Insurrection?

The Jan. 6 “insurrection” might be old news, but it is still relevant on many levels. And I have never heard it properly addressed in the three-plus years since it occurred. So, here goes.

Democrats and their media toadies like to characterize “MAGA” types as crazed, gun-owning and gun-toting neanderthals of the “far right.” They frequently state—or imply—that these folks own every type of firearm imaginable, from pistols to shotguns to rifles to AR-15s. They say guns should be banned because otherwise these gun-crazed fanatics carry them everywhere…and that would lead to bloodshed and death. They don’t just think the MAGA people shoot hundreds of rounds a day out back of their trailer parks, farms, or cabins in the boonies, they think they carry them into the shower, restaurants, bars, weddings, funerals, Bar Mitzvahs…everywhere!

The Democrat-Media Complex would have you believe that Trump urged these gun-toting extremists to overthrow the government-- and directed them to “attack” the Capitol Building. And, of course, they say, these mind-numbed Trump-loving automatons did as they were told.

Yet, when all these MAGA folks strolled through the People’s House in an attempt to seize power and reinstall Trump, not a one of them carried a firearm. Is it possible that every one of these thousands of “violent” protesters/insurrectionists forgot their weapons? Every one? I thought they were essentially epoxied to them. And not a one of them arrived at the scene of the crime and thought, “Damn, I forgot my gun, I better call one of my fellow insurrectionists and ask him to bring a spare!” Really? Many hundreds of gun nuts were trying to overthrow the government, but all of them forgot their weapons? Does this seem likely?

If this was the case, they were the world’s worst insurrectionists. (And four of them were killed, versus none of those they were supposedly assaulting.)

It was not much of an “insurrection,” was it?

False Pride

Pride.

Everyone is so proud. So damn proud!

We just came through Pride Month. Pride parades, celebrations, commercials, and notices were ubiquitous, everywhere, like drag queens. And not just where you might expect them, either. It seemed nary a crosswalk, sports team, business, or email was unadorned by some form of acknowledgement or touting of the LGBTQ Community. So proud! Couldn’t be any prouder of our gender (whatever it is today) or sexuality!! Because that is what matters, what is really at the very heart of who we are, right? And that’s why they want to make sure youngsters are involved, as well. The younger the better. The younger, the prouder!

Hunter Biden is proud. And therefore defiant. And his dad, the president, claims he is “the smartest man I know.” And who would know better than Old Joe? No wonder Hunter is proud.

Dr. Jill Biden is proud, too. Of her husband. She exclaimed to him (of his recent debate performance) “You answered every question…!” Well, sort of…and not at all well, but, hey. Ice cream and a gold star for the Commander-in-Chief!

The pro-Hamas students on every campus are also proud. They are in your face proud. So proud of supporting the Hamas terrorists that many chanted “We are Hamas!”mHH

NBC was once so proud its slogan was “Proud as a peacock!” It was so proud, in fact, that it spun off a new channel named Peacock. And the Peacock network has shows like “Queer As Folk,” “Queer Planet,” and “TransAmerica.” All in its “LGBTQIA+ Collection.”

You know who else is proud? Nearly everyone! Muslims, feminists, Native Americans, “educators,” “journalists,” the polyamorous, etc.

Everyone but straight, white, male Christians. And why should they be proud, anyway? The younger ones have been kicked out of the military…and the older ones branded “domestic terrorists.” No pride for you!

I mean there is only so much Pride! to go around, right?

I can’t remember, does pride cometh—or goeth—before the fall?

Oh well. Probably doesn’t matter.

Massachusetts Bill To Allow The Sale Of Children?

The Massachusetts House of Representatives recently voted—unanimously-- to pass a bill that would potentially allow women to sell their unborn children to the highest bidder as if they were nothing more than a watch or a car.

