Another Autobiographical Moment with Vice-President-Elect
Kamala Harris:
“When
I was six years old, my father gave me a hatchet for a gift. People weren’t as
safety conscious back then. Anyway, I accidentally cut down his favorite little
cherry tree, and he got quite upset with me. He got in my face and said,
‘Kamala, did you do this?’ I said, ‘I cannot tell a lie, daddy, I did cut down
your twee. I’m so sowry!’ He hugged me and told me that my honesty was worth even
more than his favorite tree.’”
