College Courses Exhibiting Devolution Of Western Civilization

 

College isn’t what it used to be. Tuition is going up, up, up and standards are going down, down, down. Pay more, get less! Take the University of California-Berkeley for example. Please. Tuition for out-of-state students runs roughly $43,000 a year. Classes on Western Civilization and Government may have gone the way of the dodo, but the young scholars can now choose to take classes such as “How to Solve the Rubik’s Cube” and “Henna Art: Application and Cultural Perspectives.” According to the institution’s website, these are legitimate for-credit courses created by the school’s “DeCal” program, which stands for “democratic education.” UC-Berkeley offers over 150 DeCal courses, and the school says they are “an excellent way of meeting the university’s minimum unit requirement” and adds that “all students are encouraged to consider taking a course!” Grades are typically only offered as Pass/No Pass, a sure indicator of the courses’ rigorous nature.

Other DeCal courses offered at California-Berkeley include “Cal Pokémon Academy,” “UC Marvel Cinematic Universe,” and, of course, “UC Hogwarts: The Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter.” Pokémon Academy will cover the history of the franchise and allow for the discussion of “social issues within the Pokéverse.” Ah. According to campusreform.org, students will also have to draw a picture of themselves as a “trainer” alongside their favorite Pokémon and design their own trading card. Whew! I’m exhausted just thinking about those class requirements.

Marvel Cinematic Universe students will be expected to watch several Marvel movies while focusing on the “various social, ethical, political and economic themes that are highlighted within them,” according to the course description.

Those standout students taking on “UC Hogwarts: The Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry potter,” will be asked to contemplate why the Harry Potter book series has been “so compelling to generations of readers.” The class will delve into “the history of magic, witchcraft and wizardry, social hierarchies and the role of race in culture…the role of government and corruption, concentration on authoritarianism.” I see. On the plus side, to obviate the almost unrelenting pressure of trying to understand the “Potterverse,” the young scholars will get to engage in activities such as wand-making and Horcrux hunting. And if you’ve ever hunted a Horcrux, you know how cathartic it can be!

The University of California-Berkeley is far from the only school tempting its students with undemanding courses. The University of South Carolina, for example, has reportedly ignored the state’s mandate that all colleges offer a course on the Constitution, but does offer a class on belly dancing and a course called “Tailgating 101.” Party on, Garth!

And now, at The New School in Manhattan, students can enroll in a four-credit sociology seminar titled “How to Steal.” Sorry, but I’m old school. What’s next, a course titled “How to Rape, Pillage, and Plunder?”

Many college administrators and faculty are trying to be hip and curry favor with students by not seriously challenging them. The problem is, when these kids leave their schools’ wombs and venture out into the real world, they will likely find that tailgating, Rubik’s cube solving, wand-making, and Horcrux hunting are not skills in particularly high demand.

Colleges are exchanging rhetoric for rap, civics for cartoons, debate for dogma, and Shakespeare for social justice warring. This can’t end well…for the students or society as a whole.

 *Back in the States, Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was recently murdered by a Black psychopath who was roaming free thanks to Democrats' overwhelming support for crime and criminals. Incredibly, most mainstream media outlets have not even covered the savage knife attack. Yet, had it been a white person executing a Black man, there would be wall-to-wall, 24-seven news coverage of that assault. There would be special reports and calls for knife control. Decarlos Brown Jr. has previously been arrested many times for serious crimes, but has been released once more than he has been arrested. That cost Zarutska her life. The judges that keep giving serial perpetrators light or suspended sentences, cashless bail, etc., should themselves be in prison. I wish Zarutska’s parents could sue them for everything they’re worth.

