Pennsylvania Gov. Bans Sale Of Alcohol On Thanksgiving Eve

 

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf has banned the sale of alcohol at bars and restaurants across the state from 5 P.M. Wednesday, November 25^th , until 8 A.M. Thanksgiving Day, November 26^th. Wolf says the 15-hour prohibition is needed to protect Keystone State residents from the coronavirus.

“It turns out that the biggest day for drinking is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving,” cried Wolf. He added, “When people get together in that situation, it leads to an increase in the exchange of fluids. That leads to an increase in infection.”

So, it’s not enough for Gov. Wolf to impose indoor-- and outdoor-- mask mandates on the citizens of his state, nor to limit Thanksgiving Day gatherings to no more than a handful of people from a single household. Wolf now wants to dictate when/where/if people can “exchange fluids.”

The ban on alcohol sales on the busiest night of the year will be devastating to the small, independent bars, brewpubs and restaurants that are already hurting due to COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. And it is particularly hypocritical and bizarre considering Gov. Wolf has been pushing for the Quaker State’s General Assembly to pass legislation legalizing the widespread sale and use of recreational marijuana, with a portion of the revenue generated by legalization to be given to “historically disadvantaged businesses” and “to further restorative justice programs that give priority to repairing the harm done to crime victims and communities as a result of marijuana criminalization.”

It is unclear how a 15-hour Prohibition Era will diminish the spread of the coronavirus, unless Wolf thinks it’s spread by drinking Coronas. (Although it’s apparently okay to start quaffing them again at 8:01 A.M. Thanksgiving morning).

Many of the ongoing intrusive lockdowns, mandates, and other edicts and decrees affecting nearly all aspects of citizens’ lives, including their ability to make a living, are in violation of the First, Fourth-- and possibly Ninth and Tenth-- Amendments to the United States Constitution.

It is ironic that Independence Hall, the building where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were adopted, is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ben Franklin, a long-time resident of the state, purportedly said: “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy,” though some insist that the quote is inaccurate and that Franklin actually said something similar about wine. In any case, the Founders believed elected officials should be temporary public servants, in the truest and purest sense of the word, whose power should be derived directly from the people and be checked and limited in every respect. They would not have tolerated governors dictating decrees in the manner of King George III. They would not have tolerated a governor claiming to have the right and power to decide when/where/if citizens could “exchange fluids.”

History recalls the “Boston Tea Party,” colonists’ bold defiance and rejection of a relatively insignificant tax on tea. Perhaps Pennsylvanians should take part in a “Philadelphia Freedom Party” or “Pennsylvania Beer Bash” on Wednesday night. Maybe even show up outside the Governor’s mansion in Harrisburg and toast the esteemed gentleman. “Hooray for Wolf, hooray at last! Hooray for Wolf…he’s a horse’s ass!”

Just sayin’.

Gov. Cuomo Bans Gatherings Of More Than 10 People For Thanksgiving

 

In response to the recent spread of the coronavirus, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that all social gatherings in the state, including those in private homes, would be limited to a maximum of ten people. That the order is unconstitutional bothered him not at all.

Apparently, it did, however, bother some law enforcement officers, a number of whom have said they will not enforce Killer Cuomo’s decree. Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino was among them. Giardino stated via a Facebook post: “With regard to the Thanksgiving Executive Order, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office will NOT be enforcing it against our County residents.” Washington County Sheriff Jeff Murphy, Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard, and Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo shared Giardino’s sentiments, according to the New York Post.

“I can’t see how devoting our resources to counting cars in citizens’ driveways or investigating how much turkey and dressing they’ve purchased is for the public good,” Zurlo said in a recent news release. Sounds reasonable, neighborly and in keeping with American values.

