Darkness At Noon Now Upon Us

              Professors are being let go and people are losing their jobs for openly supporting President Trump, praising America or not giving full-throated support to the Black Lives Matter Marxist-terrorist group. Conservatives are being silenced, shadow-banned, demonetized and cancelled outright at unprecedented rates. And now Democratic politicians are joining with leftists on anti-social media to boycott Goya, a Hispanic-owned food-manufacturer, after the company’s CEO dared to praise President Donald Trump following a recent roundtable discussion for Hispanic businesses and leaders. During a speech in the White House Rose Garden, Goya’s CEO Robert Unanue stated, "We're all truly blessed at the same time to have a leader like President Trump, who is a builder. We have an incredible builder. And we pray. We pray for our leadership, our president, and we pray for our country — that we will continue to prosper and grow." What a monster.

              Unanue, a Spanish-American himself, apparently enraged many with his heartfelt remarks, including high-profile Democrats and assorted other anarcho-Marxists, who are now vowing to boycott all products from the minority-owned company that was founded by Spanish immigrants in 1936. In fact, later on the same day that Unanue praised Trump for being “a builder” and hoped that his country would “continue to prosper and grow,” #BoycottGoya and #Goyaway were the top trending phrases on Twitter. Democratic Socialist airhead Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was so incensed by her fellow Hispanic’s fondness for his president and country she took to Twitter to tweet, “Oh look, it’s the sound of me Googling ‘how to make your own Adobo,’” a snarky reference to boycotting one of Goya’s products.

              Wander off the Democrat Reservation even a little bit and you will be punished, soundly thrashed, mocked, boycotted and cancelled. The number of those being physically assaulted for simply wearing a “MAGA” hat or other pro-Trump attire is legion. Now those who openly declare support for the president are being targeted and threatened (by the self-proclaimed most tolerant people on Earth). This has never happened before in American history, at least to this extent. If someone discovers your husband/son/uncle/second cousin has a Facebook post lauding Trump or criticizing the BLM movement, you may lose your job.

              People who lived through similar purges and thought-cleansing in countries such as the former Soviet Union, Romania, Cuba, and now Venezuela, are warning us that what is happening in the U.S. now looks and feels eerily similar to what they saw then. It is only a matter of time, and think how fast things have changed with the COVID-19 pandemic and the street riots in most major cities, until those who voted for Trump—or others unsanctioned by The Swamp and The Mob—are sent to re-education camps or are “disappeared” entirely, never to re-surface.

Speaker Pelosi Blames Russia's Annexation Of Crimea On Republicans

               Speaker of the House of Hades Nancy Pelosi (D-bag; Calif.) recently blamed Russia’s annexation of Crimea on Republicans, a bit of a stretch since Democratic President Barack Obama and then Vice President-- and current Democratic presidential candidate-- Joe Biden were running the country at the time…and had been for six years. Pelosi got so carried away blaming President Trump and Republicans for doing too little to counter Russian aggression that she apparently forgot all about the Obama administration’s extreme appeasement of Putin and the fact that Russia annexed Crimea in 2014… midway through Obama’s second term.

              Speaker Pelosi told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace: “You just described, not only for the president, but the Republicans in Congress, dereliction of duty. Undermining our own elections, undermining our commitment to NATO, giving away the store, the base, in Syria. The list goes on and on.” Her dander up, bit in her teeth, she added, “Ignoring the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of eastern Ukraine. The list goes on and on.” As does Pelosi. In reality, Pelosi is guilty of dereliction of duty, as she has steadfastly refused to come to work and do her job, preferring instead to sit the pandemic out and stay home, occasionally giving tours of her $24,000 freezer and its vast stores of designer ice cream. In point of fact, it is Democrats who have undermined “our own elections,” which in their case translates to “deliberately cheated.”

              There is no doubt, had the California Cadaver had more time, she would have blamed Trump and the Republicans for the Cuban Missile Crisis, getting the U.S. into World Wars I & II, slavery, and the inception of the Ku Klux Klan. Oh, and the Spanish Flu. After all, she’s already blamed them for the Wuhan Flu COVID-19.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says Looters Might Be Seeking Bread

              Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Dumbass- N.Y.) recently tried to link the dramatic increase of violent crime in New York to unemployment…and the police department. At a town hall event the Mindless One stated: “Do we think this has to do with the fact that there’s record unemployment in the United States right now? Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren’t paying their rent and are scared to pay their rent. And so they go out and they need to feed their child and they don’t have money. So, you maybe have to — they’re put in a position where they feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry that night.”

