Blue Cities Celebrate Somali Independence, Dis American Independence

 

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey celebrated Somali Independence Day. Sister city St. Paul, the state’s capital, raised the Somali flag over its City Hall in honor of Somali independence, a flag that looks suspiciously like the newly adopted Minnesota state flag. Odd. Surely a coincidence.

The Twin Cities weren’t alone in their zeal to celebrate Somali independence. In a recent post, the Columbus, Ohio, Recreation and Parks Department touted plans to recognize the “unification of the Trust Territory of Somaliland and the State of Somaliland into the Somali Republic” in 1960. Yay! The post concluded by stating that “City Hall will be raising the flag of Somalia.” Who says PRIDE! month is over?

But wait, there’s more! Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan recently confirmed that the city cancelled its (American) Independence Day firework show. However, according to several social media posts, other city officials managed to find time to celebrate Somali Independence Day.

As did, naturally, MS-Now the Somali national News Agency, which stated: “The Somali flag was raised in front of Buffalo City Hall in New York State on 1 July 2026, as the local Somali community gathered to mark Somalia’s Independence Day in a ceremony promoted by a Buffalo city council member.” Touching. These cities might as well fly a white flag, too.

But folks in many municipalities and HOAs across the fruited plane are being told they can’t fly American flags in the lead up to the Fourth of July and 250^th birthday celebration. Why? For excuses as varied as this could upset a neighbor to flapping flags could interfere with the “normal feeding, nesting, or migratory behavior” of birds.

This isn’t suicidal empathy. This is a deliberate, in-our-face, attack on American values and America herself.

The rapid rise of Anti-Americanism coincides, of course, with the commensurate rise in the apparent popularity of socialism and the requisite collapse in religiosity, morality, work ethic, and self-respect of the populace in general, especially affluent, white, college educated people.

At this point, a college degree translates into: a nascent Communist. These people are nothing more than mind-numbed robots. They can’t think for themselves or on their feet. They are unable to debate effectively. They don’t know history, economics, or anything else that matters. They haven’t been educated, they have been poisoned. Their minds are infected with group-think. The brighter ones know their purportedly preferred policies will adversely affect the economy, but don’t care because they think these policies won’t affect them. They believe they are insulated, apart. Thus, their very virtue-signaling reveals their staggering selfishness. They are a mob of morons. Turns out, America’s colleges and universities were the real “sleeper cells” intent on destroying the U.S.

The flags of only one nation should ever be flown near, on, or over American government buildings or property: those of the United States of America. Old Glory, the Gadsen Flag, the Betsy Ross Flag, and the “Appeal to Heaven” flag.