But, this news didn’t sit well with Governor Death. Cuomo savaged any and all sheriffs in the Empire State who are opting out of his power play. He held a news conference in Albany at which he said, “I don’t believe as a law enforcement officer you have a right to pick and choose what laws you will enforce.” (Perhaps they want to limit themselves to enforcing the legal ones, A.C., not the ones infringing citizens’ basic rights). Cuomo told reporters that an executive order “is a law” and that the issue “has been litigated.” Cuomo, in a snit, went on to say: “There’s a law, and you have to enforce the law, or don’t call yourself a law enforcement officer.” In full tantrum mode, he added that the opinion of an officer about a law “doesn’t matter.” He would have been a perfect fit for the Third Reich, circa 1938.

The self-proclaimed “Lov Gov” said the attitude of the intransigent sheriffs “is, frankly, frightening to me as an individual, frightening to democracy. It’s arrogant, and it violates your constitutional duty.”

Wow. Talk about the pot calling the kettle Black!

Telling people they may be punished if they gather with their family and friends in their own homes to celebrate Thanksgiving is frightening to any reasonable, sentient being. The kind of arrogance it takes to issue that kind of an order is “frightening to democracy,” if anything could be. And, as previously mentioned, unconstitutional. As always, leftists project.

Cuomo’s absurd hypocrisy and sanctimoniousness is most apparent when you realize New York is a sanctuary state, New York City a sanctuary city. These entities blatantly defy federal law by welcoming and protecting illegal aliens, often providing them with undeserved benefits that even citizens don’t get and refuse to allow I.C.E. or any other federal agency to come near them. Maybe morons like Cuomo shouldn’t have the right to pick and choose which federal laws they will enforce. Governors (and mayors) like Cuomo certainly should not be able to renege on their sworn promise to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States without facing the consequences.

Instead, he will be presented with an Emmy award “In recognition of his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic & his masterful use of TV to inform & calm people around the world.”

As someone once said: “Beam me up, Scotty, there’s no intelligent life here.”

 

 

Ouroboros Steaks: Cannibalism Or Sustainable Meat Source?

 

              The London-based Design Museum has nominated the “Ouroboros Steak” as its design of the year. What is the “Ouroboros Steak” you ask? It is steak made from human cells and expired donated blood. The human steak kits were created by scientist Andrew Pelling and artists Orkan Telhan and Grace Knight. The trio were commissioned by the Philadelphia Museum of Art for an exhibit in 2019, and have stated that the exhibit was created in critical response to the burgeoning lab-grown meat industry, which is reliant upon fetal bovine serum, derived from the blood of calf fetuses.

              Pelling told Dezeen Magazine, “As the lab-grown meat industry is developing rapidly, it is important to develop designs that expose some of its underlying constraints in order to see beyond the hype.” Knight noted, “Expired human blood is a waste material in the medical system and is cheaper and more sustainable than FBS, but culturally less accepted.” Gee, I wonder why.

              The “Ouroboros Steak” is named after the ancient alchemic symbol of a snake eating its own tail, and could be “grown” in about three months from cells taken from inside a human’s cheek. Creeped out yet? Unsure of the ethics behind the potential new food source? Not to worry, its makers/designers say that partaking of these human steaks would not “technically” be cannibalism. After all, cannibalism is consuming another individual of your species, not just something you grew from your own body.

              Telhan noted, “We are not promoting ‘eating ourselves’ as a realistic solution that will fix humans’ protein needs. We rather ask a question: what would be the sacrifices we need to make to be able to keep consuming meat at the pace that we are? In the future, who will be able to afford animal meat and who may have no other option than culturing meat from themselves?” Who indeed? A lovely topic on which to ruminate, no?

              According to Fox News, the product’s website states, “Growing yourself ensures that you and your loved ones always know the origin of your food, how it has been raised, and that its cells were acquired ethically and consensually.”

              The Design Museum website notes, “Ouroboros Steak is a DIY meal kit for growing gourmet steaks from one’s own cells. It comes as a starter kit of tools, ingredients and instructions that enable users to culture their own cells into mini steaks, without causing harm to animals.”

              This seems to be the perfect product for these times. A surefire winner for 2020. Stay in your own home and eat yourself. “Umm, boy, that’s tasty! Wonder what goes good with me?” Governor’s Newsome, Whitmer, Brown, Walz, Wolf, Cuomo, et. al., would be so proud!