              This is mind-boggling idiocy. Looters and thieves aren’t touching food, they are taking high-end televisions and electronics, designer clothing and Gucci handbags. And unemployment and non-existent hunger certainly don’t account for the surge in beatings, murders and overall street violence. Children as young as one-year-old have been shot and killed lately, pregnant women accosted and strollers overturned. Even statues of the Virgin Mary have been defaced. This is not hunger, it is evil.

              The uptick in violence has, however, paralleled the push to defund the police. Mayor de Blasio has pledged to cut over one billion dollars from the NYPD. A plainclothes unit has already been disbanded. Morale is at an all-time low. Many cops are calling in sick, many more are leaving the force altogether.

              One of the reasons progressives want to erase history is because it proves them wrong. In every case. New York in the 1970s and 1980s was a dirty, dangerous city. In 1990, the city experienced a staggering 2,245 murders. Then Mayor Rudy Giuliani came in and significantly increased the number of cops, established proactive “broken window” policing and oversaw a miraculous decline in homicides…and lesser crimes, as well. The number of murders stayed low until this year, when timid, incompetent leadership merged with the BLM/Antifa/Marxist/anarchist riots to supercharge crime.

              Ocasio-Cortez’ comical contention that hunger might be responsible for the sudden and dramatic increase in carnage on the streets of New York City lead me to wonder what excuses she might have conjured up about other historic tragedies.

              AOC on the South seceding from the Union: “I think maybe they just, like, felt marginalized by the North’s industrial might, and were afraid that the Union would, like, ban the sale and consumption of grits and cornbread.”

              AOC on the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor: “Do we think that this has to do with the fact that American’s were greedily consuming far more calories than the average Japanese person was, like, on an annual basis?  Also, Americans’ racism and bigotry stunted the sale of Japanese chopsticks and sake, so the Japanese were maybe put into a position where they felt like they had to do something or go hungry at night.”

              AOC on the Holocaust: “Maybe the Germans, like, just didn’t want to see their cuisine overwhelmed by kosher food and their steel helmets replaced by yarmulkes. Maybe they were afraid that Octoberfest would be replaced by, like, Yom Kippur…or whatever.”

Burger King To Reduce Methane Content In Its Cows Farts

            Fast food behemoth Burger King recently announced that it is modifying the diet of some of the cows it raises to make burgers in order to help reduce global warming. The company issued a statement proudly announcing that, by adding 100 grams of dried lemongrass leaves to the bovine’s daily feed, a reduction of up to 33% in methane emissions was achieved during the last three to four months of the cows’ lives. It touted the fact that it had worked with researchers from universities in Mexico and California in creating the new cattle menu and noted, “The good news is that this reduction was powered by a natural plant that grows from Mexico to India.”

Burger King further enhanced its virtue-signaling by proclaiming that it is offering its secret “Cows Menu Formula” free—absolutely free-- to every beef and cattle producer in the world. The statement read: "Burger King recognizes that global beef production and consumption have considerable climate impact. But we equally know that farmers and ranchers around the world care deeply for their land and their animals. By working together and getting the whole industry to adopt the open source formula, we can potentially reduce methane emissions.” The "reduced methane emissions beef" is set to be available for customers at a few select Burger King locations in Miami, New York, Austin, Los Angeles, and Portland beginning in mid-July. Nice try, but will it help? Apparently, what this country—and the planet—really needs are federally-mandated bovine emissions standards.

BK was so proud of its work to stymy climate change that it released a song about the breakthrough. It features children singing about its new initiative: "When cows fart and burp and splatter, well it ain't no laughing matter. They're releasing methane every time they do, and that methane from their rear goes up to the atmosphere and pollutes our planet warming me and you.” I smell a Grammy. Or maybe it’s a fanny.