*The Quebec College of Physicians (CMQ) is pushing to expand Canada’s euthanasia program to include newborns born with disabilities.  Yes, that’s correct, Canada’s medical bureaucracy now wants the option to kill newborn babies who may have certain severe abnormalities or defects. For God’s sakes, we’ve been through all of this before! And it didn’t work out well. It led to the Third Reich and the Soviet Union…and a colossal war in which countless millions died. Euthanasia, once approved and instituted, is used by those in power as a vehicle to enhance and protect it further. Once those in power disarm you and take away your right to free speech, euthanasia can be essentially imposed on those that don’t pass muster. And on those that in any way challenge what will by then be one-party rule.

*In the formerly Great Northwest, Seattle Public Schools are not allowing parents to opt their kids out of “LGBTQ-inclusive instruction,” which includes teaching kindergarten students about transgenderism. Not allowed? Parents can request an opt-out from “Comprehensive Sexual Health Education,” but this does not include other pro-LGBT content. This despite a recent Supreme Court ruling (Mahmoud v. Taylor) that instructs schools to do just that. Seattle Public Schools website states:

There is no option to “opt students out” of learning about particular identities or groups of people. This guidance is reinforced by OSPI (state superintendent’s office), the policies of other major urban districts (including the states of California and New York), and the outcomes of federal cases around the country. We celebrate all students in SPS.

SPS would most assuredly not “celebrate” a student in a “MAGA” hat. If parents can’t protect their young students from the inexorable LGBTQ agenda, if kindergarten students must learn about transgenderism, then why not mandate that they take driver’s ed and firearm safety classes, as well?

*Muslims in Houston, Texas have joined their brethren in parts of England in demanding that the native locals stop consuming alcohol and pork products. Taverns in England have been targeted. In Houston, Muslims have been going store to store demanding that alcohol and pork products be removed from the stores shelves…lest they be subject to demonstrations instructing them on Islamic law. Sorry, Mohamed, but Americans aren’t going to give up beer, wine, bacon, ribs, ham, margaritas, etc. In fact, I’m drinking a delectable craft beer right now, and am eagerly anticipating munching on a ham sandwich for lunch tomorrow. So don’t come to the United States, legally or illegally, and tell us what we can and cannot consume, produce, or sell. Maybe try going to Russia and demanding Russians give up vodka and borscht. Or tell the Japanese that they cannot enjoy sake and anomie. Better yet, how about we come to your place and demand you stop chewing kat, treating your women like shit, and romancing goats?!

 *Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) recently stated that the idea that our rights might come from our Creator and may not “come from our laws or our governments is extremely troubling.” There can be no more disturbing and demonstrably wrong statement than that. If we have inherent rights granted by our Creator, than the denial of those rights, such as those of pursuing life, liberty, and happiness, is unquestionably wrong…if not actually sinful. If our rights do originate from men, then others can determine which rights we may be allowed by their grace, and which ones we do not possess because Bob—or a group of folks in power—don’t wish us to have them. In which case, the Holocaust is not a tragedy—or even wrong—because those heading up the Third Reich determined that Jews, Blacks, and gays, among others, didn’t have any rights. Case closed.

Schoolgirls Told They Can Escape Boys In Their Locker Rooms If They Admit To Being Mentally Ill

 

Temecula, California, junior and senior high school girls will henceforth have a choice between letting biological males hang around in their bath and locker rooms…and proclaiming themselves to be mentally ill. (Ain’t pro-choice grand?)

You read that correctly. The only way these girls will be able to avoid sharing bathrooms and locker-rooms with their male counterparts will be for their parents to fill out a “Mental Health Accommodation Request Form.” The form reads in part:

I am requesting a mental health accommodation on behalf of my child. This request is made in accordance with federal and state laws, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and California Education Codes. Please describe the mental health condition and the nature of the accommodation being requested (e.g., diagnosed anxiety, PTSD, etc.): If available, please attach supporting documentation (e.g., medical diagnosis, 504 Plan, counseling records, etc.) 