H.4672, A.K.A. the “Parentage Equality Bill,” dispenses with the notion that children should be raised in a loving home by their biological parents, while simultaneously replacing the terms “mother” and “father“ for “person who gives birth,” “other parent,” or “genetic source.”

According to lifesitenews, the bill would redefine parenthood on the basis of a “person’s intent to be a parent of a child.” Remarkably, the despicable bill passed 156-0 and is now headed to the Massachusetts Senate.

If the bill passes there, a woman could, after undergoing the physical and mental health screenings required to become a surrogate, become pregnant via sperm from a sperm bank and then post this information to a surrogacy forum, after which she could legally choose to sell her baby to the couple offering the highest “payment of consideration.” In other words, she could auction off her child, as long as the surrogacy agreement met the requirements outlined in the bill and was validated by a court.

The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) issued a gleeful post-vote report on the passage of the legislation, celebrating the increased legal rights granted to the LGBTQ community.

Rep. Sarah Peake, a Democrat from Provincetown, rejoiced in the decision, averring, “What we are doing today is giving a tune up to our statutory structure to reflect the modern and contemporary ways that people become parents whether they are straight or gay.” Yes, which now have less and less to do with sexual complimentarity and the Biblical way humans were intended to get pregnant—and more and more to do with technology and unreality.

But Rep. Hannah Kane, Republican co-sponsor of the bill, stated: “At the heart of this bipartisan legislation lies a simple yet profound principle: The recognition of legal parentage should not be contingent upon outdated norms or narrow definitions” Outdated norms and narrow definitions? Like assuming that people who are biologically equipped to be parents should be parents, and that boys are boys, girls are girls, and there is objective truth?

And then there was Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell, who bluntly-- if oxymoronically-- asserted that the bill was intended to advance “reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights.” (Which is a bit like saying a bill was meant to advance the causes of Hamas and the Anti-Defamation League. Or that a bill was intended to benefit the liquor industry and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.)

If bills such as this are enacted, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day might as well be combined, as there would be no real difference, no substantive distinction, between the two. Whether a person possessed a “front hole,” or not, we could just observe “Genetic Source Day.” How meaningful and elegant!

We have to stop this nonsense...for God’s sake. Literally.

Failing that, I guess we could just update Genesis: “Some with front holes, some with front tubes, but entirely interchangeable genetic sources He created them.”

"The President We Need?"

“Dr.” Jill Biden recently released a video saying of her husband Joe: "He's the president we need — the president you deserve."

Is the latter a threat? A smear? Both? Well, I guess if he were to somehow legitimately win re-election, as extraordinarily unlikely as that may be, he would be the president we deserve. Or at least many of us. In any case, we will never know.

But really, though, “He’s the president we need?” Maybe if we were all immigrants about to cross the border illegally…and wanted to be put up in a Ritz Carlton in New York or San Francisco.

“Dr.” Jill, the truth is Trump is the president we need. And Biden is the president you deserve.

Northern California Water Temperatures Too Cold For Swimming

Newsweek:

Swimmers could experience hypothermia in only 30 minutes off the coast of Crescent City, California, after water temperatures plunged because of coastal winds. Data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration shows that some of the coastal waters are too cold for safe swimming. A recent temperature reading off the coast of Crescent City revealed that water temperatures were 47.3 degrees Fahrenheit, more than 3 degrees below normal for this time of year and 4 degrees below winter water temperatures in January.

Huh?! This was in late June! How could this be? “The Earth is on fire,” we are told. “The oceans are boiling!” Polar bears will drown! Penguins will become extinct! Swedes will soon have dark hair and brown eyes! We are just (fill in the blank) years away from a planetary Dante’s Inferno!

Yet, in the Upper Midwest, where I reside, we no longer have the “Dog Days” of summer, a stretch of two or three weeks in late July and early August where it is stiflingly hot and calm, nearly unbearable. At these times, in the “Good Old Days,” my parents used to say “There’s no relief in sight!” Gone. Moreover, of the past 22 (lake) ice-outs in our area, 15 have been later than normal. That’s 68%.