              According to the EPA, the agricultural sector of the economy is responsible for roughly 9% of all greenhouse gas emissions in the United States and methane from livestock comprises about a quarter of the emissions from the sector. Therefore, and follow me closely here, the equation to determine the maximum potential percent reduction in greenhouse gases due to Burger King’s actions is: 33% (using BK’s most optimistic figure) X  9% X 25% X what percent of the Earth’s cows are Burger King’s X what percent of a cow’s life 3 or 4 months equals. So: 33% of 9% is 3%. 25% of 3% is .75 of one percent. The vast majority of the planet’s cows are not owned or controlled by BK, so let’s say 5% are, surely a vast overstatement.  5% of .75 of one percent is under four one-hundredths of one percent. Most cows are slaughtered between the ages of 15 and 18 months, so, taking the former figure, 3 to 4 months would equal about 25% of their lives. Ergo, 25% of four one-hundredths of one percent would yield a figure of one one-hundredth of one percent, a number so laughably low as to be insignificant, irrelevant and indicative of no possible effect on the Earth’s climate.

              Burger King’s statement is itself so much flatulence, reverse bovine bloviation of the raunchiest kind, all fat and no beef. It is shameless virtue-signaling dressed up as concern for the planet.

You can put lipstick on a pig, as the saying goes, but it’s still a pig. Similarly, BK can attempt to dress up its cow’s farts, but its own emanations still smell like crap. 

Progressive Counter-Protester Beaten For Carrying An American Flag

              Paul Welch, an anti-fascist protester, brought an American flag to a demonstration in Portland recently. Welch was one of many progressive Portland residents who came to the rally to show their opposition to a right-wing rally held at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park. He told The Oregonian that he didn’t come to the demonstration as part of a group, but that he was “just protesting outsiders coming here for their tacitly fascist event.”

              Antifa members demanded that he ditch the flag. He refused. So, the Antifa thugs brutally attacked him, clubbing him in the back of the head until he lay on the ground in a pool of his own blood. Welch said, “My bones turned to Jell-o and I just went down.” He believes there was a metal object affixed to the end of the club which struck him. A video of the assault exists showing a crowd of onlookers watching as he lays on the ground in a fetal position, as another counter-protester, holding a shield, stands above him and jabs him with a makeshift weapon.

              Welch said, “I remember thinking there was a very good chance that I could be beaten to death.”

              Antifa members called the American Flag “a fascist symbol,” proving beyond a shadow of a doubt both their hatred of the country and their astounding, terrifying ignorance. Not that long ago, Japan attacked the United States without warning, killing thousands of Americans on a sleepy Sunday morning. Germany did not attack Pearl Harbor. Still, incredibly, the Americans agreed with the British that the war against Nazi Germany would come first. Hundreds of thousands of young Americans were killed or wounded-- thousands of miles from their homeland-- as they liberated Europe from odious, fascist Nazi rule.

              Anyone-- any group, any government, any entity, any nation-- claiming the flag of the United States in any way stands for fascism…..is either preposterously ignorant, demented, or actively engaged in promoting ideological evil…illogically.

              Decent people disdain bullies. Conservatives disdain bullies. The United States was founded on opposition to arrogant, power-mad bullies. The antifa members involved in this senseless attack should have had the living (bull)shit kicked out of them. I only wish I had been there to help justice be served.

NBA Store Okay With "Enslave Tibet" Message, Not "Free Hong Kong"

              The NBA is allowing its players to wear jerseys with approved “social justice phrases” on the back this season and fans are following suit, ordering custom jerseys from the league’s online store. The official online store of the National Basketball League hews closely to the league’s policy on political statements, however. As such, it does not permit fans to order custom jerseys with certain offensive phrases on them. Like “Free Hong Kong,” for example. The Free Beacon reports that if one types “Free Hong Kong” into the text box on the store’s custom jersey page it returns a message stating: “We are unable to customize this item with the text you have entered. Please try a different entry.”

              “Black Lives Matter” is a message explicitly endorsed and approved by the league, as are those of “Power to the People,” “See Us,” “Hear Us,” “Respect Us,” “Love Us,” and “Stand Up,” among others. But any criticism of China’s Communist government is strictly verboten. You are not allowed to see, hear, respect, or love the people of Hong Kong who are being brutalized by an actual police state. Or stand up for them. Ironic, is it not?