              If the aforementioned governors ever release their citizens from their endless lockdowns, I predict that an Ouroboros Steakhouse restaurant chain will be launched. Instead of BYOB, “bring your own booze,” it will be BYOS, or “bring your own steak.”  

I can already picture the branding and promotional material. “Ouroboros Steakhouse is Youroboros Steakhouse. Because you’ve got a steak in this, too!”

              Or perhaps, “Ouroboros Steakhouse…because it’s hard to beat your own meat!”

Authoritarian Politicians To Keep Americans Locked Down?

 

 Indiana University Health recently announced that it will bravely stand “against racism, injustice, and inaction.”  (Somebody has to! And a university, at that! The rest of us are all for inaction, injustice and racism!) IU’s health system has vowed to view and fight racism as a “public health crisis.” It will join two other Indianapolis hospital networks in essentially treating racism as if it were a disease. The three hospitals issued a joint statement claiming that systemic racism in the healthcare industry can lead to less desirable outcomes among minority communities. Ergo, the institutions vow to be “focused on improving access to care and eliminating racial biases that contribute to poor health outcomes.”

Apart from the fact that the only systemic racism in America today is that universally and incessantly directed at white people and their supposed (and assumedly “systemic”) “privilege,” treating racism of any form as a health crisis is just another way of allowing government to dictate every aspect of our lives. “Health experts” and progressives are labeling more and more things as “public health crises” every day. If the COVID-19 pandemic ever goes away, the “systemic racism public health crisis” can seamlessly take its place. Rampant homelessness is waiting in the wings, too. As are depression, alcoholism, opioid abuse and heart disease. Add to those the clear public health threats of Lyme Disease, incontinence, the heartbreak of psoriasis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Dupuytren’s Contracture, and the New Totalitarians will have an endless number of excuses for an endless number of new laws, requirements, and mandates. In light of these terrible “public health crises,” lockdowns and mail-in voting will become as inescapable and eternal as death and taxes.

Welcome to the Grand Illusion. We’ve all been duped. COVID-1984, though very real, was also an excuse, a prelude to the nearly nationwide lockdown(s). The intense and unrelenting campaign of terror conducted by the government and media surrounding the coronavirus soon morphed into the equally intense and unrelenting drive to get all of us to vote by mail. Which, in turn, allowed an election to be stolen.

Sickeningly, the “elites” in positions of influence and power knew how this was going to play out all along. Because they planned it. If you think they truly, deeply care about the health of people of color-- or that of the deplorable chumps in flyover country-- you are sadly mistaken. The new serfdom awaits us all.

“Public health crisis?” Systemic corruption and cheating by the Deep State to steal an election clearly constitutes a “public health crisis” of the highest order. And it is one from which the republic is unlikely to recover.

*Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently admitted that the coronavirus pandemic was providing an “opportunity” for globalists to usher in the Great Reset and the 2030 Agenda For Sustainable Development, originally known as Agenda 21. This is a plan to rob developed Western nations of wealth and hand it to less developed nations often led by corrupt dictators, while necessarily abridging the freedoms of those in the formerly successful Western nations. Sheeple, it might be time to let your elected officials and swamp-dwelling bureaucrats know that you aren’t okay with this.

*Islington, England, Police halted a baptism—yes, a baptism-- service after roughly 30 worshippers gathered in contravention of national lockdown restrictions. Regan King, lead pastor at The Angel Church, dared to defend his decision to hold the service, saying it served "the greater good". After officers halted the service, Pastor King agreed to hold a brief “socially distanced outdoor gathering in the church’s courtyard…while four officers stood at the courtyard’s entrance to prevent people from entering. Weddings and baptisms are currently outlawed in formerly Jolly Old England, meaning, I guess, that only outlaws get married or baptized. The government does graciously allow funerals, though they can only be attended by a maximum of 30 people. Let’s hope you don’t have a large family or many close friends.

