California’s
radical Democrat Governor Gavin “Slick” Newsom is moving forward with
legislation to make it a felony for anyone-- or any entity-- seeking to
ensure election integrity to inspect ballots before they’ve been “certified” (wink,
wink) by his personally chosen state and county officials. In fact, the newly
minted tough guy, clearly afflicted by Trump Envy Syndrome (TES), is
threatening potential election
integrity seekers with prosecution under state law. This is
of a piece with the state’s “Stop Nick Shirley Act,” a bill that seeks to make
it illegal to investigate rampant fraud in the erstwhile Golden State.
Gruesome
Newsom characterized any such election integrity measures as election
interference in a recent preposterous video statement posted on ‘X’:
“Let me speak directly to
anyone considering helping President Trump interfere with our election or our
count: If you violate California’s laws, if you interfere with our voters,
tamper with our ballots, or meddle in our election, you will be prosecuted. It
doesn’t matter who gave the order. That’s why I’m moving forward with new
legislation that would make it a felony to seize ballots before the vote has
been certified by state and county officials. We will be the wall he cannot get
past because we believe that, once an election is decided, the winner governs
for everyone. That’s the architecture of American liberty. Donald Trump—he
doesn’t believe in that architecture.”
The
greasy governor has no problem violating federal law, with his sanctuary
cities and anti-ICE agenda. And how ‘bout making it a felony to “harvest”
ballots, bribe and coerce folks to vote, and engage in repeated and mysterious
late night ballot dumps?
As
for the Dime Store Despot’s purported belief that, after an election is
certified, the winner “governs for everyone?” Many in his party and of his
political ilk-- as well as numerous Hollywood stars and starlets residing in
his state—repeatedly exclaim that Trump “Isn’t my president,”
“Resistance is patriotic,” and that they cannot accept Trump as “their”
president and therefore must leave the United States. (Tragically, not enough
of them follow through on the latter vow.)
California
has one of the highest tax rates in the nation…and by far the largest
population of homeless people. It dawns on me that Newsom would make a good
pimp. He uses and abuses others for his own benefit with absolutely no
compunction.
Even
a French Laundry couldn’t remove the stains on his character.