“Extreme weather! Climate change!” the crazies will shout. “That’s exactly what we predicted would happen!”

Global warming? May or may not be happening. (If it is, it is natural, cyclical-- not man-caused.)

Global dumbing? Now that I can believe in.

A Fourth Of July Message From Six Past Presidents

(An updated reprint of a past post-- by popular request)

I recently received, in my mailbox, six letters. Four were written by the first four presidents, another stems from the hand of Abraham Lincoln, and the last is from Ronald Reagan. All were addressed to: “The modern-day citizens of the United States of America, to be opened and read on July 4th, the year of our Lord 2024.” All came on the same day. To me. Why? Bizarre. Surreal. (And, no, I hadn’t been dabbling in hallucinogenic drugs.)

The first four letters I read were apparently crafted with a quill pen on parchment and bore distinct messages from each of four Founding Fathers. The next was Abraham Lincoln’s missive, and the sixth flowed from the pen of the Great Communicator himself, Ronald Reagan. Here they are, in the order in which I have just read them.

A Fourth of July Message from Thomas Jefferson:

Dearest Americans, the Declaration of Independence, though written by my own hand, had many contributors, just as did the Constitution of these United States of America. Not just Mr. Adams, Mr. Franklin and other Founders, but Socrates, the Magna Carta, Montesquieu, Burke, Adam Smith and others. It was written as a national Emancipation Proclamation. And, though it didn’t reach its full fruition for another four-score and seven years or more, it was intended to protect the smallest minority- each and every individual- from the greatest tyrants and bullies: Kings, dictators and other governments. I implore you: never lose sight of that. We Founders won freedom for the inhabitants of this land and all the generations to follow. We are ourselves now free of all earthly shackles, yet I fear that the endeavors you have recently undertaken are leading you into an endless, if “voluntary,” servitude. Be mindful that Dr. Franklin, when queried about the form of government the Founders had given the nation’s citizenry, replied: “A Republic, as long as you can keep it.” Implicit in his answer was the fact that we didn’t want a pure democracy, as we had seen that a form of immorality nearly always overtook voters of nations with such form of government, leading the simple majority to rule roughshod over even a large minority.

I fear something similar is happening to you now. Many of your votes are being cast not for life and liberty, and what is best for the general welfare, but are being offered up to those scoundrels who promise to give the most money and goods to specific blocks of voters, or “special interest groups.” This causes a great rupture in society. This is robbing Peter to pay Paul-- and also leads to sloth and a diminution of individual endeavor, discipline, self-respect and…liberty.

Time indeed changes manners and notions. But time produces also corruption of principles, and against this it is the duty of good citizens to be ever on the watch, and if the gangrene is to prevail at last, let the day be kept off as long as possible.

In Libertas,

Thomas Jefferson

A Fourth of July Message from George Washington:

Countrymen, I bid you good tidings and hoped that you would find a nation united, strong and free, blessed in its liberty. You may know that I was honored to lead a “rag-tag” militia and eventually molded them into a fine fighting force, and that I had several horses shot out from under me, and countless musket-balls pass through my attire. I am absolutely convinced that Providence spared me for a grand purpose. This upstart nation, with virtually no navy, lacking in arms and ammunition- and materiel of almost every ilk and stripe- went on to defeat the mightiest military the world had ever known. I always tried to lead from the front and refused to accept any remuneration for my part in this blessed battle for liberty.

What you may not know, is that my greatest fear was- and is- that the inhabitants of this Union would one day forget why and how it came to be in the first place. That the stupefying sacrifice my men made for nigh eight years should ultimately prove in vain is more than I can bear for eternity. Please, for your sake and theirs, for posterity and hope, for dignity and reason, do not continue in your attempts to “fundamentally change this nation.” When you fundamentally change the freest, most prosperous nation the world has ever known, the result can only be less freedom and prosperity.