*In Minnesota, for the next four weeks (at least), Gov. Walz has decreed that social gatherings can only consist of a maximum of 10 people from one household, including the host. That will make for a nice Thanksgiving. What does the minimum consist of? Yourself? Killing your family proactively? Walz also put the kibosh on youth sports-- and shut down bars, restaurants, entertainment venues and fitness clubs, thereby sentencing untold thousands to destitution, depression, and obesity. At least Minnesotans can be thankful that he hasn’t mandated that husbands and wives sleep in separate rooms. Oh, and he hasn’t abolished Christmas…yet.

*Meanwhile…The Parole Board of Canada is allowing Carlos Larmond, a convicted ISIS terrorist living in Calgary, to go skiing with his new girlfriend in the mountains this winter. Larmond, Part of an Ottawa extremist group, was arrested in Montreal in January 2015 as he was leaving for Syria to join ISIS along with his twin brother, Ashton. He was jailed for seven years shortly thereafter. Oh, and he was also convicted of threatening to kill a corrections officer while in pretrial custody. Less than a year ago, the Parole Board ordered Larmond, 29, to live at a half-way house in Calgary because he was deemed dangerous and posed an “undue risk to society.” Now, however, the self-same Parole Board sympathetically noted that Larmond had “developed a new relationship,” and was engaged to be married following several visits with his girlfriend. According to a copy of the decision, the Board added, of Larmond, “You have indicated a desire to spend more time with her on her next visit, and also to perhaps do some skiing in the mountains this winter.” Perhaps. Or maybe they will even snowboard or snow-tube! Calgary, too, is under a general COVID-19 lockdown. Unless, apparently, you are a horny terrorist who has snowed the local authorities.

 

Diversity And Inclusion

              Progressives unending push for greater diversity and inclusion has resulted in the exclusion of conservatives from campus, the removal or destruction of historical monuments across the fruited plain, all-black dorms at several universities, all-black graduation ceremonies, and even the first ever all-female space-walk. Traditional white males have been banished to the ash-heap of history. Can’t get more inclusive and diverse than that!

              I have no problem with the all-female space-walk, of course, but the drive to destroy conservatives and relegate men and Christians to the status of second-class citizens in the name of diversity and inclusion boggles a sane person’s mind. “Toxic masculinity” (meaning traditional male roles and behavior) is practically considered a hate crime. Males are routinely portrayed in movies and television as either cold, calculating predators or bumbling, incompetent idiots. The only males that progressives approve of are metrosexuals and those who identify as females, not that there’s much difference between the two. Males who say they are female are welcomed into women’s locker rooms and bathrooms. If Harvey Weinstein had just claimed to be female in recent years, he might have avoided being tossed in the slammer.

              Where does it end? I can see a time in the near future when there is an IHOP run exclusively by African-American lesbians or a Burger King employing only gay mulatto men. “I’ve got your Whopper right here! Want fries with that?”

              Graduation ceremonies will likely be broken down even further in the fractured future. Wednesday night bisexual Norwegian transvestites will receive their degrees, while Thursday night will exclusively honor male Muslim graduates named Muhammed.

  So much for e Pluribus Unum. But this is all by design. Progressives utilize class warfare and create a sense of victimhood, despair and entitlement. They divide to conquer. As Saul Alinsky said, “The despair is there; now it’s up to us to go in and rub raw the sores of discontent, galvanize them for radical social change.” Change that will bring them power. For progressives are never happy unless they are controlling the lives of others.

 

 

 

Barack Obama: Americans Were "Spooked By A Black Man In The White House"

 

              Former President Barack Hussein Obama is coming out with a new book titled “A Promised Land,” in which he claims his presidency inadvertently spawned a rebirth of racism in America. He wrote: "It was as if my very presence in the White House had triggered a deep-seated panic, a sense that the natural order had been disrupted.”

              Strangely, Obama averred: “Which is exactly what Donald Trump understood when he started pedaling assertions that I had not been born in the United States and was thus an illegitimate president.” Baseless or not, that claim has nothing per se to do with racism.

