that our youngsters continue to have access to books filled with gay porn and transgender propaganda. (This so impressed the folks at Library Journal that it has already named them librarians of the year.)

"Books Unbanned" offers young readers the precious chance to read books that have been banned in libraries and classrooms in parts of the US. (Translation: “red states.”) The plucky librarians issue kids an electronic library card that gives online access to the banned titles…screw parents and their elected representatives! More than 6,000 teenagers have requested the cards since the program launched last spring.

Sarcasm aside, Gomes’ assertion that kids “don’t have access to freedom to read books” is patently absurd. They have both the freedom and the access to read books appropriate for their age level. Fiction, nonfiction, books about sports, biographies, history, reference books. They can even read, gasp, the classics if they so desire and possess the reading competency to do so.

Schools are not obligated to give kids access to gay porn or other shockingly explicit books. To argue otherwise is to say kids should have the freedom to access R or XXX-rated movies. Why not just leave Hustler and Penthouse magazines around the school? And why stop there? If librarians and “educators” like Gomes don’t believe in the concept of age appropriateness, why not remove age restrictions on cigarettes and alcohol? And you know they’d be virulently against that.

Why is it these people want kids to have access to porn and genital mutilation/chemical castration “gender-affirming care?” After all, these are often the same people who are all-in for banning “hate speech” and preventing conservatives from speaking. They welcome and foster cancel culture. You can be sure they aren’t featuring conservative books in their libraries. But the request to remove a handful of wildly inappropriate books is worth going to “war” over?

Why the hell are they so gung-ho to sexualize our children?

 

 

Mars Announces New All-Female M&M Packs

 

Mars recently announced the release of its first-ever packs of all-female M&M's. The candy company says the packages "celebrate women everywhere who are flipping the status quo." (And flicking the bean.) The new endeavor is specifically in celebration of lesbians and overweight women. (“Fat positivity!”)

 

Gabrielle Wesley, Chief Marketing Officer for Mars Wrigley North America, stated: "The M&M's brand is on a mission to use the power of fun to create purposeful connections, as we work to create a world where everyone feels they belong. Women all over the world are flipping how they define success and happiness while challenging the status quo, so we're thrilled to be able to recognize and celebrate them – and who better to help us on that mission than our own powerhouse spokes-candies Green, Brown and Purple?" Quite.

 

Mars has even encouraged the public to nominate women who are in some way "flipping the status quo" for the chance to be featured on M&M's platforms and receive $10,000 grants to further fund their progressive performance art.

 

The historically woke M&M's packs will be released starting in January, several weeks ahead of International Women's Day in March. 

When will we see a M&M dedicated to “trans positivity?” (Would a man-to-woman or woman-to-man transition be more celebrated?) And who wouldn’t welcome a pansexual M&M? What color would these diminutive confections be? Could the former be one color before one grasps it and another after? And the latter somehow be every color at once? How cool would that be?

And what of other candies in this race to wokeness? “Mr. Goodbar” will have to be renamed for obvious reasons. “Oh Henry!” Will as well. The former could simply be rebranded as “Ms. Goodbar” or perhaps “They Goodbar.” The latter could henceforth be called “Oh, Henrietta!”

“Mike & Ike” might be okay. “Baby Ruth” could be problematic. “Black Cow” could be seen as either a tribute to overweight Black women or as an intolerable slur that must be renamed with all due haste. And the unimaginatively named “Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar” could be renamed to please the LGBTQ community. “Hershey Highway Bar” it is!

Now that would be “woke!” And cheeky! And delicious!  

 

 

 

Ashli Babbitt Murdered, Mother Arrested, U.S. Now A Police State

 

U.S. Capitol police recently arrested Micki Witthoeft, the mother of Ashli Babbitt, the woman who was fatally shot two years ago by Capitol police officer Michael Byrd during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. On Jan. 6, 2023, the anniversary of Ashli’s death. Yet Byrd, the Capitol police officer who murdered Ashli-- a diminutive, unarmed veteran posing no danger to anyone-- was never charged, his actions never investigated. Despite the fact that he has a documented history of mishandling forearms. (For example, accidentally leaving a loaded handgun in a Capitol bathroom.)

Witthoeft was part of a small group peacefully protesting Ashli’s death while walking down the side of a street. Police claim they were blocking traffic. Video footage shows a police officer telling them to move to the sidewalk or they would be arrested. Witthoeft then turned her back to police and was promptly handcuffed and arrested, essentially for jaywalking. The same police force that murdered her daughter arrested her for jaywalking…on the anniversary of her daughter’s death that she was protesting.

If Ashli Babbitt’s mother had donned Atifa attire and burned down a Target, she would have been okay. In fact, liberals like Kamala Harris would have given her moral—and probably financial—support. Had Ashli herself simply robbed a Walgreen’s or threatened a conservative justice of the Supreme Court, she would still be alive.

This is beyond disgusting, beyond repulsive, beyond sickening. It is sheer in-your-face evil, the state bludgeoning those it rules over because it can—and desires to intimidate anyone thinking of disobeying it in the future. Killing a petite, unarmed, female veteran? That’s okay if she was a Trump supporter and you are protecting the establishment. Guilty of “wrong-think?” Then you must pay the price.

Even “progressives” can only tolerate so much “diversity,” right?

 

 

 

 

 

Nancy Pelosi Calls House Democrats "The Greatest Collection Of Intellect, Integrity, And Imagination Assembled..."

 

Just when one thinks one has heard everything…one is proven wrong.