So, a young girl must be suffering from a “disability” if she doesn’t want males to watch her undress, use the bathroom, or shower? As a parent, I would have anxiety if adults in charge of my daughter’s school wanted to force her to share a bathroom and a locker-room with boys. And the “authorities”-- whether at that school or in the government-- that made this so would have PTSD shortly after meeting with me. Just sayin’.

What’s next, will “authorities” soon “allow” us to decline to submit to an experimental mRNA injection if we sign a document testifying that we’re insane?

Where will this end? Are we sure we’re winning the War With Woke? Or, when I go to my polling place to vote in some future election, will I hear: “Of course you have every right to vote for Republicans, but you must then sign this form testifying that you have a severe mental illness and will require extensive treatment at a local facility.”

“Authorities” want to take the place of fathers like me…and our Father who art in heaven, for that matter. They don’t like the competition. They appear to believe they can groom indoctrinate parent our children better than we as moms and dads can. But do you really want the likes of Gavin Newsome, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Randi Weingarten to be in charge of your child’s education and safety, with no parental checks and balances?

California was once the Golden State. The Land of Milk and Honey. It is now the Fallen State. The Land of Illegal Aliens, Poverty, and Homelessness. There may not be much gold left “in them thar hills,” but there are plenty of tyrants and perverts around.

   An Australian woman has been found guilty of vilifying male athletes competing in women’s sports…and now faces fines and penalties of up to $200,000 (Australian)! According to a local court of New South Wales, Kirralie Smith “unlawfully vilified” two males playing soccer on women’s teams by stating that they have unfair physical advantages over the women and noting that opposing female players had suffered severe injuries due to this fact. Two-hundred-grand for stating an obvious truth. Bad on ya, mate!

               Canada’s Prime Minister Mark “Mohamed” Carney recently stated that “Muslim values” are “Canadian values.” At an Eid al-Adha celebration hosted by the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC), Carney said, “all of us must come together – around the values of Eid.” Really? Start shopping for burkas and hijabs, ladies. Hope you don’t mind if your hubbies exhibit a bit more “toxic masculinity.”

               British police recently—and infamously-- arrested a comedian who criticized trans activists. Sent five armed coppers after him to seize him in an airport. Scotland yard’s finest now arrest around 30 folks every day for allegedly offensive online posts. I will let you guess to which groups these posts may be offensive. With some groups-- such as straight, white, male, Christians, for example—almost anything goes, with others…not so much.

What the hell happened to the British Empire? How did it go from “Rule, Brittania” to “Overrule Brittania?” From a respected world power that stood ready to repel an invasion by Huns to a craven land being overrun by third world Muslim invaders?  

Then Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once stated: “I believe in the acceptance of personal responsibility, freedom of choice, and the British Empire, which took freedom and the rule of law to countries which would never have known it otherwise.” Personal responsibility, freedom, and the rule of law have now been effectively evicted, deported from the British Empire, even as the foreign hordes are welcomed in.

Winston Churchill remarked: “If the British Empire is fated to pass from life into history, we must hope it will not be by the slow process of dispersion and decay, but in some supreme exertion for freedom, for right and for truth.” In fact, it has sadly been the former, not the latter. Anything but the latter, in fact. And the former has been rather quicker than slow.

Can Western Nations Prevent Devolution Without Revolution?

 

”Progressivism” is not progressive, it is regressive. It is actually leading to societal devolution, not evolution. A close look at “liberal” Democrat-run cities proves that Darwin’s theories don’t hold up, at least when applied to humans. Sloth, laziness, drug use, homeless camps, poop maps, mental illness, etc., are sadly ubiquitous where order and achievement once prevailed. Graffiti defaces once beautiful buildings. Businesses, statues, monuments, and cathedrals alike are vandalized. Chaos reigns. People feel unsafe, stressed, hopeless. This often leads the very government that created these conditions to step in and abridge and usurp people’s rights, in a fruitless purported attempt to curtail the uncertainty and violence. But taking away decent people’s ability to speak their minds and even defend themselves invariably makes things worse. Which may then lead the government to issue more decrees, leading to even more frustration and anger. Wash, rinse, repeat.