My friends, government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Can you not see this now?

With greatest sincerity,

George Washington

A Fourth of July Message from John Adams:

I would like to start by greeting my fellow patriots, but I fear that many inhabiting the land now no longer think in those terms or understand fully what it means. It doesn’t mean a dislike or disdain for other individuals or countries, but a pride in the shared achievements and character of one’s own. It doesn’t mean everything it does is perfect- or indeed even right in every case, but it doesn’t mean that anything another nation does is necessarily its equal-or better. True patriotism is attained- and laudable- when founded on individual liberty, not entitlements; on morality, not its opposite. A people can only stay truly free when educated, involved, vigilant- and unafraid- of their own government. It has been some twenty dozens of years since we declared independence. I fear that you have become soft- and content to be kept as if livestock, as long as your “civil-servant” masters will see to your food, shelter, “protection”… and ease. Remember what happens, in the end, to livestock.

The happiness of society is the end of government.

Most sincerely,

John Adams

A Fourth of July Message from James Madison:

If you are reading this, dear citizens, perhaps there is still hope for the Republic we bequeathed you. Our instructions for this letter were clear: it was not to be opened until July 4th, 2024. We decided on this date, the 248th anniversary of the Declaration, as the most successful republics have typically lasted between 200 and 250 years, and this being also a presidential election year. I have often been referred to as the Father of the Constitution, but, though I did write much of this unique document, I am not its father. Ironically, tyranny and despotism were the parents of its blessed birth. You see, without these two, there would have been no need for their produce. The document, itself reflecting the combined wisdom of the ages, was precisely structured to protect the citizens of this land from tyrannical government… in perpetuity. It took the immutability of human nature and desire into account, along with a vast knowledge of all the world’s previous types of governments- and the results of their governance. The document, we hoped, would lead to a happier people than any that had come before, free in their pursuit of life, liberty and property. Please do not think that it should be fundamentally altered or aborted now. Be ever vigilant and jealously guard your freedoms and independence.

I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations. I bid you take heed.

Respectfully,

James Madison

A Fourth of July Letter from Abraham Lincoln-

Eight score and one year ago, your forefathers engaged in a titanic clash to determine whether a nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal…could long endure. Through their bloodshed and heartache, their sacrifice and courage, their honor and commitment, it did. Now I ask of you: should their sacrifice have ultimately been in vain? Will the actions you take now render their courage, bloodshed and heartache moot? I have beseeched the Almighty. Now I beseech each and every one of you reading this…to answer each of those questions with a distinct and determined no!

In memory,

Abraham Lincoln

A Fourth of July Letter from Ronald Reagan-

My fellow Americans, we are a nation that has a government, not the other way around.

You know, not so many years ago, I said it was “Morning in America.” And it- at least figuratively- truly was. I also urged Mr. Gorbachev to “Take down this wall!” Shortly thereafter, it came down, leading to a rebirth of freedom for many souls previously trapped in servitude. Now, my fellow Americans, it is in your charge to answer these questions: Is it still morning in America, or will we soon be in mourning…for America? Is that shining city on a hill going to continue to be a beacon, or will you let it slide into the yawning abyss, never to rise again?

Your faithful servant,

Ronald Reagan

Gipper, I wish I knew the answer.

Or maybe I don’t.

A Tale Of Two Cities-- Or Two Nations?

Donald Trump won, at absolute minimum, 84% of the counties in America in the 2020 presidential election. And, allegedly, lost that election. The map of America, comprised of red and blue to illustrate this, therefore appears almost entirely red.

This is why Democrats disdain republicanism and federalism, and drone on nauseatingly about “democracy.” “Our democracy.” The founders didn’t want a pure democracy because they always devolve into mob rule and chaos as they die. And this is why we have a representative republic with three branches of government, each acting as a check and balance on the other two.  And it is why the Senate is composed of two members from each state regardless of population. And it is why we have an Electoral College. Etc.