Outgoing Speaker of the Blouse Louse House Nancy Pelosi recently wrote her last “Dear Colleague” letter to her Democratic co-conspirators/comrades. In this missive she stated, “During the 117th Congress, President Biden and Congressional Democrats have put forth a shining vision of justice for all. Together, we have worked tirelessly to infuse this value into our legislative efforts.  We can all take immense pride in our achievements toward that goal, which is making a real difference in the lives of the American people.”

Justice? For all? Tell that to all those still rotting in prison, without conviction or charge, for strolling through the People’s House on January 6^th, 2021. Tell that to those who were snatched from their homes in the wee hours of the morning by armed feds when a simple summons to appear would have sufficed. Tell that to all those whose jobs were considered unessential. Tell that to all those in the military who were discharged because they wouldn’t accept an experimental substance into their bodies. Tell that to all those who have lost loved ones to violent crime, rates of which skyrocketed in the past two years due to Democrat policies—or to those who have lost loved ones to fentanyl because Democrats absolutely refuse to police our southern border. And tell it to America’s rapidly dwindling middle class, beset by historic inflation, supply chain problems, and rising taxes.

“Democrat” is to “justice” as “atheist” is to “faith.”

Pelosi closed her letter by stating that she was confident that the new House Democratic leadership would do a bang up job, too, and would always remain faithful “to our shared mission to safeguard our treasured Democracy For The People.”

There it is again: “our treasured Democracy.” “For The People.” In all capitals. She must really mean it. Of course, what Democrats really mean when they speak of how much they treasure our democracy is: “don’t anyone even think of challenging our power and control.”

Before closing, Pelosi penned what should be a shoo-in for the Most Preposterous Statement of the year…if not in recorded history. She wrote: “One final thought that I wanted to leave with you is my belief that the House Democratic Caucus is the greatest collection of intellect, integrity and imagination assembled for the good of the American people.”

She was referring to the likes of Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Jerrold Nadler, all of whose IQs wouldn’t add up to Thomas Jefferson’s.

You could find a greater collection of intellect in any day care center in America. You could find a greater collection of integrity in any whorehouse or prison. Imagination? Well, Pelosi might be closer to the truth on that one…given her statement on House Democrats’ intellect and integrity.

 

 

White Is Blight?

 

Some time ago, Unilever removed all references to “white” and “whitening” from its skin care products and also changed the name of its “Fair & Lovely” brand, because, you know, “fair” and “lovely” are awful words with despicable connotations. At the time, Unilever, the parent company of many brands, including Dove, Ponds and Vaseline, said it wanted to promote a “more inclusive vision of beauty.” To that end, it also removed the words “fair,” “fairness,” “light,” and “lightening” from all its products. The replacement brand name for the erstwhile “Fair & Lovely” line of products was/will be revealed once legal and regulatory requirements are met in each nation where the products are available. The company added that, even though it’s changing the brand name, Fair & Lovely products never included a skin-bleaching product and used natural ingredients such as vitamin B3, glycerin, and UVA/UVB sunscreens to protect skin of any color. Well, that’s good to know, because I was previously under the assumption that using a “Fair & Lovely” product immediately rendered one white as a sheet.

The French cosmetics behemoth L’Oreal promptly followed suit, announcing that it was removing repulsive words like “whitening” from its products. The company issued a short statement, part of which read, “The L’Oreal Group has decided to remove the words white/whitening, fair/fairness, light/lightening from all its skin evening products.” The decisions by Unilever and L’Oreal came hard on the heels of those by other giant consumer products companies to dispense with long-time brand names and logos. (See also, Land-O-Lakes, Uncle Bens, Aunt Jemima, etc., etc.)

Moreover, several realtors have announced that they will no longer refer to “master bedrooms” or “master bathrooms,” opting instead for the less offensive descriptors “primary bedrooms” and “primary bathrooms.” You can bet that Mastercard, Master Chef and Master Lock will all be changing their names soon. The words “mastermind” and “masterpiece” will soon be expunged from the language, as well.

Terms such as “white elephant,” “white knight,” and “white noise” won’t be far behind. Tangible things like “white boards,” “white gold,” “white pines,” “white Russians,” “white rice,” “white vinegar,” “white wine,” and “white zinfandel” will have to be renamed or banned outright. The act of “white water rafting” will be fraught with less peril than the utterance of the phrase. The iconic kid’s book “White Fang” will need to be retitled, as will popular television shows like Netflix’s “White Lines,” even though the former is based on the actual color of a canine tooth and the latter on the demonstrably colorless drug cocaine. The regionally beloved fast-food chain “White Castle,” home of “the slider,” will have to be brought to heal, too. Perhaps it can rebrand itself “Peoples’ of Color Castle,” or “POCC.” Speaking of iconic, the Beatle’s “White Album” is obviously a thinly disguised ode to white supremacy and will have to be rechristened. Maybe it could be re-released with the addition of several Rap songs and retitled the “BLM Album.” For Black Lives Matter, not Beatles’ Lives Matter.

Of course, if all iterations of “master,” “white” and “whitening” must be airbrushed from the English language, as well as those of “fair,” “lovely,” “light” and “lightening,” then those of their synonyms must be excommunicated, too. “Illumination,” “brightness,” “luminescence,” “shining,” “gleaming,” “brilliance,” “radiance,” “luster,” “glow,” “dazzle,” “incandescence,“ “phosphorescence,” “torch,” and “beacon” must be verboten, too. The same for “ability,” “intellect,” “intelligence,” “knowledge,” “skill,” “talent,” and “understanding.”

And then the synonyms and iterations of those words will have to be removed like so many Confederate statues, and so on and so on, until one day there will be no words left. Our vocabulary will be as stripped down and barren as our history.

And we will stand there in the darkness—mute, dumb, clueless, unmoored, adrift—and wonder where the light went.