And today in the West there is an even worse scenario. Several governments are demeaning and abusing their own citizens, using their tax dollars to pay to fete illegal aliens who have no intentions of assimilating, and who, in fact, openly mock and decry the countries they have chosen to come to (illegally).

This is in no small part due to the fact that progressives seem to view the Seven Deadly Sins as “the Seven Coolest Things.” When a society denigrates and dismisses tradition, law and order, standards of decency, morality, character, competence, objective truth, and Judeo-Christianity…and instead celebrates, embraces, and rewards incompetence, crime, chaos, utter depravity, dishonesty-- and radical Islam-- it has signed its own death warrant. And its death will not be that far off.

That is the truth-- logically and historically. That is not “my truth.” It is the truth.

You are free to disagree with me (or at least I hope you are). You can ignore me. You can stop reading what I write. You can mock me. I don’t care, because that changes nothing.

So, you say you want a revolution? You may well get a devolution instead. And there almost certainly will never be another Revolutionary War as necessary and consequential as the one Americans fought to gain their independence almost 250 years ago.

Another Revolutionary War?! I am getting ever more concerned there might be a Devolutionary War on the horizon, instead.

What’s the difference? A Revolutionary War, at this point, would be one won by those trying to save their country from certain ruin at the hands of hyper-secular “progressives” and/or radical Islamists. A Devolutionary* War would be one won by the hyper-secular “progressives” and/or radical Islamists.

Truth be told, we have already entered this conflict, whether some folks realize it or not. Let’s hope and pray it stays a “Cold” War without bloodshed.

Death Threats Okay, Just Don't Kill Them With Comedy

 

The London Times recently reported that “British police arrest more than 30 people a day for online posts.” Irish comedy writer Graham Linehan was one of them. criticizing trans activists. On his recent return from the United States, Linehan was met at London's Heathrow Airport by five armed police officers. The British Polizei whisked Graham away to a private area where they informed him he was "under arrest for three tweets." My God, Graham is a serial tweeter!

In the not-so-Jolly Olde England, Pakistani rape gangs run free, but comedians with the temerity to put up offensive posts may be tossed in the slammer. Will the Starmer government come after me for posing that age-old question: “How many trans people does it take to screw in a lightbulb?” Or for starting a limerick with “There once was a Muslim from Nantuckett…?”

Comedy isn’t funny in the tense and treacherous new England, but things are more relaxed back here in the states, right? Well, if you are a Trump-hater, that is the case. To wit: Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, of Lafayette, Indiana, made a series of vile threats on social media, including vowing to disembowel and kill President Trump-- and cut off his trachea. Yet those posts remain up and in public view. Jones was charged by US Attorney Jeanine Pirro and subsequently arrested, however a DC grand jury didn’t agree with Pirro’s actions and declined to indict her. Judge Boasberg, the infamous Obama-appointed magistrate then quietly released Jones from prison last week. I mean, it’s not like she made a bad joke.

Speaking of bad jokes, Minnesota Governor Tim Walsh used a Labor Day picnic in Duluth to opine on the recent absence of President Trump from public view. "Look I get it, you get up in the morning and you doom scroll through things, although I will say this, the last few days you woke up thinking there might be news. Just saying, just saying, there will be news sometime, just so you know, there will be news." The news that Walz was clearly hoping for was that of Trump’s death or disablement. Walz manages to be a buffoon and a monster simultaneously, an evil clown if ever there was one. (Walz is no comedian. If he was, he might have been arrested. No, wait, that’s England.)

Speaking of evil, someone named Nidal Jboor spoke at something called the “People’s Conference for Palestine,” demonizing “Jewish supremacists” and “Christian evangelicals.” Even as Jboor bizarrely testified about his love for children, he stated that Western leaders should be “locked up, taken out, neutralized.” Moreover, Jboor made it clear that, in his view, “speaking up isn’t enough, it’s time to escalate and act.” He added, “It is now or never. We need to mobilize.” Oh?