Democrats are horrified when they look at the nearly red map of the country, and are similarly distressed when presented with the number of counties won by Republicans. This leads them to immediately claim that our democracy is in existential trouble and must be defended. They then propose several options for “preserving our democracy,” including eliminating the Electoral College, packing the Supreme Court, adding Puerto Rico and the federal area (Washington, D.C.) as states, and going to a popular vote only basis for determining the winners of presidential elections. All while attempting to imprison their political opponents. (See also: Donald Trump, Roger Stone, Jan 6ers, etc., etc.)

Good ideas or bad? Perhaps even “unfair?”

Picture the country as if it had two giant cities of 90 million people, one on each coast, or both on the same coast. Doesn’t matter. Say each of those great cities vote about 80-90% for the Democrat Party candidate…as they are wont to do. In that case, the votes of virtually everyone in the rest of the country wouldn’t matter. At all. Even if nearly all of them voted for the Republican candidate. The map of the fruited plain would appear as two tiny blue dots on a sea of red. (This isn’t much different from what we have now. New York, Philadelphia, Washington, etc., are so close together they nearly bleed into each other. On the other coast, we have the southern California metropolises and the San Francisco-Oakland-Sacramento megalopolis, among others.)

That is the kind of “fairness” and democracy Democrats seek to impose on the nation. Which, to use terms they favor, marginalizes and disenfranchises the rest of us. (In one sense, this “disproportionately affects” conservatives/MAGA types.)

It is Democrats who fundamentally transformed the country and who still appear to disdain it. In my figurative example, the right thing to do would be to let these two cities become their own entities or entity…and the rest of the country could go its separate way, as well…thus giving both more representative governments.

The Democrat-run big cities could be sanctuaries for illegal aliens (and also just plain aliens like James Carville and Adam Schiff), unfettered abortion proponents, drug abusers, the homeless, the Transgender Community, etc. They could refuse to fund police departments so that they could put that money into providing universal basic incomes-- and towards paying drag queens for hosting children’s “story hours.” They could make paganism their official non-religion and Bud Light their official beer. They could ban all news networks other than MSNBC and mandate that all residents watch The View. (If any hyper progressive folks are reading this, they are likely thinking: “That’s what I’m talking about! That’s my kind of democracy!”)

The rest of the country? Well, those folks would still be able to elect national, state, and local leaders as they saw fit, according to the dictates of a legitimate representative republic.

Only Democrats can holler “foul!” after “winning” a presidential election (despite losing 84+% of the counties)! And then propose various changes that will assure they can never be challenged again! To “save our democracy” don’t ya’ know! Incredible.

Government Agencies In 49 States Providing Voter Registration Forms To Illegal Immigrants

According to The New York Post, “Welfare offices and other agencies in 49 US states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of US citizenship.” But I thought our elections have never been fairer and more secure!

The paper stated: “Every state but Arizona — which recently passed a law barring the practice on state but not federal forms — gives applicants for either welfare benefits, driver’s licenses, or in some cases, mail-in ballots voter registration forms without demanding proof of citizenship.”

It added that “millions of migrants with humanitarian parole, refugee or asylum status are eligible for benefits that would bring them to the offices where voter registration takes place. If an applicant attests that they are a US citizen, that is considered valid on its face and the person is registered to vote.”

Heritage Action executive vice president Ryan Walker told The Post, “It is undeniable that the current structure makes it possible for illegal immigrants and non-citizens to vote — and the American people have no way of knowing how widespread the problem may be.”

So, sadly, it is not a question of if illegal aliens will vote in the upcoming presidential election, but of how many. This has led some Republicans (see also: invertebrates) to call for federal action to stop the practice. Ya think?

Republicans in the House Administration Committee are attempting to prevent illegal immigrants from receiving voter registration materials through the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require anyone registering to vote through the DMV, welfare offices, or other agencies to provide valid proof of U.S. citizenship before receiving their voter registration forms. Imagine that! What a concept!