              The Free Beacon noted that the following phrases don’t receive the “unable to customize this item with the text you have entered” warning: “F**k Hong Kong,” “End Taiwan,” “Enslave Tibet,” “Trump Has AIDS,” and “Beware Of Jews.” I know, the league/store didn’t go through every possible permutation of words and phrases…that would be impossible and impractical. But, that just proves the point: it—and the league—specifically made certain that “Free Hong Kong” was disallowed…ala “All Lives Matter.”*

              So, feel free to order “Screw Dignity,” “Reject Reason,” “F**K The Founders,” and “Mao Was Right” jerseys from the NBA store. But don’t get cute and try to come up with something controversial!

              Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) recently sent a letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver questioning his league’s new jersey policy vis-a-vis its censorship of messages critical of China. ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski responded to Hawley’s action by stating “F**k you.” ESPN suspended him, prompting a number of NBA players, including superstar LeBron James, to rally around him.

              Yeah. “Free OJ.” “Free Wojnarowski.” “Free NBA players making obscene salaries for being tall and good with a round ball.” But, the hell with the people of the formerly democratic country of Hong Kong. Sorry, but there’s lots of money to be made from the biggest market in the world.

              I have a social justice message for the NBA: “F**K You!”

Nightmare In New York

Escape from NewYork. Now. If you can. That seems to be the thinking of hundreds of thousands of Big Apple denizens as the city, recently one of the safest in the world, devolves into a dystopian hell at the hands of demented progressives.           

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and his former police commissioners such as Bernard Kerik, who headed up the NYPD force from 2000-2001 and directed the police response to 9/11, can only watch and weep as the city they had so successfully cleaned up rapidly descends into chaos and carnage. This Nightmare in New York is brought to you courtesy of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio, and a cast of thousands of Black Lives Matter protesters, anarchists and street thugs. The once vibrant city is turning into a virtual no-go zone of looted shops, shuttered store windows and skyrocketing murder rates. The number of shooting victims is up 51% this year so far, and that tragic trend is accelerating. In June of this year there were 250 shootings, as opposed to 97 in June of 2019.

New York was already reeling from the highest coronavirus death toll in the (formerly) United States, due in large part to Gov. Cuomo approving the transfer of thousands of recovering COVID-19 patients to nursing homes at the height of the pandemic. Then the rioting began, and Mayor de Blasio’s response was to shame cops and propose cutting his city’s police department budget by more than one billion dollars. (That’s one thousand million for those of you who were educated in the city’s public schools.)

The Dimwitted Duo have caused a mass exodus, with 500,000 mostly middle-class New Yorkers fleeing the city thus far and many more likely to follow. Half a million New Yorkers heading for the proverbial hills. That’s more than the entire population of Minneapolis, where all the madness started. Of course, with the Minneapolis City Council repeatedly voting to disband its police force, the entire population of the “Minneapple” may head for the hills, as well.

The Big Apple is rotting and shrinking. Needlessly. Minneapolis is too. As are many other large American cities. The rioters and the elites are together making these cities uninhabitable for everyone else, including the police.

And they call it “social justice.”

Vandals Cut Down Flagpole At 9/11 Memorial

              A flagpole at a memorial just outside of New York City, honoring five firefighters who died trying to save lives in the terror attack of September 11^th, 2001, was cut down by vandals recently. The city’s soon-to-be massively underfunded police department is investigating. The damage to the display in Washingtonville, about 30 miles north of New York, was discovered on Wednesday morning, July 8^th. Brian Zaccaro, the town’s police chief, told the Times-Herald Record that vandals severed the pole five feet up from its base and then scrawled a message on the part of the pole remaining. A message that police rather ominously declined to disclose. They did note, however, that the eagle figure that had been attached to the top of the flagpole was found next to a toppled sign at the St. Mary’s Parish Center a half-mile away.

              This is a good illustration of who The Mob is and what it’s about. Cutting down an American flagpole at a site honoring firefighters who died helping others when foreign terrorists attacked America killing roughly 3,000 people of all races and religions certainly makes their motives clear. This never had anything to do with race. It is an all-out assault on the United States and its founding principles. It is also an attack on excellence, hard work, capitalism and Christianity. This is also an attempt to threaten people into renaming towns like Washingtonville and to disavow the legacy of the Founding Fathers. It is, ultimately, an attempt to pave the way for Socialism and a Marxist government. (As BLM openly states on its web page.)

              Police officers around the ever more fruited plain are retiring or walking off the job before they get defunded, laid off, or permanently dismissed. There should be a memorial to them, but it would just get destroyed anyway.