Whether it is wokesters or Muslims, here or in Europe, they will not assimilate except on their terms. And what strange bedfellows they are. The former despises the latter’s beliefs, the latter would convert, enslave, or kill those comprising the former group. They are, however, united in their hatred of the United States and the Christian West-- its beliefs, traditions, mores…and success.

As Mark Steyn notes, we are “integrating our way to oblivion.” Or desperately trying to do so.

And that isn’t funny.

 

Alphabet News Agencies Proving Wokeness Is Alive And Well

 

Many on the right are still gloating about the 2024 elections and the “fact” that wokeness is in full-fledged retreat. Why, they say, corporations, a few Democrat influencers and donors… and even the media are beginning to see the light.

Call me a skeptic (and many have), but:

NBC News recently bent over backward to avoid "misgendering" Robin Westman, the would-be mass murderer who shot at children and adults who were praying inside Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, killing two and injuring 17. But, to the network, the real crime was that it used male pronouns in its original article when describing the shooter and his heinous crime. NBC subsequently issued a correction reading: "A previous version of this article used the wrong pronoun for the shooter. She used female pronouns.” Sure, the satanic bastard destroyed the lives of multiple families, but NBC thought it owed it to her—actually him—to abide by his preferred pronouns. Monstrous.

Not to be outdone, ABC News declined to report that Westman had placed the message "Kill Donald Trump” on the magazine of one of his weapons. Instead, ABC News chose to report that Westman had written "the name of President Trump" on the firearm, effectively insinuating he was somehow a Trump supporter, the polar opposite of the truth. This is outrageous, akin to reporting that John Wilkes Booth was at Ford’s Theater “hoping to see President Lincoln.”

And, of course, CBS got into the act, despite the fact it had previously been sued by President Trump for substantively altering an interview with then Vice-President Kamala Harris in an attempt to make her appear less incoherent…and enhance her chances of defeating Trump in the 2024 Presidential election, a lawsuit it lost. This time CBS only aired a part of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s response to a question pertaining to Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant that the Trump administration deported to El Salvador earlier this year. In the clip that CBS aired, Noem stated, "Prosecution decisions are always made by the Department of Justice and Pam Bondi’s department, so we will let them do that, although this individual does have criminal charges pending. He has charges pending against him civilly as well. And the one thing that we will continue to do is to make sure that he doesn’t walk free in the United States of America."

Here is the rest of Noem’s answer, that CBS edited out:

"This individual was a known human smuggler, an MS-13 gang member, and an individual who is a wife beater, and someone who is so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off. He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. So, he needs to never be in the United States of America, and our administration is making sure we’re doing all that we can.” Why do you think CBS didn’t include Noem’s full reply to the question she was asked? Could it be it was because the rest of her answer contained facts that made Abrego Garcia look like the dirt bag he is…and that runs counter to The Narrative? You think? 

Hilariously, CBS is still insisting that the aired interview-- and processes leading up to it-- met the network's standards. 

I have no doubt that is the case. It is also the problem.

Once again, it is impossible to disdain and despise the mainstream media to the degree it deserves.

 

 

 

 

Colleges Or PragerU Distorting Facts And History?

 

Someone apparently named Randy Rannow, apparently writing an opinion piece published in the Idaho Statesman, wrote:

“As a scientist working in industry, I'm deeply concerned about the infiltration of PragerU content into public education. Despite its name, PragerU is not a university, it's a media outlet pushing politically charged narratives disguised as educational material. Its videos routinely distort history, deny climate science and promote ideologically driven misinformation.

In states like Florida and Oklahoma, PragerU Kids content is now being approved for classroom use. This includes videos that downplay slavery, dismiss Indigenous history and question the reality of climate change. These are not "alternative perspectives"; they are deliberate attempts to rewrite facts and manipulate young minds.