But, predictably, even this obviously necessary attempt to foster election integrity has been vociferously condemned by The Left as shameful”—and, incredibly, something that will “undermine trust in the electoral process.” The truth, of course, is just the opposite.

The far-left Campaign Legal Center claims that the SAVE Act will force U.S. citizens to “jump through additional hoops” to register to vote and could “result in eligible U.S. citizens being incorrectly prevented from voting.” “Jump through additional hoops?” Like being a citizen of the United States or not crossing our border illegally? The SAVE Act will not “result in eligible U.S. citizens being incorrectly prevented from voting.” But it would prevent eligible U.S. citizens from having their votes nullified.

Wrap your mind around this: Biden’s government is using taxpayer-funded government agencies to ensure that his Democrat Party is never removed from power… while disenfranchising American citizens by arbitrarily-- and illegally-- empowering undocumented aliens. Got that?

And Democrats and their sycophants in the media will undoubtedly try to tell us that they are doing this to “save our democracy!” Unbelievable chutzpah! Breathtaking corruption! Biden took a solemn oath to protect the Constitution of the United States. And defend the republic.

We need to vote these dangerous and despicable clowns out of office. Before the illegal alien voting bloc gets any larger.

The illegal aliens aren’t the only ones who should be facing jail time.

Dr. Dome Says American Flag A Symbol Of Hate

Dr. Nancy Dome, a prominent DEI trainer, recently stated that the American flag symbolizes "hate" and "extremism,” according to a report on msn.com and something called Past Chronicle. The story, by Sam Watanuki, noted that Dome’s assertion “has ignited a heated debate among educators and the broader community.” Really? “Debate?!” How far we have fallen. The Stars and Stripes has been seen as a symbol of freedom and hope by the majority of people on earth for many decades.

But not Dr. Dome, who, during a recent DEI training session, stated that the American flag is a constant reminder of oppression for Black Americans. (Maybe she meant the Confederate flag.) Dome went so far as to suggest the flags should be removed from schools and workplaces. I’m sure she’d be in favor of replacing it with the LGBTQ flag, or possibly the Hammer and Sickle.

Unsurprisingly, Dr. Dome is a strong advocate for teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) in schools (and workplaces?). Moreover, she believes that employees who do not support DEI initiatives should be summarily dismissed. Now that is tolerance and inclusion! “Anyone who disagrees with me should be fired!” Or caned. Or shot.

Dr. Dome also champions equity over equality, meaning she disdains competence and freedom and supports government coercion. The article states that “She believes that without equity, true equality cannot be achieved,” which means she is an actual, devout racist, besides being nonsensical.

Dr. Dome (I admit her name is fun to say) is Co-Founder and Executive Officer of Epoch Education, a major DEI consultant for large school districts. The organization, too, promotes an equity agenda.

Epoch Education’s website states, “We are more than experts. We are educators.” It also says it will provide clients with “the knowledge and tools needed to cultivate compassionate mindsets and practices.” Because, apparently, otherwise we’d all be hate-filled idiots.

In truth, the American flag was there when the slaves were freed and the union re-established, flying over the bodies of thousands of dead and injured soldiers who fought to make this so. It was there when our troops landed in Europe, and fought their way across that continent, to free up enslaved nations and defeat fascism. It was placed on the moon, when American astronauts made some dreams come true…and others seem possible. And it has consistently been there when other nations needed help, financial, humanitarian, or other.

Why is it so many of today’s self-proclaimed “educators” disdain the U.S., but believe themselves to be indispensable, the finest souls ever to trod the Earth? Especially the ones with multicolored hair, nose rings, and the LGBTQ flag proudly displayed in their classrooms. Today’s “journalists” have a completely unwarranted sense of their own importance, as well.

Together, they are just another brick in the wall, obscuring the truth and preventing far too many from seeing the light.