              Obama then added, “For millions of Americans spooked by a Black man in the White House, he promised an elixir for their racial anxiety."

 Really? Widespread racism you say? Systemic, probably? Countless millions “spooked by a Black man in the White House?” Is that why Obama was easily elected to a second term? I bet Americans were spooked by a handicapped man in the White House, too. Bigots! Serial marginalizers! That must be why they elected Franklin Delano Roosevelt to four consecutive terms in office.

Imagine, then, how much these backward, intolerant Americans must fear and disdain a Black woman! I guess that’s why Oprah Winfrey has been one of the most influential, wealthy, and admired people in the country for many years running now.

No one ever says, “The only reason you didn’t vote for Donald Trump is because you hate white men!” If anyone did, no one would take that person seriously. But progressives continue their deranged and incessant assault on America and more traditional Americans. If they continue to be successful in instilling fear and self-loathing in a significant percentage of Americans, especially young people, it will soon lead to a dramatically less confident, safe, stable, happy and prosperous nation…and one that eventually will lose the will to defend itself. “A Promised Land” no longer.

 

 

China And Biden Existential Threats

 

The Chinese government, i.e. the Chinese Communist Party or CCP, is the most dangerous entity on the face of the planet today. It has a clear aim of global domination (see its “Belt and Road” initiative) and is actively using coercion to get what it wants around the world. Much like Imperial Japan it is an existential threat to its neighbors, and like Nazi Germany it appears to believe that, through economic and military power, it can successfully achieve its goals around the world. Add to this barely concealed bribery and massive ongoing espionage campaigns and the CCP is a formidable force. The fact that it firmly believes an America without Donald Trump at the helm lacks the will to confront it on any level in any substantive way leads any reasonable person to be deeply concerned about the very near future.

Joe Biden, a Manchurian Candidate if ever there was one, promises to pay much more attention to climate change, transgender rights, and The Squad’s Socialist agenda than to any threat China might pose. This despite the fact that China essentially launched a biological weapons attack on the U.S. and the rest of the world when it allowed travelers to take flights out of Wuhan to other nations long after it strictly and aggressively prohibited citizens of Wuhan from traveling anywhere else within China due to the Wuhan Virus. The CCP also misled the World Health Organization (WHO) as to the origins of the China Virus and the early extent of its spread.

And now China has intervened to prevent Taiwan, which reportedly hasn’t had a locally transmitted coronavirus infection in seven months, from participating in WHO meetings to explain how it was successful in controlling COVID-19. Taiwan has asked to participate in WHO meetings so that it could share its experience in dealing with the virus, but the Chinese government has achieved undue influence over the organization and considers Taiwan to be a rogue province that must be brought to heel.

Moreover, China has been engaged in a misinformation campaign designed to convince the world that the CCP has been more effective in its authoritarian efforts to contain the virus than free (or freer) countries have been. This assertion has been repeatedly contradicted by those who have escaped the Chinese mainland, though it seems to have resonated with many American Democratic leaders, such as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, California Gov. Gavin Newsome, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Speaking of “authoritarianism,” China has also been engaged in forcefully harvesting the organs of its Falun Gong and Uighur political prisoners, some of whom were still alive at the time. (This may be a practice that certain leftists in the United States would like to culturally appropriate, if their recent comments about Trump supporters are any indication.)

Those who have read many of my posts know that, even in this graceless I age, I almost never resort to profanity. However, I feel I must now make an exception. The only proper response to the CCP as it attempts to slowly enslave the world is this: “F**k you!” (“And the horse you came in on!”)

Alone among nations, the United States can make it absolutely clear that it will not tolerate being played for a fool any longer, a message that President Trump had begun to deliver, before CCP-style vote counting practices likely deprived him of a second term.

If Joe Biden takes office on January 20^th, 2021, China will be the biggest beneficiary.

Americans will be the biggest losers…whether most of them know it or not.