Science and history are not partisan. They are disciplines built on evidence, inquiry, and integrity. Allowing PragerU into our classrooms undermines the very foundation of education and threatens our children's ability to think critically and engage with the world honestly.

I urge educators, parents and policymakers to reject PragerU's materials and demand transparency in curriculum decisions. We must protect our schools from ideological intrusion and ensure that students receive a rigorous, fact-based education.

Truth should never be optional.”

This is a classic case—correction-- the classic case of projection. I have followed PragerU since its inception, viewed most of its videos. They are uniformly fact-based, anything but radical. They are put forth in a calm and balanced manner and are specifically meant to be a corrective for the “ideologically driven misinformation” and indoctrination that universities preposterously attempt to pass off as “education.” Universities routinely, systemically, grotesquely distort history and proffer hoaxes as “settled science.”

PragerU videos do not-- in any way— “downplay slavery” or “dismiss indigenous history.” A couple do, correctly, challenge the man-caused global warming/climate change as religion attempt to manipulate minds young and old.

Education is not supposed to instruct students what to think. It is supposed to teach them how to think. Colleges and universities were, until recently, explicitly instituted to challenge modes of thinking and expose students to diverse viewpoints, not tell them that “alternative perspectives” are invalid and not allowed.

As for the author’s assertion that “science and history are not partisan?” Well, that is a preposterous and a priori lie on its face. One needs only look at Mr. Science himself, Dr. Fauci, to see that that is untrue. It is, in fact, today’s colleges and universities themselves that threaten our children's ability to think critically and engage with the world honestly. Parents got a glimpse of transparency into their children’s education during the plandemic. And they didn’t like what they saw.

Truth should never be optional. It should never be obscured, obfuscated, covered up, hidden, distorted, or denied.

Democrat-Academia-Media Complex Possessed By The Father Of Lies

 

The Democrat-academia-media complex is in effect an enormous cabal. It has evolved into, as others have previously noted on social media, a satanic cult. It seems to not only tolerate but almost worship crime, the genital mutilation of children, mental illness, and death. Captured by the Father of Lies, it tells only lies, despises and attacks the truth. This is not hyperbole.

The cabal told us Trump was colluding with the Russians. It told us Hunter's laptop had all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign. It told us Biden was sharp as a proverbial tack until very late in his presidency. It told us that there was no way the Wuhan Flu came from a lab in Wuhan that was playing around with infectious diseases, but rather must have come from a bat or a pangolin. Then it told us that the vaccines developed to counter the coronavirus were effective. And safe! It told us that the tariffs would lead to skyrocketing inflation. It told us that all invasive species are devastating to our environment, yet simultaneously told us that illegal aliens enrich the nation immeasurably. It tells us that guns are the problem, not mental illness, radical Islam, or evil itself. And it still tries to tell us that it must do what it is doing, must eliminate its political opposition, in order to “save our democracy.” Amazing!

It boggles the mind that anybody still listens to these purveyors of prevarication, let alone trusts what they have to say. (Speaking of mental illness.)

The only effective way to counter the Blizzard of Lies is to tell the truth. Not once in a while. Not sometimes. Not on occasion. Not when it's relatively easy to do and will have no negative consequences. But fearlessly, relentlessly, all the time, no exceptions. If, for example, someone asserts that men and women are the same, or that one sex can become the other simply by wishing it so, it doesn’t do anyone any good to go along with the lie. The same applies if someone tells you Trump is Hitler and that you are a deplorable fascist for supporting him. Or, for that matter, that the earth has only 10 or 12 years left due to climate change.

Those in the Democrat-academia-media complex can't handle the truth. We must be able to do so. Truth is their kryptonite. It must be our rock, weapon, savior.

Savior? The truth, the light, and the way.