 Washingtonville police may not have disclosed the domestic terrorists’ message, vile as it may be, but it was utterly clear anyway: “We choose evil over good, chaos over the rule of law. We hate the U.S. and everything it stands for. We hate you, too, and we are coming for you. We know you are too weak to stop us.”  

 Unfortunately, in that, it appears they are correct.

Students Offended By Nearly Everything

              Campus Reform Digital Reporter Eduardo Neret went to a college campus to ask students their views on the cancel culture, specifically the movement to remove potentially offensive college mascots, symbols and statues. Neret presented the young scholars with images including the University of Florida’s “Gator Bait” chant/gesture, the San Diego State University Aztec mascot, the George Washington University and College of the Holy Cross logos, and the weather vane at Dartmouth College.

              Suffice it to say, most students were offended by almost everything. One said of the George Washington University Colonials mascot, “Why would you have a mascot of someone who basically stole land.” I smell talk of reparations! I wonder if the students who are “enabling” the school would be willing to pay up first?

              Neret asked students what standard should be used to determine if something is offensive. One replied, “It’s hard because what is allowed for these things to happen is that someone, probably...there was ignorance.” Yes, “someone, probably…there was ignorance.” There certainly is ignorance now. Nowhere more so than on college campuses. Another remarked, “I really think it’s at your own discretion.” That clearly appears to be the case today. There are an astounding number of freelance offendees around the fruited plain, many of them clogging our highways and byways.

              Then Neret asked the youthful academics how many students should have to be offended for colleges and universities to take action. Many responded that just one student saying they were offended should be enough to warrant changes. One. “If one person has offended me, as president of the school, I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that one person feels comfortable,” one tutee said. What about the one who offended that student? What if he or she is offended by their being offended? If that is the standard, nothing and no one would be allowed. Someone is offended by virtually everything. Many people love dogs. Some are offended by them. Some are offended by meat, some by vegetarians. Some are offended by Fords, others by Chevrolets. Some cultures are offended by burping, some if you don’t burp. And aren’t all cultures equal? I, for one, am greatly offended by people so easily offended they believe they have the right to tear down public statues and burn down private businesses.

              Maybe we should just eliminate everything and all just cancel each other out. That sounds like a recipe for a prosperous, healthy and happy society, doesn’t it?

              I am “offended” by brussels sprouts. I don’t like their taste-- or their smell while cooking. But if someone is eating them across the table from me, I don’t have the right to reach across, grab their plate and smash it on the floor. Nor do I have the right to demand a ban on the manufacture and sale of brussels sprouts in the United States. Or even a separate “safe room” in which to consume my dinner unmolested by the vile Belgian mini-cabbages.

Yes, the round green vegetable got its name because they were routinely cultivated in Belgium in the 16^th century. Say, isn’t that a clear case of “appropriation?” I find that offensive. And I came across that fact on a website called southernliving.com. Southern as in the Deep South, the confederacy. It’s probably run by crackers draped in Confederate flags! That is offensive to me!

When the phrase “All Lives Matter” is considered by many to be patently offensive, you know that society is near collapse.

And that should be offensive to everyone.

Diversity Is Our Strength

“Diversity is our strength.” Remember that when you are “sheltering in place” in hopes of being spared by the coronavirus. “Celebrate diversity!” Remember that when your favorite body of water is infested with invasive species. “Coexist.” Ponder that brief bon mot the next time a drag queen reads to your seven-year-old son in the school library or a man claiming to be a woman shares a locker room with your young daughter. “Tolerance. Pass it on.” This is an especially helpful message when your “MAGA” hat is being ripped off of your head and you and your family are kicked out of a restaurant for supporting the current President of the United States. Or when one of the social media giants demonetizes you for not sharing their opinions.

*Britain, today—Gangs of mostly Pakistani men rape young girls with impunity. Some estimates claim more than 1,400 mostly white pubescent girls have been victimized in Rotherham alone in recent years. British politicians and police actually have been exceptionally tolerant of these sex-crimes due to fears of racism, bigotry and xenophobia. No #MeToo here. I mean, there are ever increasing numbers of Middle Eastern men in (formerly) Great Britain, and the girls are way too young to vote. Tolerance. Pass it on. (Let’s fervently hope the Brits don’t engage in cultural appropriation in this case!)
